"Dear wake up you have to get dressed."
"I'll do that alone, thank you," I grab the clothes from her, and I do just that.
Hours later, am back inside.
"Welcome back." The guard walk me to my room close the door before they disappear.
Here we go again, if I don't do it now. There won't be time or another day.
I grab the paper and the pen I hide in my clothes. I write a letter.
Before everyone heads out to the dinning room I leave it where they can see it, am leaving this place.
I walk over to the bathroom, the last patient broke the window and they haven't fixed it yet. It's a tight squeeze but I'll make it.
I go through the window, it scratches my skin and clothes but I pull through, lucky for me they ain't any guards out here.
I start running the direction of the trees, as fast as I can before they notice am missing.
I fall over countless times but I get up every time and run.
Night falls and am still running, I need to get as far as I can, I see the road up a head. I can't run anymore I need to rest.
I catch a ride in a truck to town, am not the uniform so they don't suspect anything.
It's cold and winding but we'll be there soon.
The truck stops on a fuel station I can recognise, I drop.
"Thank you." I start walking as far as I can, I cross streets.
Am tired, hungry and weak I need to rest but I don't know who I can trust, then it hits me.
The woman who helped me in the library store. When I needed help and she accepted me for me, I hope she still stays here.
Am standing on her door step, dirty and cold.
"yes.. coming," she opens the door and she's in shock.
"Hello," I manage to smile.
"Oh dear, what happened to you, get inside," she closes the door behind me.
"help me," that's all I manage to say before I pass out.
