Sarcastic? Me? Never.

During lunch, Jess noticed Peter was staring over at Liz while talking with Ned about not staring at her just in case it started to get weird. Jess just shook her head before going back to drawing since she enjoyed doing a lot though honestly didn't see Liz's appeal, to be honest. Something she wouldn't ever ask know it would just be something she didn't need to bother herself with since she wouldn't really care anyway.

"What are you both planning on doing after school anyway," asked Jess to talk and listen to anything else outside of this conversation.

Peter and Ned both looked over at Jess, "Well, I'm going to be going to Peter's later to finish up the Lego Death Star I got."

"Nice, I'm going to be working at the video store tonight. It's nice to watch movies at the same time working on homework. I'll like to see it when it's finished," Jess said she like Star Wars and the Ninja Turtles.

Of course, she didn't care for the collectibles or anything like that though she did, however, have the Ultimate History of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles book along with the copy of the first comic.

"Sounds like a cool job Jessie, and definitely will show you the model when it's done," Peter said, smiling at her. Honestly, he normally couldn't talk with girls.

Peter happened to be friendly but shy and awkward about social interaction with others, especially towards girls. This isn't just the only problem the young male has since identity is rarely considered. Coupled with an inferiority complex meaning, he had self-esteem problems and self-doubting himself about whether he was doing the right thing. Regardless if he knows this or not, he has a fear of woman, not to say well how come he likes Liz and Jess if he has this "fear of woman." Some anti-social and lack of self-esteem, whether them being male or female, aren't confident about being in a relationship of the opposite sex. In fear of their crush rejecting them or whatever their reasons, maybe it's clear Peter has this, probably unaware of himself having it.

Not everyone knows their fears, especially when it's never an obvious one like others, for example, someone who has a fear of snakes, spiders, large bodies of water, to name a few. Well, how is Peter anti-social when he has two friends? Honestly, everyone is different when it comes to anti-social behavior. You can have all of the world's friends, but people having this type of behavior feel out of place. Not feeling like they belong with the friends they have been out of the loop if you will not everything is straightforward. Having a connection with the friends you have is something everyone wants, especially when it comes to relationships. Along with that, he tends to be accident-prone, with agonizing over his choices, always attempting to do right, he is nonetheless viewed with suspicion by the authorities.

Who seem unsure as to whether he is a helpful vigilante or a clever criminal. The news doesn't help tell New York; he was just their help and did not cause mischief and chaos. Only to prevent it from happening, but it seemed no matter how hard Peter would do, nothing seemed to be good enough for them. Always been plighted as misunderstood about his role in both being Spider-Man and Peter Parker. Being a teen superhero was just a list of reasons why things would be difficult to involve his friends in the middle of his secret life. Jess and Ned were his best friends, and wouldn't want them to be burdened with keeping this secret too. Let alone putting his Aunt May through being worried about him sneaking out at night, especially after Uncle Ben.

It would always require responsibility with this power, especially when getting others involved with this other part of his life. Knowing bad guys would want to harm those close to him, and he couldn't bring himself to take a chance like this with his friends or aunt. Of course, it's not fair, but he had to make a difficult choice and would prefer it if they were out of harm's way than sticking them in the middle. Life has always been complicated; regardless of who you are or what you do in life, there will always be choices we make or do. Ending up being tough and hard in the end, no matter the cost or what happens. Peter ended up staring into Jess's eyes without realizing it before looking down at his food, starting to eat again. Jess went back to drawing the character which happened to Donatello from the Ninja Turtles, brushing her hair behind her ear.

"What are you drawing there, Jessie," asked Peter, curious about what his friend was working on?

Jess had finished up what she was drawing before signing her name to it, with it being in her art book handing it to him.

"It's a, it's from the 2012 animated series," she explained, showing him the drawing smiling at him.

Peter and Ned looked over at the artwork, thinking Jess was amazing with a pencil and paper; of course, she would reference pictures from online to draw them.

Though it came down to comic books and tmnt characters, she drew them like she had been drawing the characters her whole life.

"Jess, you seriously are talented when it comes to stuff like this. I mean, I don't know how you can do this," Peter complimented her before handing her book back.

Ned nodded in agreement, "Yeah, you can tell it's not traced either. I mean, the picture is tiny compared to yours. Plus, you have it all shaded in areas giving it more of a 3D look, you know."

Jess felt flattered. They were liking her artwork for the things she loved to think about how today would be going. Of course, she had work tonight knowing about the web-crawler from YouTube since she felt like he or she was trying to make a difference.

"Thanks, guys. I do appreciate it, plus I plan to become a journalist or something like that for college. I'm already in the school newspaper, and I get to help out with the yearbook," Jess explained to them, knowing this was going to be a good day.

Peter could get lost in her brown eyes if he had the chance. She was an interesting girl who wasn't scared of being herself or hanging around the people she felt comfortable with regardless of gender. He genuinely cared about her but didn't want to put her through what does daily at the Stark Internship. Which happened to do with him being Spider-Man, and he made a vow the night he had lost his uncle never to get others involved with this secret life. Sighing lightly before hearing the bell ring heading to his next class being history, not sure what to think about all this. Homecoming, coming up, he didn't know if he should ask his best friend or his crush? He didn't want to ask Ned about it since he would go by himself gathering up in his things heading to class. Jess wanted to ask her best friend Peter, to the dance though her mother told her to let the guy ask her out to the dance. She didn't see the appeal in just waiting on someone to ask her out to the dance regardless of who they are, to be honest.

