Chapter 10

Jungsik was on his way back home from his work but he stopped the driver in front of the flower shop, the place where he presumed a significant someone would be there. He didn't even know why he felt like stopping there if he's just going to sit inside the car and stared at the shop, he didn't even get down from his car, neither asked his driver to start driving.

"Jungsik-ssi? What's wrong? Do you want to buy anything from here?"

He sure heard his driver turning his head back to ask him but he just sit still, silently, with his eyes fixed at the transparent glass of the front intrance of the flower shop, searching for someone whom he wished to see.

Even a short glimpse would've been fine.

He would've still stare at the shop if it was't for his phone ringing from his pocket but only to gasp at the name on his phone screen. It was her.

"Did she, perhaps, see me here?" he panicked as he murmured and took a glance at the shop once again and cleared his throat before answering the call, "Hello?"

"Hello. Choi Jungsik-ssi. Uh, I had something to ask you about--"

"Ok. Let's meet. I'll come."

She was cut off by an exciting yet calm voice.

"What? No. wait... I just want to--- hello? Jungsik-ssi? Hello?" she checked her phone again only to find Jungsik already hung up the call. "Woah, seriously? What was that just now? Was he that busy to hung up that quick? I couldn't even finish my word."

She huffed, keeping her phone on the table beside her before bending down to pick up a flower that fell on the ground and just then, the shop door flung opened.

"Please welcome. May I-- huh? Choi Jungsik-ssi? How come you are here?" she looked too shocked and surprised to see him.

"I said I'll come right?" Jungsik smiled.

"Yeah? But not this fast? I mean... it's not even past a min since we talked. Did you fly here or something? It's like you teleported?"

Jungsik chuckled a bit at how the other tilted her head with her now widen eyes and he would gladly call it a cute gesture, because of course her surprised look was cute.

But he cleared his throat, trying to find an excuse, because he can't just say he was already right in front of her shop, "Uh, I was already on my way to office and I... I almost reach your place too... so... I thought I can just stop by and talk, because... I.. I can't grasp anything if you say on phone so..." he just hoped it works and it did.

"But wouldn't you be late for work if we talk now? If so, then I don't have any problem if you go, Choi Jungsik-ssi. We can just talk later. It's not that importa--".

"I don't really have much work today," he said before she could finish her word. He was afraid he might have to leave if she continue after coming all the way here.

"Ah, Is that so? Then... we can--"

"Can we go somewhere and talk... I mean we'll discuss somewhere else. Like, uh... because people might come here in between."

"Ah, for that, my sister is not here. So I can't go leaving the shop. If you don't mind, we can just go upstairs."

"I'm alright with that. So, uh... you can go first. I'll come in one minute."

"Okay. Then, I'll go up first."

After he make sure she went up, he immediately took out his phone to call his assistant, "Hosung Hyung, can you please cancel today's meeting?"

"What? Why? But that meeting is really important and you know that, Jungsik-ah. Did anything happen to you or is there something wrong that you want to cancel it?"

"It's not like that Hyung. Or... can you just postpone it to evening or tomorrow?"

"Jungsik-ah, you already know how important this meeting is and above all, Mr. Choi will definitely not like this. It was already been really hard to convince Mr. Park for this meeting and you--"

He quickly hung up the call right away without even waiting for Hosung finish his word and walked upstairs after putting his phone back inside his pocket.

The door was already kept opened, but he still knocked the door when he saw her standing by her table while taking out some papers from a file book.

"Oh? You're here Choi Jungsik-ssi? Please get in and have a seat."

He nodded when Jangmi welcomed him in her small office and took his seat on a chair in front of the table while his eyes roamed around the white painted walls with some wooden sculptures placing on a rack by the corner.

She sat down on the chair next to his and tried to show him something from her laptop but found him gazing at the sculptures.

"That's beautiful. From where did you buy them?" he asked, eyes still on the sculptures.

He doesn't really look like it but he's very much fond of arts that are unique and beautiful and he usually collects such arts so he's quite interested when he saw those sculptures.

"That? Uh, I... didn't buy them from anywhere. Actually, I-I made them," she just simply grinned while saying it.

"What? You made them? Really?"

She's not kidding, is she?

"Yeah. I just do such stuffs when I get bored. Hehe," she grinned again, her hand tucking her hair behind her ear.

"Can I take a look?"

"Yeah. Of course," she looked happy when he got up to go near the rack and look at the wooden sculpture she made herself.

And Jungsik wouldn't lie, the sculpture was just beautiful. He've seen such many arts before, so he could tell it right away when he took a closer look, every inch of how smoothly it's crafted, it's something a real professional artist would do. And he couldn't believe she said it's something she do when she's bored.

"This is just, really beautiful," he said, eyes still on the sculpture.

"Do you think so? It's not really that good but... thank you."

He turned but never thought he would see the slight pink tinted over her cheeks. Maybe she's someone who likes to get compliments for her works?

But now that he think about it, he've seen so many talents she has in such a short period of time. Everytime he meet her, he always end up finding more mysterious things about her.

He couldn't help but wonder just how many mysteries she might be hiding behind her calm simple innocent look?

"But are you serious? Now tell me what else is there that you can't do?" he asked without thinking much, all those questions were flooding up his mind so it just slipped out.

"Huh? What do you mean? Things that I can't do?"

"I mean... you can draw so perfectly, you can design whatever it is in the most beautiful ways and your ideas are just perfect, you can play guitar, you can sing,... and now... you can make such stuffs too?"

She didn't move, just blinked her eyes after hearing his words.

"Wait, how do you know I can sing and play guitar?"

"Huh?" he froze.

What have he done?

Both of them didn't even move, with her confused yet curious eyes still staring at him waiting for his answer.
