Still with you

On a cold, dark, and rainy day, Izuku Midoriya sat alone in a cafe after his shift had ended waiting for his childhood friend, Katsuki Bakugou, to show up. 60 minutes he had been waiting, finally, he was losing his patience so he decided to call him again. No answer again. "Damn it!", he muttered. "Excuse me, sir, we'll be closing shortly", a frail and soft voice spoke. Izuku turned his head to be met with a tall, beautiful woman. She had long black hair tied into a ponytail which ended at the collar of her white and red striped button-up, which was neatly tucked into her red short skirt. On her top was a small rectangular name plate reading 'Momo Yaoyorozu'. "Oh, right, I'm sorry miss", he spoke with a smile gathering his things. "Would you like me to pack up your food sir", Momo asked, Izuku simply nodded his head in approval. After about 5 minutes Izuku was handed his packed cake by a male with spiky red hair. Izuku thanked the man and walked out of the cafe heading in the direction of his home. Halfway there he received a phone call from Katsuki, without any hesitation he answered.

"Hello"

"Hey, Deku, I gotta cancel, the old hag is nagging me"

"Oh, it's all right Kacchan, the cafe just closed anyway"

"Then I'll see you at school nerd"

"Bye Kacchan"

"Bye Deku"

With that Katsuki cut the call. A sigh escaped Izuku's lips as he continued to walk.

Splash

"Ouch!" he exclaimed, even though he couldn't feel anything

"Oh I'm sorry are you alright"

Izuku opened his eyes and looked up seeing a boy with split hair and heterochromatic eyes, his arm outstretched offered to Izuku. He placed his hand in the other large and soft one-WAIT SOFT!?!?-. "I'm fine, thank you," He said with a small smile. The other male had a seemingly puzzled expression and kept holding Izuku's hand. "Um... I should go now, my mom's waiting", Izuku uncomfortably muttered. "Oh, right", he let go of Izuku's hand and walked away in the other direction. Izuku dusted himself off and kept walking home.

Shoto Todoroki stared at his hand puzzled, how was he able to feel that boy's hand? 'Was he really-no, he couldn't be. Maybe it was just a feeling. Yeah, some freak coincidence. Nothing less, nothing more. No reason to worry' he assured himself while walking off to the grocery store.

"Welcome back Izuku! How was your day?", the short greenette asked her son. "It was okay, Kacchan was busy and couldn't come-", he said with a frown on his face, one that spread to Inko Midoriya. "-but I met someone today", he finished with a smile which also spread to Inko. "And who would that be?", she questioned. "Well, I don't exactly know. I just bumped into someone but when he was helping me up I was able to feel his hand", Izuku said, still puzzled from the encounter earlier. Inko gasped, "He could be your soulmate Izuku!", she squealed with excitement wrapping her son in a suffocating embrace. "Mom! You don't know that for sure it could just be a coincidence!", Izuku squeaked out blushing profusely at the thought of the beautiful man he encountered being his soulmate. "It could be but I doubt it is", she spoke with a small smirk. "Alright, alright, I'll stop", she retreated seeing as her son looked uncomfortable. "If you don't have any homework could you help me make dinner?", she asked. "Sure", Izuku said as he went to change.

After he finished and they decided to make Katsudon they began preparing the dish enjoying some nice music. Once again the topic of soulmates was brought up with Inko asking several questions about them and Izuku stumbling over his words trying to answer. After dinner, the two cleaned up and went off to bed. Izuku tried for hours on end to fall asleep but to no avail. He couldn't stop thinking of that man from before. What if maybe just maybe he was his soulmate, his true love, his one and only, the person meant for him, was it even a possibility? Izuku tried to stop his mind from wandering to something that would make him hurt but instead, his mind wandered to something even worse. He began picturing the boy and him in different scenarios, sitting in the park eating ice cream, playing in a pool, cuddling in their sleep, and even kissing. He kicked around from embarrassment, why must he be like this? The boy even went as far as to slap himself to try stopping his thoughts but nothing seemed to work. So he laid in bed with images and scenarios of the two-toned boy and him clouding his dreams.

Shoto had just arrived home from the grocery store after buying all the necessary items he was told to bring. He placed the bag in the kitchen before he headed upstairs to change into something just as lavish but much more comfortable. Once he had finished he headed back downstairs to assist his sister in making dinner and ask a bit about that emerald-eyed boy. "How come you're helping Otoutosan?", asked Fuyumi Todoroki, genuinely confused as her youngest brother usually opted to do work over offering her help. The heterochromic boy didn't want to reveal his true intentions as it would seem rather selfish. "I just felt like it", he mumbled hoping to sound convincing but Fuyumi could see right through his tactic. "There's no way you 'just felt like it', there's a reason so what is it?", he was surprised, to say the least, he didn't expect her to see through him so easily, then again she had told him on several occasions that he wasn't a great liar. "Alright fine can you punch me", "What? Why would I do that?", Fuyumi was now even more confused, why would she punch him? "Well I might have met my soulmate", he explained. "That's great! but I still don't get why I would punch you?", she asked, grabbing his shoulders.

"I'm not sure if it was really my soulmate or not so I want to check"

"But I can't punch you"

"Then pinch me"

"That I can do", she began moving her arm to Shoto's face with a big grin, she hadn't done something mystifying in years, even if this wasn't much it still brought back memories. "Ouch", Shoto exclaimed as Fuyumi squashed and pulled his checks. It didn't hurt that much but he was still able to feel it. Hearing his outburst Fuyumi gasped he really met his soulmate! Her face erupted with joy as she engulfed him in a hug, tears making their way to the brim of her eyes. "Oneesan calm down, it doesn't mean he's my soulmate they could have been someone else" "Yeah sure"

They both decided it would be best if they used the time of cooking to toss aside this topic but Fuyumi couldn't help but bring it up once again. She tried not to go too far and instead chose to ask about the boy's appearance. The more Shoto thought about the boy the more he noticed that the boy was quite cute. The atmosphere around them was relaxed and calm as Shoto talked about the mystery boy he met and Fuyumi about her colleague, close friend, and crush (F/N) (L/N). Unfortunately, the peace changed when the door slammed open causing both to cease their conversation. As expected the noise was caused by Enji Todoroki who came angrily stomping passed the room not even sparing a glance at his children. Honestly, both of them were quite pleased that he didn't come into the room, especially Shoto, he was glad that Endeavor was upset. He just hoped he wouldn't take that frustration out on him now that he was able to feel. Should he tell him? No, he would only be more ruthless. Fuyumi and Shoto continued their conversation as a whisper with mostly Fuyumi speaking. After they had finished eating, Fuyumi went back to work leaving Shoto contemplating what to do. It was a weekend and he had already finished all his work so he didn't have anything to do, he decided to just go to sleep early today, bad move. He couldn't fall asleep no matter what he did, he needed to know if that boy was his soulmate. The rest of the night he spent staring at the selling thinking of that boy and pinching himself, he could feel it, every single one. By around, 3:00 am he had finally fallen asleep if only he knew what his dreams would be he would have much rather stayed awake(let's just say he gonna have a problem when he wakes up ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ).

That night Inko went to bed extremely excited and happy for her son. She truly believed that he had found his meant to be and knew that if that was the case they would have many more encounters. She could only hope she was right and that they would be happy together. Despite her joy she had an odd feeling of dread yet also familiarity as if the person Izuku described was familiar to her as if she knew them if only she knew, alas she was too naive.
