Finally

Euna leaned against the closed door as she tried to regain her normal breathing - forget trying to comprehend what just happened. She picked up the ends of her hair that were lightly brushed by the footsteps following her, gaping at the charred edges. Heaving one last sigh, Euna collapsed onto the floor and wiped at the remainders of her tears.

She reached into her pocket with a quivering hand, pulling out the black marker. Euna steadied her flashlight onto the surroundings of the room and spotted a frame in the corner of the room. She neared towards it and found a picture of the woman's face on a rainy night. It was quite creepy, Euna thought. The portrait stared at her with deadly, piercing eyes.

Euna brought her hand up to the picture and signed her name as neatly as possible. She stood back from the painting and took a deep breath, returning to the door. Euna was scarred from the chase but had to get back to the gym somehow.

She put her marker away and took out her flashlight once more. Her hand reached for the door, opening it while trembling. She poked her head through the opening to investigate the area.

She heard nothing, making her confused as she stepped out of the maintenance room. Just because it was safe, however, didn't mean she wouldn't race all the way back to the gym. Euna started up her pace, keeping a swift speed that was quick but wouldn't tire her too much.

Nothing seemed to be chasing her, which made Euna more than grateful. Unfortunately, it didn't calm Euna's nerves one bit. When Euna passed the staffroom, she noticed that the blood and mutilated body were all gone. There was no remaining drop of blood to be seen anywhere. Euna was confused, yet didn't question, as there were more questionable things that happened that night.

From shattered glass to dead bodies with blood to screeching and footsteps, She had her share of fear for one night. Actually, make that the entire night, she thought. It wasn't until the very end of her thought train that Euna recalled how it all started. And all this for one dare? She would have tackled Charlotte straight to the ground after, demanding an answer, but she knew Charlotte would be just as confused as she was. Euna figured it was best to pretend like the night was so easy, even though that was far from the truth.

Euna almost cried tears of joy as she made out the gym entrance at the end of the hallway. She felt herself subconsciously dashing to the doors, slamming her way through, making sure to wipe her tears before Wendy, Lyra or Charlotte noticed. Euna hurriedly walked to the group of three by the doorway to not appear suspicious.

"Euna! You're back! Took you a while." Charlotte called out from a distance.

Euna fought the urge to strangle Charlotte and teetered nervously as she closed towards the three.

"Y-yeah. I did it." She tried her best not to sound like she just went through a life or death chase, though it was harder than it seemed.

"How was it? Was it easy?" Lyra blurted.

"It wasn't anywhere as bad as I thought it would be. It's really only the dark that's hard to navigate." Euna forced a laugh through her lips and scurried out the door. "Come on, let's go back. I'm tired."
