Just A Little Tired

"Same here." Wendy yawned, following after Euna. Lyra and Charlotte made haste after Wendy and Euna out the door.

"Do you guys wanna continue our game of truth or dare?" Wendy smirked. Euna sighed in relief as the subject of the dare was dropped and replaced with another topic.

"I'd rather sleep if I'm being real with you." Euna replied while stretching her arms.

"I suppose we all are exhausted. Let's call it a night." Charlotte added, signalling for Lyra to say something. She only shrugged.

A hushed silence fell amongst the four friends as they made their way across the gravel path. Euna would usually be the one keeping everyone from going quiet, but she couldn't argue with the peace that came over her at that moment so she kept her mouth shut.

Aside from the events that occurred in the school, it was a peaceful night outside, bringing a serene state to her head that allowed her to fully close her eyes for the first time since she entered the school earlier that night. The sound of gravel under her feet and rustling of leaves soothed and further eased her into relaxation, which she planned on cherishing for the rest of the night.

Wendy pulled out her car keys, fumbling with the buttons before unlocking the car.

"Alrighty losers, get in the car." She chanted.

Euna pushed through everyone, including Wendy and darted to the car, eager to get in. She propped open the door and let herself in, Charlotte and Lyra going directly after her and hopping in the car as well.

Wendy was the last the get in as she pulled on the handle then squatted herself into the driver's seat. She started the car and began to exit the school parking lot.

Euna stared out her window, not even bothering with processing what happened at school. She always firmly believed to never forget, but this was one event of her life she wished she could never have any recollection of. Euna peered over at Charlotte and Lyra who had their phones out and were listening to music together, squabbling over different songs and singers. If it were any other time, she would've hopped right into that conversation.

It wasn't until that moment that she felt overwhelming exhausted. Euna propped her head against the car window, using her arm to support it. She let her eyes close and her body go limp as the shaking of the car while driving soothed her, lulling her to sleep.
