Merione

Aurora's P.O.V.

I was currently kneeling next to the couch where King Remus was currently reclining with his female.

I never felt so ashamed, I have never been disrespected in my whole life, but sitting here was worse than getting my hairs taken care of by those stupid guards outside after residence...or more like a prison.

I was seriously considering stupid decision of coming here, and getting disrespected by King Remus's fiancé, as she made fun of my mask, making me dip my head further towards my legs, she tried to touch it once but King Remus had caught her hand as if touching me would burn her.

If only it could burn her, I would have been beyond happy.

Though I still don't understand how they could marry each other, when they are clearly not each other's mate, their towki is perfectly covered inside their clothing and its not even slightly erect or glowing, and from what I have heard, their Towki glow when they get touched by their soulmate, throughout their life.

According to what I heard in those stupid classes, they have a soulmate, a genetic match, and when they come in contact with them, they release there pheromone hormones, making their Towki glow and they feel intense attraction, due to their hormones, and they connect themselves, genetically by drinking a sweet liquid that their respective soulmate's Towki release. Its said that the level of love and pleasure you have with your mate is unattainable, with other beings. The Lovianians take their soulmate bond really seriously.

A kick to my head brought me out of my reverie, as I jerk forward in surprise, as I felt my head wince slightly.

"Rhea?! what the fuck?"

I heard King Remus growl at his fiancé causing her to whine.

"But merione, she wasn't paying attention to me."

I heard her whine, as she called King Remus something in Lovianeres language.

Fury like none other boiled inside me, as I wanted to get my hands on some of those dagger shaped blades, with sharp edges, I wanted to carve all the colourful adjectives that I could remember, just the way those guards did in the absence of Skye, whenever I would walk with my head held up, with their whips, though they never carved words, in fear of getting caught by Skye, they would just lie about my wounds as practice wounds.

This made me chuckle inwardly,

If not for my sweet brother I would never-

"Rhea, please refrain from doing so, we don't harm our pets."

I was shocked to hear the icy cold voice of King Rowan piercing through the room, his voice left no room for argument, and I heard Rhea's whining stop as she murmured something in apology in Lovianeres, as an uncomfortable silence enveloped us, but it was comfortable enough for me.

After sometime, King Kieran broke the silence, as he said something in his usual chirpy voice, and I heard the pets stand up, making me drop my act as I too stoop up graciously, as I saw the Kings watching my movements like a hawk, as I bowed graciously, I saw the suspicion increase twice fold in King Magnus's eyes, but right now, I didn't care about them right now, I kept my chin high, just the way I was taught, years ago, my right foot before my left, my whole weight on my right, my right hand folded next to my stomach, I saw Rhea watching me in surprise, her eyes wide, but it soon turned to disgust as she realised she had my attention, I saw King Kieran watching me with a mixture of aww and surprise in his fiery red eyes, while King Alistair was watching me with aww and lust filled eyes and I cringed as I saw his gills flare in lust, King Remus was watching me emotionlessly but his eyes shined in pride and so did King Rowan's.

But I paid no heed to them or their pets shocked expressions as I started making my way back to my room, as I saw my fellow colleagues making their way outside in the garden while still watching me with a mixture of aww and shock as I confidently and graciously made my way towards the room, still feeling The King's burning stare on my back.

Magnus's P.O.V.

Remus has always been a man of few words specially after our merione's death. I still remember the day we came to know about her existence.

I was sitting in my office, located in the library, as usual, I had the highest IQ among my brothers, I lacked in fighting, and that was the main reason why I looked over the scientific development department of Lovian, currently I was preparing a treatment that would allow a Lovianian's body to reach its full strength, I was lost in my work when the sound of my brother yelling jolted me and it took me a moment to realise that he was inside my head.

Me and my brothers were born from the same womb, with a few seconds time difference, so we all were able to tune into each other's mind, by finding the correct frequency, but we could only speak a word or two, and thus we decided that we will use it in life and death situation.

I could hear my brother's faint yells in the back of my mind making me shuffle out of my seat and rush out of the library to the hall, only to find that all my brothers except Remus were there, looking frantic, just like me. Alistair's clothes were dishelved, his shirt buttoned, and I rolled my eyes at his play boy antics, Kieran was wearing his cape along with his suit, which told me that he just came from a meeting and Rowan being Rowan, for looking at us calculatingly, seconds after calming himself.

