Chapter Ninety-One: Papers

Anthony's POV

The front door opens as I pour myself another shot of Jameson, right on time. Her heels clack loudly through the huge house, and I listen with anticipation as the sound gets louder. I am taking a sip of my drink when she barges in, wearing the biggest smile I have ever seen on her face.

That is not a good sign.

I did not go to court today, not wanting to overwhelm Azania with all 3 of us in the same room. I have been driving myself up the wall the entire morning, trying to figure out what could be happening, and whether she was handling it okay.

I expected Gia to come back in tears or in a fury. Not in smiles.