Her mother, Rachel, had always been traditional that way, which is how her parents ended up together. Her parents happened to be high school sweethearts, though not during their sophomore year; it was their junior year. Thinking it was interesting even after high school, they made time to talk with each other despite going to different colleges. She felt like it would be different with her best friend Peter since he tended to be awkward and nervous when it came down to things like this. Finding it to be adorable in his own way, though, she kept it to herself mostly because she didn't want to make things weird between them. Heading to her class being science, knowing Ned and Peter would be busy with that Star Wars Lego model Death Star. Working at the video store, some people were shocked that there were still stored like this open since there was no Netflix and Hulu. It helped get money saved back for her to go to college since she wanted to become a journalist. Heading for the city to work at the Daily Bugle in Flat Iron, knowing it happened to be her dream to work with a well-known newspaper firm.

The last bell rang out for school had ended for the kids with them filing out of there without hesitation. Peter made it out of there first, jumping over the school fence, taking off something to eat before dressing into the Spider-Man costume Mr. Stark made for him. Set off for Delmar's Deli-Grocery to get his usual sandwich and candies he liked to eat all the time. Thinking about the problems he has with everything going on in school right now, having a crush on two girls at his school. Once Peter got his meal rushing into an alley, changing quickly into his Spider-Man costume, webbing his backpack to a garbage bin. Before swinging off throughout the city looking for criminal activity only, there were times where he was causing it without knowing or realizing it.

He ended up taking a seat on a fire escape of a random apartment building eating his sandwich while he left a voicemail about his day checking in. Feeling like he should be doing more with his life of being Spider-Man at the same feeling like he was being underappreciated. Wondering if he should go swing by where Jess worked to see how she was doing or what she was up to before remembering he had to see Ned at his place. Making his way back home, he noticed something a robbery. It looked like thinking something good finally. Busting through the doors, he used his web-shooters to stop the guys from using these strange weapons.

"Wow, you guys are the Avengers," Peter said sarcastically while dodging them at the same time taking them down.

One of the criminals took the anti-gravity gun aiming it at Peter while using it, thinking it was strange.

"This feels so weird," Peter said while he was being slammed on the ceiling, floor, and walls, "I'm starting to think you're not the Avengers."

The weapon got overloaded upon it getting webbed up, causing it to slice through building and glass, striking the deli-grocery. They escaped with the police sirens blasting in the distance with Peter rushing over, saving Mr. Delmar and his cat. Checking the time, sighing lightly, taking off for his apartment. Once he made it back, he noticed Jess was walking back to her place next to his apartment. He thought she was all in all an amazing girl who'd been there for him since the 6th grade, not even realizing he liked her before he started liking girls. It was more of a conflict of interest since there was another girl Liz Toomes who happened to be smart and really pretty.

Carefully opening his bedroom window, crawling on the ceiling, closing the window with his foot, unaware of Ned sitting on his bed. Taking off his mask, tossing it somewhere in his room, going over to the door, webbing it carefully, closing it, leaving it cracked. Before landing down on the floor, carefully closing the rest of the way, sighing of relief turning around seeing a shocked Ned sitting there. Dropping his Lego Death Star with it breaking and crashing on the floor with Aunt May wondering what the noise was.

"Duh, nothing, nothing," Peter called back stuttering.

Ned getting up off the bed, "You're the Spider-Man from YouTube."

Peter taking off the suit, trying to lie, "You were on the ceiling."

"No, I wasn't Ned. What are you doing in my room," Peter asked him, grabbing one of his shirts sitting on the back of his chair.

Ned, still in shock, answered him, "You're Aunt, let me in you said you would finish the Death Star."

"Yeah, but that doesn't mean you can just come into my room," Peter said before hearing the door open with May walking in.

Telling the boys the turkey meatloaf was a disaster and decided to take them out for Thai instead. Ned wanted to, but Peter told May he couldn't only tell Peter to put on some clothes. Closing the door, Ned was blown away because May didn't know about Peter's secret, which he wouldn't do to her.

"She doesn't know?!" asked Ned in shock by tonight's turn of events taking place.

Peter put on his long sleeve shirt and jeans, "Nobody knows about this, Ned, just keep this a secret, please."

"I'm going to level with you. I don't think I can keep this a secret. This is the greatest thing ever to happen," Ned said to him with excitement.

Peter shook his head in disagreement, "Ned, I can't do this to Aunt May right now since she's been through enough, please."

Guiding Ned over to the door, "Wait, how do you do this and the Stark Internship?"

Ned being confused about how this worked for Peter, "This is the Stark Internship."

Peter answered him with things getting all cleared up as he closed the door leaning against covering up his eyes. Sighing roughly before looking for his sneakers to put them on, turning his head over to the window. Noticing Jess had her curtains open, seeing her sitting on her bed, working hard on her homework, wearing her reading glasses. Deep in thought about whatever she was working on at present, he heard Aunt May call out to him before he slipped his shoes. Knowing things would be strange if he ever did ask Jess out or ask to the dance.

Aunt May and Uncle Ben secretly knew Peter had been crushing on his best friend Jessica Atkins since the 6th-grade. Of course, Ben would always tease the two about it, May told him to lay off since it was cute them being around each other. May had noticed the door to his room cracked slightly, pushing it open to see Peter was staring out the window looking at Jess studying. She found it cute knowing Peter had a schoolboy crush on his best friend and didn't want to ruin it, but she would wish he would tell her.

Knocking on the door gently to get his attention, "Hey, you ready to go?"

Peter's eyes quickly shifted from the window to see his aunt standing in the door with him nodding before heading out of the room towards the back door.