"Remus"

We all whispered together, Rowan then turned towards me with hope and determination, making me nod my head at him, as I took out my controller from the pocket and tracked, my brother, I was super worried of my brother, I quickly activated the tracker installed inside him, from the corner of my eyes I saw Alistair slump on the couch and Kieran came by my side as Rowan stood in front of me, expectantly,

Suddenly my controller gave a beep making my eyes widen, this was an extreme emergency beep, it was from the port 14, where humans landed from Earth, Remus was pressing the extreme emergency beep,

I saw red.

How dare those filthy humans.

First they ruin their planet and then try ruining ours in the name of curiosity and now when we were good enough to negotiate, they attack on us in our planet,

How stupid can they be?!

In a second my Sabre was out in my left hand as I along my brothers rushed out, stripping our clothes, and opened the vacuum dome, as I saw Rowan take out his Long sword and order his Brigadier general to take order the black squad army to reach port 14, from the corner of my eyes, I saw Alistair, take out his Falchion and Kieran had a fierce look on his face, with two Rapiers in both of his hand, as soon as we were out in the chilly water, our bodies started to shift as I felt my limbs join each other on their own accord, I felt my skin tearing itself and joining my limbs, making me howl in pain, as my bones bended themselves, I felt my gills flaring and I looked down to find my limbs turned into a long red tail, I went back and ripped my Towker off too I looked towards Kieran, with his long green tail, that glowed underwater, I turned towards Alistair who was gazing at his long blue tail in aww, Rowan gestured us to follow, his long silver tail, shinning, I tried to connect with Remus, trying to understand what's happening by how he felt.

My eyes widened as I felt intense agony in the centre of my chest, but it wasn't any wound, it was on much deeper level, I frowned in confusion at his feelings but kept swimming forward.

We could have easily gone there in a glasub, but we can swim faster than it, and this situation was of extreme emergency, we needed to help our brother, that's why we turned into our true body.

As we neared the port, I saw everyone, including our soldiers standing still, they all looked like they were grieving, we quickly rushed into our human forms, and rushed inside, one of the soldiers handed us some boxers, that we donned quickly before rushing towards our brother, who stood in the middle of the crowd, everyone standing around him in a distance, people parted ways immediately after seeing us, as we made our way in the middle, next to our brother, but I froze and my eyes widened as the most intoxicating smell, invaded my senses, making my blood rush to my head as I felt dizzy for a moment,

"MIRIONE"

I heard me and my brothers whisper, causing everyone to erupt in gasps, grin made its way on my face making me rush forward and so did my brothers, but the site in front of me scarred me and my entire being for the rest of my life,

"No"

I heard Kieran, the most romantic out of us brother, who would always dream about meeting our merione, whisper in denial, as tears streamed down his face and he dropped on his knees, next to our decapitated head, as he with shaking hands tried to turn her head towards us, his long crimson hair sprawled around her, as soon as Kieran turned her head, Sky blue eyes stared directly in my soul as if questioning,

"Why me?"

I shook my head, at the memory, after that incident, Alistair had become an even bigger playboy, Kieran, the boy with a hope brimming in his eyes, a cheery attitude, and kind smile had disappeared and in his place a cold and emotionless boy with no hope in his eyes was seen, Remus had stopped talking to us after the incident, our talks were always related to work, the fatherly figure among us Rowan, turned cold and snapped at everyone even in smallest things and I buried myself in my work.

Last night was the first time after our Merione's death we all left the palace together, to go for a party, our father had insisted us for it, since it was Lady Zendaya's birthday, dad thought that it will be good for Remus to meet his fiancé, I know our father was doing it for the best, but Remus still was angry at father for it, Rowan and Remus were in a heated debate regarding the situation, throughout the ride and even after we landed, while I just felt super tired, though I had noticed that Remus had grown super Quiet after we entered the party, and saw him frequently turning around and eyeing someone, making me frown and follow his gaze and my own eyes widened, a really small boy, was standing and serving some pets, but what caught my eyes were the same crimson hair as our mate, my breath hitched when I saw his sky blue eyes, but I frowned at the mask covering his face, I heard the sound of spoon dropping making me look back and see that Alistair was staring at him in shock and Kieran was teary eyed, I could faintly hear father trying to get Rowan's attention, as he too watched the boy with his mouth agape, I then saw him gesture our waiter for the night and murmur something in his ear, as the waiter boy nodded and went towards the boy, who looked like our mate's twin, I saw him look at us with wide eyes before nodding meekly towards the boy and write something to the pet he was serving, then walk towards us with his gaze downwards, from the corner of my eyes I could see father was confused of our actions but say nothing.

