The Unexpected Day
The day came when I had to face the truth that I would have another life with another guy.
Claire: you are beautiful with the white dress!
Ray: thank you so much, I wished Dr Glassman was here to attend the wedding.
Claire: who said that he is not here? Ray he is watching you because he loved you as his daughter!
Ray: yes right!
Claire: so we move! They are all waiting!
Ray: ah! Yes!
Dr Melendez: Ray! You are pretty!
Leo: yes you look awesome!
Ray: thank you so much!
Leo: the judge is waiting for us Ray!
Ray: oh yes!
The judge: hi! Both of you are going to sign here on this book!
Leo: yes sir! What's wrong with you Ray? You don't feel okey?
Ray: No! I am fine!
At that moment I heard a loud voice from the hall saying my name, but that voice was familiar to me- yes I knew it- it was Callum's voice!
Ray: What?
Leo: Ray! Do you know him?
Ray: is that you?
Leo: answer me! Who is that man?
Ray: it's Callum!
Leo: you told me he is dead!
Ray: yes he is supposed to be dead! But I don't understand anything!
Callum: Ray! Are you going to get married? But you are still my wife!
Ray: why did you lie to me?
Callum: I am going to tell you everything later!
Leo: she won't go with you!
Callum: let's go Ray!
Leo: Don't Ray!
Callum: Ray! Did you forget everything I did to you? Say!
Ray: oh my god! I am confused! I am sorry Leo but I have to go with him!
Leo: but why?
Ray: because I am still married to him! So I am really sorry!
Callum: let's go now!
I left the party hall with Callum and every one was choked, in fact I could not stay with Leo because I really felt insecure. What I wanted to know why Callum did that! I was waiting for the answer!
Ray: where are we now?
Callum: we are far from the city! In another province.
Ray: why did you come back?
Callum: I saw you on the TV, and when I heard about Dr Glassman's death I felt sad, he was my only friend.
Ray: did Dr Glassman know about what you did?
Callum: yes and I told him to hide this from you!
Ray: why did you do that?
Callum: you are asking a lot questions! I forgot to tell you that your dress is awesome.
Ray: stop changing the topic!
Callum: I am going to take a nap, so go cook something for me!
Ray: what? I am not your maid Callum!
Callum: don't forget to wake me up when the dinner is ready! Bye!
Ray: what's wrong with him? He disappeared and came back as nothing happened! Weird man! I am going to change and prepare the dinner! Damn he brought me here to serve him or what! I want to go back home! I am going to talk to him! Hey! You! Wake up!
Callum: is the dinner ready?
Ray: No it is not!
Callum: so why did you wake me up?
Ray: we need to talk!
Callum: about what?
Ray: about everything you did!
Callum: I didn't do anything I let Dr Glassman taking care of you!
Ray: why did you lie about your death? You could have said you don't want to live with me, I would not prevent you from that!
Callum: I won't discuss about that Ray! It is not the suitable time!
Ray: I really suffered and the only person I found beside me was Dr Glassman not you because you disappeared just like that for 3 years. You are cold hearted!
Callum: what? You don't understand anything!
Ray: no I understand a lot of things! You are cold even your friend's funeral you didn't come! Let me go home now! I won't stay here! I am talking to you! Why are you leaving?
Callum: you are still a kid!
Ray: annoying! I am not going to talk to you anymore!
Callum: ok!
Ray: damn it! I don't know how to go home! Even my phone I didn't bring it! Oh my god he made me angry, I have no intention to see him!
Callum: Ray! I am hungry!
Ray: I don't care! Go buy something because I don't want to talk to
You!
Callum: ok I won't talk to you!
Ray: that's good! I have a headache, I go to sleep!
The day after.
Ray: I need a coffee! I shall prepare it!
Callum: Ray! You came to prepare a coffee for me?
Ray: no way! Stop imagining! I am not going to do anything for you!
Callum: ok I will prepare it by myself!
Ray: good luck then!
I spent three days angry with Callum, he would not even explain anything to me till he said the truth.
Callum: hi Ray! Are you still angry with me?
Ray :( silent)
Callum: ok! I am sorry! I should have told you the truth! Yes I intended to leave you because I felt that we are not supposed to live together. Moreover I noticed that we don't even talk as a couple. I know acting like is worthless, but I didn't think as a matured man. So I am sorry, will you stay angry?
Ray: I never complained, so you were not obliged to do that! I accepted everything and I came here with you. I left my country, my family, and my friends just because I trusted you.
Callum: yes true! That was a mistake I made and I regretted for that!
Ray: ok never mind! As Dr Glassman used to say we should forget the past and move on!
Callum: yes he used to say that to me as well.
Ray: yes! I am going to cook something now!
Callum: oh! Finally!
Ray: and never think that I am going to do that just because you told me the reason!
Callum: I have not said anything!
