Chapter 11

Both just stared at each other while Jungsik tried to find another excuse in the back of his mind only to realize something, what's the use of finding excuses now? Shouldn't it be more better to just tell her the truth that he saw her singing at the cafe? What's there to hide anyway? It's not like he stalked her, he just happened to see her there and it's not like she'll kill him if he say he saw her singing.

"Well, actually, I... I saw you si--"

"JANGMIYAAAAAA !! SURPRISE !"

He could've already said it if it was not for a short black haired girl who suddenly flung opened the door yelling out the name before she ran inside the room towards Jangmi, throwing herself to her for a tight hug.

"I missed you so much," the black haired finally let go of her and that's when she realized someone else's presence in the room beside them only after she turned her head, "Uh? Jungsik? Aren't you Jungsik?" she paused when she saw him.

Jungsik tilted his head when the black haired called his name and took a better look again.

"M-Minseo?"

Jangmi just looked at them when Jungsik said the name, "Wait. Do you know each other?"

"Yes of course. He was in the same academy as me 2 years back in US."

He finally recognized her clearly now that Minseo reminded about it. They did meet at same academy he used to go while he was in US before moving back to Korea. But her appearance did seem a bit different from how he saw her last time. Maybe because she has black and short hair now? She used to have long hair, dyed with silver colour when he saw her before. Maybe that's why he couldn't recognize her at the first glance.

"But what are you doing here in my Jangmu's shop? Do you know each other too? Woah... is this really what people call coincidence?"

My Jangmu? A nickname? They must be really close to each other to even use nicknames like this.

That's what he thought when he heard the nickname.

Would it be wrong to wish for a day to come where they can be close enough to use nicknames for each other? Even if they can't be closer enough, he wished they could be casual friends or, at least, talk casually without using the formalities? He wished, may be just a wishful thinking, and he knew it's just a wish and it may end up as only a wish forever. But if anything, only time can help him and he believes in time.

"Minseo-ya, he's my client and he's here to discuss about his wedding. I'm his wedding designer."

Jungsik heard her saying about his wedding and she didn't even hesitate to call herself his wedding designer. Why would she even hesitate though? It's true that she is the wedding designer. and the wedding is... his.

Is it too late? Will it be wrong to be desperate now? And it must be only him who wants to get closer to her, right?

"What? Seriously? Are you really getting marry Jungsik? Have you ever gone on a date yet? You were so into studies back then that you were not even interested in dating. Compare to what you used to be, never thought the news I get about you will be about your wedding," Minseo said and took one of the chair beside Jangmi as her seat. "So, how's the girl? She must be pretty, right? Where did you meet her first? Since when did you start dating her that you even decided to marry her?"

"Date? But he said he haven't meet his fiance yet," Jangmi answered instead but gasped at her own words after realization, "sorry. I shouldn't have said it."

"It's fine, Kim Jangmi-ssi. I don't really mind. It's true anyway," Jungsik just smiled. He

"Woah seriously Jungsik?!" Minseo shook her head in disbelief, "so, it's an arranged marriage?"

"Yeah," Jungsik just nodded, "but how did you two guys know each other. You too look really closed to each other," he tried to change the topic.

"Close? We are soulmates! Right?" Minseo nudged Jangmi who nodded with a smile, "we're best friends since we were in kindergarten and--"

"But she left me here alone by going to states," Jangmi cut the other off, crossing her arms with a huff and pout.

"Aww! My Jangmu! I'm really sorry ok? But we always talk everyday on phone, right? Do you miss me that much, hmm?" Minseo pinched the other's cheek who was trying so hard to give her a glare but failed and end up bursting out a wide smile together.

The two were in their own world that they even forgot there's someone sitting in their front, watching the whole scene quietly.

"Uh! Choi Jungsik-ssi, we're really sorry," Jangmi smiled awkwardly at him when she realized and turned to her best friend. "Minseo-ya, sorry but can you go out for some time?" she whispered.

"Huh? Jangmu, do you know I literally came here first only to meet you right from the airport instead of going home and you're telling me to go out?"

"Minseo-ya, we have to discuss something about the work. I'll come to your house after this and we can talk later. Is that alright?" she tried to persuade her pouting best friend.

"Uh, It's okay actually. We can meet again and talk about it later. I'll get going now," Jungsik said as he got up from his seat. He can just let them enjoy together since they seemed to miss each other, and he has to go for his work anyway, which he literally ditched.

"I'm really sorry Choi Jungsik-ssi."

He smiled when she apologized, "No. It's fine. I have to go for work anyway. We'll meet again next time."

"Ok. Goodbye Jungsik! Thank you!"

He chuckled when Minseo yelled out when he came out from the room. He heard them giggling after he left the room.

"They're indeed really closed to each other," he took a last glance before leaving the shop.

"Jungsik? You're finally here! Finally! I would've turn into a dead meat by now if you didn't come, seriously," Hosung rushed towards him just when he entered the main entrance. "Your father has been throwing tantrums to every staffs since he came here. Looks like he's really angry. He's waiting for you in your room. He almost eat me up when I told him about the meeting. I knew this would happen. You shouldn't have cancel or postpone the meeting."

"I'll talk to him, don't worry," he nodded with a sigh patting his assistant's shoulder before walking inside the elevator while who followed him.

"But why did you want to postpone the meeting by the way? I mean, was there really an emergency or something important thing you need to do right away? You could've just ask me to do it for you if there's any case." There was silence inside the elevator until Hosung broke it with his questions.

Jungsik stayed silent, trying to figure out the answer which he couldn't find himself, asking himself why did he even do such things.

"I don't know either."

That's what he answered before he walked out of the elevator when the door got open, leaving the other tilt his head to his answer, watching him enter his room.
