Talk

"I can't believe..I just..did that" I was shaking as the adrenaline coursed through my veins my heart beating so fast and pounding so hard that it felt as if it was going to break through my chest.

"Are you gonna be okay later?" he asks, concerned. I just stared at him and smile weirdly.

He took a big sigh, "..Lou"

"Hey, I'm going to be fine. Let's go, yeah?"

"..Fine" he sighed in defeat.

We went at an arcade in a three-story mall. The lobby was a very open and friendly environment. I started to notice familiar feelings. The sounds coming from all the people, and of course, seeing all the children enjoying themselves as they created memories playing arcades games. Aaron began scrolling through tons of games to find what catches his eyes the most. I smiled when I saw him with his eyes beaming like a 10 year old kid.

He then sits on a chair so I went up sitting next to him. He's now playing a game called "Tekken 7". A fighting game with stunning story-driven cinematic battles and intense duels that can be enjoyed with friends.

"Wanna play?" he grins.

"No,thank you. I'll just watch" politely declining his offer to which he pouts.

"..What?Afraid you'll lose?"

Oh no, he didn't. I glared at him, "So that's how you wanna set things, huh."

"Okay, I'll play.." I said as he smiles at me.

"But don't cry when you lose, okay?"

"As if"

I know I sounded like I know lots of things about games...but I was just trying to be confident. In the end, it was my loss.

"Whose gonna cry now?" I just glared at him and rolled my eyes.

"One more time"

"You don't like losing, huh? hahaha sure" he chuckled.

"I think the machine's broken..Yup, the machine's broken.." I said after losing 8 times in a row. He's just so good, how does he do that?

"Pfft..Okay, let's go with that" laughing.

He looks at his watch and then smiles at me.

"We still got some time, let me take you somewhere" as he take my hand, going outside the arcade and the mall.

He took me to the parking lot where his car was park. A black Chevrolet Blazer.

"Are you going to take me somewhere...and kill me?" I blurted, uneasy.

"What? No! Just because I'm dying doesn't mean you're dying too, Lou" he laughed. We got in the car and I put on my seatbelt, "So..where are we going?"

"You'll see" as he put the key into the ignition, the start of the engine roared like a lion just made me more anxious to get to my destination. I instantly knew that today would be a day that I would always remember and never forget.

It took us 2 hours to arrive at our destination and I slept through the whole journey.

"..ou..Lou.." i hear a voice calling out to me.

"Louella!" I jumped right out the chair as Aaron screamed through my ear. "What the heck, Aaron?!" I said, pissed. My ear was hurting but he was just laughing his ass out.

"We're here"

I got outside the car and my eyes were filled with the weaving of beautiful green grass and the bright sunshine warms the dark fertile soil. The wind brush through my hair as I hear birds chirping.

"Not yet" Aaron said as he walks forward, "Follow me"

I followed him as we went between trees and grass. Though the path is dark, cast into shadow by the tall mossy pines on either side, the sun must be brilliant beyond it. Every tree glows brightly virescent just at the edges of the trunks, a biological halo of sorts that brings a soothing happiness I've been missing these past few years. I was amazed by what I saw. A little garden-like with several little trees around it. We sat next to a tree, The tree stood out from the rest of the landscape, bathed in a bright angelic light. The sky, navy blue, gave the scene a fairytale quality. Everything was in awe of its beauty, even the flowers sang in admiration.

"So..why are we here?" I asked, picking out leaves from the ground.

"We're here to relax..To let the negativity flowing through our body out. You know, when I don't feel like myself, I go here.."

"At what times do you not feel like yourself" he stared for a while then decided not to answer my question.

"You can come here anytime you want, Lou"

"With you?"

"You can.."

"Then..Can we come here again next time..?"

he smiles and said; "Sure" as the wind blows softly through our skin while several leaves fly to the sky to explore different places.

"..Are you always gonna stay like this?" I've known him for a while but I don't really know him, or so I thought I did.

"Like what?"

"You being secretive and mysterious, I mean.. I'm not saying it's a bad thing..Its just..I don't know, you know most of my past yet I know nothing about you...except that you're.."

"..dying?" He cuts me off to finish what I was about to say. I couldn't even say it while he says it casually. Like he accepts the fact that he's dying.

"Lou..Some things..are better left unknown" he plays with his fingers, "Because it will be hard to forget those things when it's gone..And you can't do anything about it, no one can.." he mumbles.

"..But you remember moments..You want to know more about a certain person to remember what their favorite dish is, if they hate strawberry or if they have some weird feet fetish something"

"And if they leave? It will be hard to forget someone you're attached to, Lou. 'Cause every little thing reminds you of them, making it even harder to forget them. Leaving you alone thinking why they've left.."

"People are bound to leave, Aaron..We can't choose who stays and who goes. But me? I'll stay with you until the end.."

"And so while you continue to live..Take risks and don't worry about things that will never happen.." I continue. I grab his hands which left him by surprise. "Live, Aaron.." I grabbed tightly with his chin down. He was quiet for a few seconds when he suddenly rest his head in my shoulders, still our hands together.

He sniffs and I realized he was crying. "..Aaron?" I began panicking for making him cry but he held my hands tighter, "You're really amazing, Lou..Truly"

"I can't find what part of me is amazing..You must be seeing things, Aaron" I chuckled.

"You're missing out.." we both laughed and it went quiet immediately.

"Can we stay like this a little longer?" he asked, my shoulder was getting tired. His head was kinda heavy but I figured it's okay. He doesn't want me to see him crying so I let him be.

"Hmm" I responded.

I watched leaves fall from trees as birds pass through the sky, beautiful scene as ever. Aaron removes his head from my shoulder and got up. "Shall we go home?"

"Sure"