Ray: mmm! Ok!
I stayed with Callum for almost a month, then we decided to go back to Luxemburg. I had to carry on with everything I started.
Ray: tomorrow when I arrived, I will go to talk to Leo. I know he is angry with me to leave him in such a way.
Callum: but you had to! You can never marry someone and you are still married to another one!
Ray: oh come on! It is not that easy for him.
Callum: tell him everything you have!
Ray: oh my god! I am going to think.
Callum: I am going to talk to him if you want!
Ray: no please! Don't interfere! This concerns me.
Callum: ok! I will wait for what you are going to say.
Ray: good night Callum!
Callum: oh! Why?
Ray: I am sleepy!
Callum: ok! Good night!
The day after.
Ray: hi Dr Melendez!
Dr Melendez: oh Ray! Where have you been?
Ray: I know it I been a while, but I was with Callum.
Dr Melendez: ahh ok!
Ray: do you know where I can find Leo?
Dr Melendez: I don't know, but after the wedding he got mad!
Ray: oh really! I am going to find him no matter what!
Dr Melendez: ok!
Ray: thank you Dr!
Dr Melendez: never mind!
Ray: oh my god! Maybe he is still angry with me! Ahh what should I do? I think I have to go to his house! Yes!
After 10 minutes
Ray: oh why does not he open the door?
Leo: who is knocking?
Ray: it is me Ray!
Leo: what? What are you doing here?
Ray: I came to talk to you!
Leo: no I don't want to talk to you!
Ray: I know you are angry! Please let us talk!
Leo: mmm! Ok enter!
Ray: thanks!
Leo what do you want to say?
Ray: callum hided his death from me, I didn't know. I was like you.
Leo: ok I get it! why did you leave the party hall with him?
Ray: because I had to know the reason, and why he did that. So sorry!
Leo: what's next?
Ray: I decided to stay with him because he really helped me when I was in Netherlands.
Leo: ok you can leave now!
Ray: but why are talking like that Leo?
Leo: I accept your apology! Go now! I have to go now.
Ray: ok I am leaving!
At home.
Callum: how was it with you?
Ray: it was worse! He is angry even though he said that he accepted my apology but with a cold answer! I don't want him to hate me!
Callum! Ok never mind Ray! This is my fault and I am the one who will talk to him.
Ray: are you serious?
Callum: yes I am!
Ray: I don't think you can make it because he is angry with you the most.
Callum: I will take care of it.
Callum went to talk to Leo and that scared me because I had a bad feeling that said they would hurt each other.
Leo: what do you want?
Callum: I came to talk to you!
Leo: I don't want even to listen to your voice, so leave me!
Callum: come on! Be a civilized man and talk to me without getting mad!
Leo: ok! Give me what you have. You came to talk to me about Ray, and here my answer she doesn't mean anything to me from now on.
Callum: mmmm! Ok then why did you refuse to forgive her?
Leo: no i didn't!
Callum: I want you to know that it is not her fault, I am the one who left and I have my circumstances, so please stop blaming her!
Leo: you know I am angry with you because you took her and I am angry with her because she chose to go with you!
Callum: you will not gain anything if you stay angry. Ray considers you as a good guy, she appreciates what you did to her, and you were with her when I was absent. She got angry with me as well and I confessed that I made a huge mistake. I am really sorry Leo! So please forgive her and if you want to hate me I have no problem because you are right to get angry with me, it is unforgivable mistake!
Leo: I don't know why you did that but since Ray accepted your apology, that means you had an excuse. Tell Ray that I don't have any grudge on her and anytime she wants something, she will find me. I know she went through a lot of things and I cannot blame her for what she did.
Callum: yes that's true!
Ray: hi Leo!
Leo: you are here?
Ray: Callum sent me a missage and I came!
I heard everything you said Leo. Thank you so much!
Leo: you and Dr Glassman were the best people I knew in my life.
Ray: yes you are right!
Callum: can we go to eat now guys?
Ray: you think only about food Callum!
Callum: this how we can survive!
Leo: (laughs) he is right!
Ray: ok! We go to eat pizza!
Callum: oh no! I get sick of it Ray!
Ray: why? It is delicious!
Leo: we eat hamburger!
Callum; yes I agree! You are the only one who can understand my hunger!
Ray: so I am an extra person here!
Callum: no I will eat pizza so that you don't get mad!
Ray: ok I like that!
I spent beautiful years with Callum and my friend Leo. Dr Melendez helped me to finish my studies and I really made it. Now I am a famous doctor in Luxemburg hospital and made Callum proud of me and I forgot all the pain I passed through in my previous years. Dr Glassman gave me the power to move on even though in every single moment I remember him, Akkie, and my mom. I try my best to make people's life beautiful and to help them as much as I can especially kids who deserve a better life. And whatever you suffer, you will find the satisfaction one day.