The boy came towards us and bowed deeply, and graciously, all his movements were gracious, and I felt myself growing suspicious of this boy,

His movements were naturally gracious but somewhat forced, as if... he was trying to create an illusion, the way he kept his chin high yet bowed, was something I had never seen.

"All Right children, I will take my leave."

Father's voice jolted us out of our reverie, as we all noticed that we had been staring at her like a creep.

We all nodded in acknowledgement at father, before turning towards the mystery boy, with a mask on his face,

"Why do you wear a mask."

I heard Rowan ask him, and the boy reached inside his pocket to take something out, but our waiter beated him to it.

"Your highness, he tried to run away once but one of her friends told the guards about it. He shoved his face into the ice cold water but was smart enough to cover her mouth and eyes. She can't speak due to the trauma she suffered after seeing her face."

I was horrified at this, how could they do that, I saw Remus looking like he was on the verge of going berserk, but refrained himself from acting on it, I saw Finn grit his teeth, no one spoke for quite some time, after sometime Rowan cleared his throat and changed the topic.

"So Finn, what are you training to become."

Kieran asked him kindly, and I wanted him to say and not wanted him to say pet at the same time, but when he wrote the answer on the notepad and the paper was passed on to me, I was genuinely surprised.

I want to join the army, your highness.

I would have never guessed a feminine little thing like him would ever be so brave. Every human know what they are signing up for while training for becoming a soldier, they are the worst to suffer, always used as a tester, a bait, a camouflage.

"I am proud of you Finn, Nowadays boys are too afraid to join though I don't know a little thing like you can fight or not."

I heard everyone around me chuckle, as I saw Finn tighten his fists, and I was surprised at his fiery attitude.

"Be my pet Finn."

I heard Alistair say, and all of us freeze and for a moment I could feel Finn radiate his anger, so I decided to lighten up the mood.

"Since when did you started swinging both ways."

I asked Alistair lazily, making Finn relax slightly.

"I don't think I swing both ways, I am just intrigued by him. Plus he looks antique. I can add him to my collection, Maybe, just maybe, I can play with him a bit too."

He said while winking at Finn and I was amused yet sad o see a disgusted shiver roll down his spine, he clearly wasn't into boys, I don't know why but I didn't like the thought of it.

" Actually, I have a preposition for you, Finn. You can come with us to out place and we can help you train better and when time comes you can prove your worth in Arena. If you are good enough Remus will be happy to have you in our army. He is the one who looks after selection. Until then you can stay with us as our pet"

This shocked me, I looked at Rowan and he was watching her with adoration, this made me frown, she is not our mate, we should not get attached to Finn.

I saw Finn write something and pass it to Rowan but Alistair snatched it from him, and read it before smirking at him mischeviously.

"Then you will be our pet till we get bored of you."

And I easily guessed what was written in the paper.

"If you agree to the terms of our deal, we will send out glasub tomorrow 8am, that is when you come out for work right? Pack whatever you have our driver will drive you to our place."

Rowan said in his business like voice and I was surprised to see how quickly it was escalating,

I saw Finn nod and bow more graciously this time, but he looked like he was in daze and I watched him rush towards the garden.

I wanted to talk to my brother about this mysterious boy, but Lady Zendaya was already there, apologising for being late, and it shocked and angered each one of us to see that Lady Zendaya allowed us to speak her first name, and called Remus, merione, and sat on his lap, which was traditional for a fiancé to do, but I didn't like it still.

But I don't know why I had this nagging feeling about Finn.

Especially when today, Remus nuzzled his neck, like a merione.

Remus has always been more reserved, and that's why he never kept a pet, but he had been really free with Finn,

And I still don't understand why I have the urge to nuzzle her neck too.
