Prologue

The first incident was in Ching-Ching city an extraordinary child was born who radiated light. After that reports of people with superpowers popped up across the globe, no one knew what was causing these quirks. Oddly every single one of these people was also born with some sort of disability causing one of there senses to be dysfunctional. Before long the supernatural became the totally normal, dreams a reality. The world became a superhuman society. With about 80% of the population possessing some uncanny ability. Our streets looked like scenes from comic books. As cities swarmed with chaos and confusion a new profession dominated our collective consciousness, it was an age of heroes and soulmates.

When you meet your soulmate your sense starts to function however it will be very faint until you grow a bond with them. My name is Izuku Midoriya and I'm a part of the 20% of the population without a quirk and the 80% that have a soulmate. My soulmate and I don't have our senses of touch. We can still move but can't feel anything. I used to think that Kacchan was my soulmate but by the time we were 4 he lost his sight and I lost my feeling.

Izuku Midoriya sat in class fiddling with his pen, not processing a single word his teacher said. Usually, he was a well-behaved student and would be very diligent in class but right now he was too focused on thinking about his soulmate.

'Were they nice?'

'What was there gender?'

'What was there name?'

'What did they look like?'

'Would they like him?'

'Where did they live?'

'Could he ever meet them?'

'How would they meet?'

Millions of questions swarmed around his mind until they were interrupted by the bell. He shook away his thoughts, standing to gather his books. He was still quite dazed from his thoughts until his hero notebook slipped through his fingers. He rotated his head to see who had removed it from his grip only to see his childhood friend Katsuki Bakugou. "Kacchan!", Izuku jumped up and hugged his best friend. "Tch, don't touch me nerd", Katsuki spat pushing the younger off and stuffing his notebook back into his bag. "Sorry about that Kacchan" "Yeah, whatever. Look I gotta go", hearing this statement Izuku's sheepish smile from earlier turned into a frow of confusion until he remembered what Katsuki had told him earlier. "Just don't bother me today I have a date after school Deku". His face once again morphed into a teasing expression as he wiggled his eyebrows smirking. Katsuki's face began to turn bright red as he elbowed his friend, "S-shut up". "Well, you should get going Kacchan, don't want to keep your boyfriend waiting". Katsuki couldn't embarrass himself anymore so he chooses not to speak knowing all too well that if he did he would be a stuttering mess. So instead he opted to flip Izuku off and walk away. "Bye Kacchan, I'll see you tomorrow!"

Time skip

While Izuku was waiting for his mom to call him for dinner he plopped down onto his bed closing his eyes and sighing. He just laid in his place until his phone went off. He reached over to his desk looking at the contact. 'KacchanđŸ’„'. He immediately lifted his phone knowing Katsuki wouldn't call him if it wasn't important.

"Kacchan?"

"Deku, I found it"

"What?, What did you find?"

"My soulmate, the person I'm on a date with there my soulmate"

"That's great Kacchan, but why do you sound so mad?"

"Cause that guy is stupid as fuck"

"Kacchan! You shouldn't judge people without knowing them properly! Just give him a chance, I'm sure he'll be a great person"

"Why do you have to be so positive, stupid Deku, tch. Whatever, I'm going"

Just when Izuku was about to say bye Katsuki cut the call. Leaving the emerald-eyed boy sighing, "He shouldn't be so quick to judge people", he muttered shaking his head. "Izuku come down for dinner", his mother Inko Midoriya called, and with that Izuku bolted down stares to enjoy a lovely home-cooked dinner with his lovely mother.
