The Dream

I woke in a frenzy. My Heart is trembling. I cannot sleep, so instead I write.

I had a Dream. He was there. Thoughts of this man invade my mind.

His face. His hair. His eyes. His smile. Everything about him was so clear. It felt so Real. I must document...

"Have we met?"

I notice his eyes. It's him! I take a Deep Breath. "I do not Believe so, but our encounter earlier indicates that we have."

He stares Deeply into my Soul. "That is incorrect, but I suspected you might say that." A dangerous heat begins to fill the room.

I maintain my posture. I do not waiver my stance.

"The QUEEN. How delightfully delicious."

My Heart skips as I capture my Breath. He laughs. A musical, melodic laugh. I am enamored, though cautious yet.

"Do you fear me, QUEEN?" He twirls a ring, rolling it between his fingers as he takes a step forward.

I remain silent. My gaze steeling. Another laugh. This time louder and all-consuming.

"You have Become much harder. No longer a sweet, little doe."

Another step closer. And another. And another. He is closing the gap between us.

"One more step, and I will destroy you."

The king? I refuse to turn my head towards the new voice that has entered to confirm my suspicions. My surprise hidden.

This Beautiful new stranger once again laughs. I am entranced. He is quite a Vision. I take him in.

Sleek, black hair.. wild and wavy, yet somehow tamed. Deep molten eyes burn with flecks of gold and amber. - filled with a Passionate intensity I have yet to Discover.

Like a moth to a flame, I feel myself quiver. Liquid pools of lust fill my insides. I do not recognize this person who behaves as if he is more than familiar.

I speak. "Who are you?"

"Get rid of your 'bodyguard', and then we will speak."

Not Knowing of whom he speaks, I hear myself quickly agree. "Leave."

"But my QUEEN! You are in danger!" It is the king. I do not allow this supposedly dangerous stranger out of my sight.

"You have not Earned the Right to Speak for me. I said Leave." The king hesitantly agrees. I no longer feel his presence with me.

The stranger smiles. A wicked smile. Gleaming white teeth. He is even more Beautiful than before.

"A Wise Woman."

"We shall See."

Silence reigns. Tension builds. He takes one last step forward, closing the remaining space between us, simultaneously sliding one arm around my waist and pressing himself firmly against me. He lifts my face to meet his gaze. I Breathe calmly.

"Unfazed?"

I say nothing.

"Mmm. Those lips. Even more tasty." He dips his head, trailing his teeth gently along my jawbone until reaching my earlobe. He nibbles. I feel his warm, heavy breath upon me. He whispers, "Does this remind you of anything?"

I sat up, panting. Sweat glistening all over my body. My thoughts disheveled. The king nowhere to be found. Not an unusual occurrence, but tonight I was grateful to not have him around.

This man.. this Beautiful Stranger.. has Awakened something within me, but I do not Know how.

For it is just a Dream. It is not Real. And The TRUTH remains that I have somehow caused him pain.

My Investigation begins now.
