Chapter Ninety: Court

"The nerve of that woman!" Katherine grunts, slamming the door shut.

"I hate to say I'm not surprised." My dad mutters, slamming his own door before startling to buckle in his seatbelt. My mom scoffs, strapping up as well.

"How dare they try to make our daughter into some cheap attention seeking floozy? What happened to my child was real for heaven's sake!" her arms are flinging wildly in the air amidst her rage.

"I curse the day I introduced our daughter to that wicked family." My dad says under his breathe, slamming the steering wheel woefully as he put his BMW in reverse.

"You couldn't have known." Katherine Wyatt mews, rubbing my dad's shoulder. I watch the exchange between them with curious eyes, wanting to distract myself from what they are talking about.
