The before awakening

As I went up the stairs. I felt as if everything around me was vanishing. The more I kept going, more things starts vanishing. It took a moment for me to realize that the sky was turning black.

"Ok. I need to be reasonable about this... I can either solve this peacefully and have another me on board or everything can go to hell..."

I said to myself. I kept thinking for different ways to solve this without causing too much conflicts. Then a bright sun was formed at the very end of the stairs. It dint affected my eyesight cause of the sunglasses. I continued moving forward and started to hear a voice.

"Destroy... everything... everything that exists in this world..."

"Even if it means destroying myself..."

I said after hearing the voice. I then began to see everyone that I know in this world. From my friends over by the celestial kingdom to those who are here in Retronia, wondering on how are things going.

"Is there a reason for me to destroy this world? Is there even a reason I don't need to save it!?"

"There is... no point... in salvation... everything... must be... destroyed..."

The voice said to me. I then felt as if my sense of reality was about to break. The black sky was shifting as if it was a void. I then stopped, feeling that something was wrong.

"That does it..."

I took off my coat and tied it around my waist. Then I put on my gloves to give myself some control over my actions. It was about time for me to end this, and I was about to take it seriously.

"From the deepest part of my heart... Release the only thing I regret in this world... My true power..."

I said out loud. Then my left eye began to glow. Its glow intensified that it felt as if it was leaking out.

"You... will fail..."

"Then I'll just do as I please and be the savior for this world... Starting now."

I clenched my fist, and the void started to vanish. Returning to the black sky. And I kept going on. The sun vanished. Leaving me to become the only light in the darkness. Then the sky returned to normal as I finally reached the top. I let my presence known once my I stood still to examining the area.

"I didn't expect you to be here... Lod."

When I called out Lod's name. They came out from a portal and sat down on a ledge on the door exits into the building.

"My favorite test subject. Did you come here to say hi?"

"No... I came here to clean up my mistake... So where is my exact copy of me?"

I asked Lod. It was hard to tell their expression because of the mask, but it was sure enough that I was going to have a conversation with them.

"He is on his way... Would you love to talk or fight me instead?"

"I would fight you, but ya know. There is something that I want to know... Is Ragnarok awake?"

"So you want to know that? He is awake but a sleep at the same time. Drifting thru space until he reaches a planet to crash on."

Lod then pointed at the sky. I looked up, and I felt a faint presence in space. My body shivered in fear, but it gave me more excitement that my target was on his way, until something was under my left foot.

"Wait... You got to be kidding me."

At that moment. I realized that my copy was like a blob, gathering from all directions into one spot.

"So all the ns in this place, even the ones that are infected... Where because of my copy?"

"That is right. I would like you to meet my new experiment. The copy cat."

"Copy cat!?! Then where the hell is the mimic!?!"

"You looking at it."

Lod said. He then pointed at the exact copy of me that was raised from the ground. It stunned me to see an exact copy of me standing in front of me.

"Lod... Do you know... what is meant to face an exact copy of yourself?"

"Explain."

"When you face an exact copy... Only one can coexist in this world... One lives and the other must die. Simple as that..."

I said. Then the copy cat was done forming its body, but it didn't form the coat or the glasses. Making it simple to distinguish who is who.

"So you must be Dennis... It's a shame that you must die here."

The copy cat said. I then stomped the ground with my right foot and make him tremble in fear.

"Careful with your words, you don't know what you have done..."

I said to the copycat. Lod then left by using a portal, only leaving me and my copy alone on the rooftop to square off. We both got into position and ready up for our fight.

"Any last words before you die, Dennis?"

"Yes... You should have finished me when ya first saw me..."

I said to the copycat. He then ran at me with his right fist up. I was able to read his moves so easily that I simple moved out of the way and tripped him. He ended up falling off the building, but after a brief moment. A bright purple light appeared, and I felt a powerful presence from inside of it.

"Like I said... You should have finished me when ya first saw me!!"

The light then vanished. Revealing my copy with black wings on the back, he was holding as well a sword made out of pure darkness.

"Then let's put an end to this!!"

The copy cat said. He then pointed his sword at me.

"I can agree to that!"

I said out loud. I then called out Obliviona in her sword form and pointed at my opponent with a serious smile on my face.
