It was completely mind boggling that somehow I was able to go back to the place where we started. Or, I never actually went further and all of this is just my dream. But would I even think like that in a dream? It seems very weird, if someone would think like me out of nowhere. Somehow making it like a dream inside of a dream, or something is taking me back before the great annihilation unveils. It's much earlier than before, the food has not yet been served. But what's the meaning of this? How does it work, or rather, why me?
Standing in the room, prepared to see them die once again… Unable to escape the inevitable, the hardship of us existing. Looking at those lost souls, now still alive, expressions on their faces laughs from their throats, and throttle in their legs. More power within them, at least more than that of the dead. Once again, all in a circle, the circle of life and death. Going in an infinite loop of existence and not existence.
The whole operation started the same, two people changed their clothing, the cells once again opened. People started flooding out, but this time. There were fewer people. At least on our floor, I don't know about others. But this floor was surely even more empty before. Everything then went as before, we left the place, rushed out, the general created another spell. I didn't shout this time.
"This is… In the end, Hayden, I am sorry that we weren't able to help you escape… I am so sorry…" Estel said while crying and looking at the droplet of blood that was slowly falling to the grass. Everything went dark, the sad souls themselves.
"I want to go home…" Marcus was repeating under his nose repeatedly, unable to take off his gaze from it. A red shine everywhere, all people around still alive. Not even scared of death besides those young. I, saw them die, I saw them suffer. I started running to the hall of memories, the place where we came from. This is the moment when all of my own sufferings has started. The droplet was falling slower and slower with each second. I was running faster and faster, but… It was pointless, I didn't die back then as well… But I got back. What do I do…
"Create a shield under!" I screamed from already far away, a lot further. They heard me, but it was already too late. They were destroyed, spikes coming from down the ground, impaling them, a forest of people impaled by dark spikes. All in the air right under clouds, no place to move around them. Everything in front of me was dark, the sky was dark, the light itself was dark. Then, the spikes went down. All men fell on the ground hitting it so hard that just blood pulps were on the ground, mixed with the dark sand. Everything, just dark.
"Oh, as I expected. You are the one to survive." The general screamed from the walls. He then disappeared, just a black fog was left behind him as everything, all the colors went back to normal. I looked behind me, I wanted to run further, but he was there. In front of me, almost a 3 meter giant standing in front of me. He was a human far larger than anyone I've ever seen, up close. A scar on his face. "Well, you were someone sent here from the very far kingdom of Laylia, we had someone else from there already. But your description was far more intriguing than that other person. You are a level zero huh? F*cking weakling. What are you gonna do when I stand right in front of you now? Punch me with your fist? Run? That one is out of options though. So, what are you gonna do? Mr. Moonshine." He then looked at me with crossed hands on his chest. Somehow seemed more interested rather than wanting to kill me.
"Don't, call me that. I am not a moonshine, I don't want to be one of those insane people. They rejected me because me being weak. I won't do anything now, but I dare you to let me live. I will take that smile away from my face." The man looked at me with big eyes, he started laughing loudly, very loud. It then stopped in a short instance, he looked at me very seriously. His hand imbued with a dark, he punched through my heart. The pain, there was no pain, it just killed me before I could even know what pain is. Forgetting what I am, forever…
------------------------------
Once again, the third time. I woke up here. In my cell, in the place where I left just now. Everyone was still alive, but now. I knew something more than before. To leave this place… I have to do something myself, I can't let someone do everything for me, I would be useless. I can't be useless if I want to leave, at least that is what I think I need to do… Everything went as always, the food came, guards were taken out, one of them came with several people to prepare to create the large mirror.
"I want to go down this time, I need a weapon though." When I said those words the man that was the guard now got surprised. He looked at me puzzled but with my assured look, he quickly understood and just smiled a little bit. He didn't need anything more.
"I see it, I will give you the job. But if you fail… We all fail, and you know that. Don't let us down." His mature voice quickly exclaimed while he started stripping down. He had his clothes in his hands therefore it wasn't a problem for him to change, I wore the clothes that were given to me quickly.
"Don't worry, Estel can you slash one of the iron bars for me. It will be a good dagger." The elf didn't waste a single second, he slashed one of the bars in an instant making a dagger or a rather small pole that will be useful for me. "Believe in me." It's not like I didn't see them die already, I've seen them die three times. All of those times, I have regained my memory while somehow coming back to this place. Or is it another timeline? But that would mean all of them are the same, they would also do the same…
I met with the second person, we both had a hat protecting our faces from being seen by other guards. All levels under us have more people, but not the ones here. Till level ten there are only 2 guards on each level. We then slowly descended right after we screamed to the sky, the stairs went up and we descended. Slowly appearing on the lower level. The guards were surprised as we came close to them, but they did not expect us to stab them right up the gut, the pole of mine had a hole inside, blood was pouring down on the ground and slowly coming to the edge of the hole, almost falling and making the guards notice them. But someone threw a shirt under our feet and in a short motion, we put it there, closing the way for the blood. And therefore, saving me from dying. We opened all the cages slowly one by one with the keys from the guards and took one more group of two to accompany us later. Now there are still two people on the floors under us so it's not an issue.
We descended one more time, this time when they approached us, we choked them to death. Not scathing the clothes with blood, no suspicions. And so it went all the way down to level 30. Then, there were only four guards per ring, but all the ones under us. Were around 8 people. We had over 20 people prepared to go down with no blood on them, clear and prepared to go further. Prepared to die or do anything for the cause. Now we went down, eight people went down, all the guards on those levels seemed suspicious from the get go. They thought that it would be weird for eight guards to come down without saying anything before.
We all then came to a close, we looked at each other. eight persons looking into their eyes.
"What are you doing here?" One of the eight people asked not knowing exactly why we all are here. They all had faces, poker faces, showing no emotion, no one was sure.
"We came here to hand all of you a new command from the general."
"Oh, is that so? I was scared there for a little bit. Is that for all of us?"
"Yeah." All of us then approached them… These fools, little did they know.
"Yeah, my ass. We never say it this way. Impostors!" The same person screamed and I got impaled, all of us got impaled… And so it ends.
------------------------------
It ends right where it starts. On the 29th floor once again, with that same faces.
