Chapter-18

We were out of the cell and I could see my two sisters standing at the entrance with a huge smile glued to their face perfectly indicating that they have seen me come. Mi so came running and jumped into my arms. I held her tight and hugged her with all the force I had in me. We were both crying. She was crying because she missed me and I was crying because I still couldn't get over the murder I did. Kang followed with tears in her eyes too and she hugged us tightly. "Caused enough trouble for a lifetime, didn't you little sis.", she said with a hint of worry and laughter at the end. Mi So stepped down but she refused to let go of my hand. She did really miss me it seems. I looked up at Lee who was smiling at us, gracefully being in his character. "You should go home now and rest. I will see you tomorrow.", he said and kissed my forehead lightly. For a moment I was taken aback and the kiss almost felt real. He lightly shoved me at the end making it clear that it was an act. I laughed nervously and playfully shoved him back. He didn't take it in a playful manner I guess because next thing I know was I found myself laying on the ground. He shoved me a little too hard. Mi So who was holding my hand also fell on the ground but she was still in a better position. I glared at him and all he did was a smirk. "Oh! I am so sorry, I didn't mean it.", he said and helped me up while smirking all this while. My sister helped Mi So up. "it's okay", I said controlling the urge to punch him in the face. "You are too skinny just after spending a day in the cell, go eat something or even the air would make you trip.", he said showing fake care and with a last pat on my head, he left. My sisters bowed down to show respect and seeing this as the perfect moment I cussed at him. He looked back laughed and went inside the gates of the palace. "ooh I see some chemistry here.", Kang teased. I rolled my eyes and started to walk towards the quarters we were staying in. Mi So came running and again held my hand. I smiled at her and she just held on. Kang followed us with her one hand wrapped around my shoulder. The three of us walked back together and at that moment I didn't need anything else than to live happily with my two sisters and amma. After getting a heart-warming welcome followed by a nice long lecture on etiquettes from my mom, we finally had dinner and went to bed. I couldn't sleep. I was changing sides and all I could think about was Lee. Not Aiden but Lee. I wondered if there ever was a Lee in that guy. Or his acting skills are just too good. Did my first love reveal out to be the biggest scam in my life? Were those eyes which stared into mine with so much care and love all for the show? I couldn't believe that someone could act so well and emote all such complicated emotions with so much skill. But then he was a god after all. Thinking about Lee I spent my whole night turning in the bed and soon it was time to be up. I got up from the bed and after freshening up I left for a nice walk.

I was under the tree where all my problems seemed to ease out a bit, my cherry blossom tree. "Walking again, I see.", I heard a familiar voice. My heart raced for a second but soon it realised except the voice and the form nothing was familiar about this guy anymore. I kept my eyes on the tree and he walked closer. I was keeping an eye on all his actions by my peripheral vision. "Ignoring your boss now, are you little healer?", he mocked. I walked up to him with a smirk and said, "Stay in the character, your majesty.". He laughed a little showing sarcasm and held my hand and pulled me back tightening his grip on my wrist. "Watch your words around me and also this attitude of yours.", he whispered threateningly in my ear. "You are hurting me.", I said whining in pain. He let my wrist go with a jerk and turned around. I rubbed my wrist to soothe the pain. "We are here for a reason and not to play around.", he said with seriousness in his tone.

"Yes, the job you never tell me about.", I said. "Can't you be patient.", he yelled. I looked around and asked him to not yell and I even managed to say immature under my breath, lucky for me he didn't hear. "We need to talk at a place more private.", he said. He looked around for a while thinking of a safer place. "Follow me", saying this he ran towards the gate and I followed. We stopped at the river bank where I first met Lee. The memories came like a gush of wind and left in the same way leaving some tears in my eyes. How is it possible to feel like you lost someone even when they are right in front of you? He was facing the river and I wondered is he thinking about the same thing that I am. But then I pushed the thought away. Surprises are better than expectations. "We have to kill the head.", he said. To say that I was shocked would be an understatement. I was horrified to another level. The head was that one guy with more security than even the king himself and the whole village respected him with their life. I was hoping with all that I had in me that this was a joke but his expressions made it clear it wasn't and also that it was some serious business that we were talking about here.
