The Angel in the Desert

They enter the room where they saw it was dusty and full of spider webs. But on a chair across from the door was one of the paintings made by Lynne the Painter, It has what looked like a desert on it with a pyramid in the background.

"Alright, he wasn't lying," said Crono. He sees a box that was red and white and it starts playing pop and goes the weasel song.

"GET COVER!" yelled Joel who thought it was a bomb. They get back to behind the counter in the kitchen. The music ends and a small jester pops out with confetti coming out.

"Well, here I thought it was a bomb too when it was going," said Oliver.

"would not shock me at this point," said Crono.

"We should not bring all of us," said Oliver.

"I will go," said Joel.

"Sophie, should come we could use her information on the things in it," said Crono.

"I will go too," said Devil Knight.

"I can give support," said Raphael. Crono, Joel, Devil Knight, Raphael, and Sophie enter the Desert Painting.

They stood on the edge of the desert looking around.

"Whoa it's like a real desert," said Joel.

"This Lynne has a special talent," said Raphael.

"We should be careful," said Sophie. "There are some creatures that are very dangerous here there is a sandworm called the Mountain Destroyer that lives here."

"We should head to the pyramid if any of the scholars here," said Crono.

"Alright," said Joel. They would walk through the sands and try to make it to the Pyramid.

They make it halfway when they start to feel the ground shaken.

"Watch out," said Devil Knight. A giant purple worm pops out of the ground in front of them with large tentacles on it. The Worm grabs both Crono and the Devil Knight with its tentacles.

"Damn it," said Crono. He tries to use his fire but cannot he feels as if his power was being drained.

"I've never seen this creature before," said Sophie.

"it must be new," said Raphael. Joel looks at the situation and sighs.

"I have no choice then," said Joel. He lifts his right hand as light blue transparent wings appear behind him and a giant bolt of lightning strikes down at the worm which makes it let go of Crono and the Devil Knight and run away.

"That was Angel Magic," said Raphael.

"Joel?" asked Crono in confusion.

"I knew there was something about you," said Sophie.

"Sorry to keep it from you, Crono," said Joel. "Yes, I am an Angel a half-one at that,"

"But why keep it a secret?" asked Crono.

"It's because at one point I was tasked to kill you," said Joel. "My name Joel is a short version of my name as my real name is Jophiel, Son of Gabriel, which would make me related to you two."

"I think I get the picture now," said Devil Knight.

"Yeah, but it, when I met Crono and Reggie, is when I abandon my mission, and when I disappeared from the Angel's contact. We both should know how our grandfather views us half beings," said Joel.

"I see, well you would have told me at some point," said Crono.

"We should get going before that thing wants to try lunch again," said Sophie.

"yeah," said Crono. They continue their way to the pyramid.
