Chapter 12

Jon couldn't sleep the whole night, he kept thinking about Sara and what she saw. No doubt she already thought that he betrayed her. He wish that he could reverse the clock so that this never happened. It took all night but now Jon figured out why Serena was there and the coincidence of Sara coming over at the right time was too perfect for it to be a coincidence.

Jon sat in a chair with his face in his hands, Serena came down the stairs and saw him sitting there alone. Serena placed a hand on his shoulder which made Jon lookup at her. "This is your fault" Jon said as anger swelled within him.

Serena had a confused expression on her face, Jon stood up from his seat and approached her. Serena was now scared of what Jon might do to her. "If you hadn't come during the day and put on your little show for Sara none of this would have happened" Jon said.

"What show Jon?" Serena said "Nothing that happened was pretend or for show" Serena said and Jon laughed. "Serena don't bullshit me ok" Jon said with an annoyed expression on his face.

"We both know that I wouldn't sleep with you if I was sound of mind" that hurt Serena a little bit but she was not backing down. "You wouldn't hurt me Jon, I know that" Serena said and Jon paused for a moment. Serena was right Jon doesn't hurt people especially women.

"Get out Serena" Jon said heading towards the forging area of the shop "But Jon-" Serena began to say "I said GET OUT!" Jon said yelled and slammed his hand on the table beside him. Serena ran out of the store quickly before Jon did anything else.

Jon started up the forge and began his work, he had some deliveries to do today as well. Jon was lost in his own world as he worked. But every now and then his mind would drift back to Sara. He remembered the look on her face when she saw him and Serena, the look she had when she left here, the kiss they shared.

Jon stopped what he was doing and sat down on a stool near him, he stared at the fire roaring from the forge for a while. His mind thought of a million of things all at once. He knew that Sara would not forgive him but it didn't mean that he should give up.

Jon closed the forge and cleaned himself up, he put on a white shirt and a jacket. He looked in the mirror and made sure he at least looked decent and closed the store. He saddle up his horse and urged the horse forward and rode to Sara's house.

Sara seemed like she was in a daze, being heartbroken wasn't something that you can bounce back so easily. Sara kept to herself in her room, the girls have tried to talk to her since last night.

Sara everytime time told them that she was fine but she really wasn't, she was sitting on her bed with a small box in her hands. She slowly opened the lid and inside there was 2 rings inside.

One was like a steel band that looked like a men's ring and the other had a thin band with a small stone. The stone was a nice rich blue color it had little diamonds surrounding it like sunflower petals.

Under the rings there was a small card in a envelope, Sara took the envelope out and then took the card out. It read:

" We Formally Invite You to the Wedding of

Sara Silva Petrova

&

Silas Valente Angelov

Please join us in this happy occasion as they take their first steps as husband and wife"

A single tear fell from Sara's face and onto the card as she remembered her wedding, her husband, and their happy life together. No one in the coven knew about her past not even Eve knew.

This was a secret that she kept to herself, it has been 7 years since she lost her husband. Then Jon came into her life, Sara thought Jon could be the one but alas she was wrong.

The only man for her was Silas, she could picture their house in Europe it was a little villa by the water. Sara always felt like she was on an island far away from everyone, Silas was a witch like her. They were happy and content with their lives then a couple of months before tragedy fell upon them.

Sara and Silas were expecting their first child when people from the village came at night with torches in their hands. Sara and Silas were asleep when the villagers began throwing their torches and burning their home. They woke up to the smell of smoke and fire Silas and Sara tried to escape the fire and they almost succeeded but debris from the roof fell and Silas pushed Sara forward to save her.

When Sara turned around she saw her husband lying on the floor motionless "Silas!" Sara screamed and tried to run to him but more debris was falling from the roof and Sara had to get out fast.

She saw a door near her and ran to it as fast as she could she open the door and the cool breeze of the night hit her. Sara fell to her knees as she gasp for fresh air, she looked at her house behind her. Her life, her love, her happiness was burning away to ash.

Tears streamed down her face as she placed a hand on her stomach and rubbed it gently. Sara stayed there all night and slept on the ground as she didn't want head to the village. Dusk had arrived and Sara walked in the ruins of her home there was nothing to salvage. Nothing was spared from the fire, she could smell burnt flesh and saw her husband or what was left of him.

Sara went down on her knees as the shock was unbearable for her to stand. Tears streamed down her face as she mourned her love. Villagers came back to see the results of what happened. All they saw was a woman crying for her husband while expecting for her child.

Then a sudden wave of pain went through her body and Sara screamed, she was scared something had happened to her child. Sara couldn't move so that she could stand. She felt a hand on her shoulder and saw it was an elderly woman beside her and then a small group of women surrounded her.

Sara looked around her and saw the villagers watching from a distance "Who are you?" she asked the elderly woman. The woman smiled and said "travellers my dear, we belong to a coven" Sara winced from the pain but didn't say anything. The group of women helped Sara deliver her child but there was so sound, no cry from the child.

Sara looked at the women for an answer "What's wrong?" she asked them "What happened?" Sara asked the elderly woman shook her head as the baby was shown to her. "Your child has passed my dear" the woman said and Sara was in disbelief and was overwhelmed by everything that she passed out.

Sara was snapped out of her memory when she heard a knock at her door. Sara quickly put everything back into her box and hid it behind her pillow. "Come in" Sara said and Emily opened the door "Jon is here to see you Sara" she said and Sara nodded her head and Emily left closing the door.
