CHAPTER NINETEEN OMARION

"So she was your best friend?", she asked bringing an interest to the story.

" Well....we could say that. After I had been dumped at the orphanage by my parents,I became so attached to her. She was the only person that understood me...",I explained feeling marvelled. Luen was more than just a best friend. She was more like ME. She knew me better. She knew me well...so well that she'd even tell I blinked after every ten seconds exactly.

"Dumped? Your parents dumped you?", Prim asked in shock. I know. Even I couldn't believe it the first time I knew that they dumped me. They didn't want me. I must have been a shame or a curse to them maybe. I just didn't know why they'd do that and yet they held the status of being my parents. If only I met them today, I'd spank them with my money and thank them for dumping me. If they hadn't,I definitely wouldn't be here.

"We used to live under the supervision of this woman we called madam Violet. I used to think she was my mother until when I turned seven and she told me the truth. She told me that she found me on the entrance to the orphanage and just then she saw a woman running into a van that immediately drove off. She took me in and took care of me just like all the other kids. And then Luen came. She wasn't really an orphan, she was just brought because her parents had issues as she was a child out of wedlock. So they made her stay with us in the meanwhile...", I explained.

" Wow...",she replied rubbing her temple,"Wow!wow!...and wow!",she added it more.

"...Luen used to make me cheese milk for breakfast with floating strawberries. She used to call it a happy drink for her kiln whenever she was bringing it. It really brought joy to my heart to hear her say that", I paused for a while after I noticed we came to the peak of the hill we were climbing. The lights looked beautiful this close. I always adored them when I saw them from afar off up on my room's balcony. I always found them fascinating and bringing enlightenment to the soul. However, when I saw them with Prim the other day, I saw something different from the normal lights I see everyday. It was more of a splendid sparkle on each house in the city. More of city of sparks unlike city of lights. To make it even more interesting, here I was seeing them with her again. Every single time it was refreshing and adoring. Killing all ill thoughts and breathing life again. I didn't know if it was wise talking about Luen to Prim but I just had to. She had to know it. Just that...she couldn't know the other half yet. I only told her fifty percent of Luen..I never told her the other fifty percent. Revealing the other fifty percent would prove to be deadly and would definitely exacerbate the situation.

"I really need to meet her one day....", I heard Prim speak interrupting my thoughts. She wanted to meet Luen? She must have been kidding me.

"You want to meet my ex girlfriend?",I asked completely surprised and hoping I heard her wrong. How awkward will that be. Very bad. "Yeah....I wished I met Lily too but sadly our paths couldn't cross. Of course only through you otherwise NO. So why can't I meet Luen? From everything you've said about her...I have a good picture of her. She's a very nice person and I'd really want to meet her", she smiled firstly looking at me and then at the whole city night view. I got speechless and my brain became dumb. I couldn't understand what was going on here.

"Do you want some ice cream? I want some ice cream. There's an ice cream parlour right beneath this heap do you wanna go buy?", she asked in a whole jovial mood and leading the way. I've learnt never to argue with a woman so I followed her lead. We went downhill and followed the path to beneath the heap. I wasn't sure about this. I really wasn't sure. I had a feeling something gruesome was going to happen. From this part of the peak, the city wasn't as visible enough as the top and it was dull too as most lights had already reached their end in line. I followed with fright inside me. I was completely scared and goosebumps grew all over my body as if I had been caught in the act.

"Prim am not sure about this....",I began pulling my tops zipper up to my neck, covering my head in my hood and shoving my hands in my pockets and followed behind her like a toddler. I was supposed to be the man and lead the way but looks like she wanted to prove she is also a krypton knight with a kryptonite armour so I'll let her do that. She led us to the darker part and I stood at a distance and watched her get the ice cream. She carried two corns;one with white ice cream which was obviously vanilla and the other with pink ice cream giving it away that it was strawberry. She grinned as she walked toward me with the two corns in her hands. Carefully, she placed her foot on the ground keeping in mind she was caring delicate treasure. She walked slowly to were I was and of course before giving me, she wanted to crack a joke first.

"So....is it gonna be pink or white?", she asked making my choosing decision really hard. She asked it in a way that made me feel I was losing one by choosing the other. I recited the inee-meanie-mannie-mo word poem to see whom fate had destined to end up in my belly.

"I don't think so. He'll get neither!", a harsh sounding hoarse voice shouted from behind me. I quickly turned around to expose unto my eyes a man so tall and huge making me wonder if he had acromegaloidism. I swallowed hard in fright as ideas to fight something so huge had all dispersed. Silence spoke for us from my side of the team and we saw some more men emerging from behind this tall man. I looked at Prim and she did the same. She looked behind her only to find that the ice cream sales man was one of the gang. Full of anger, she threw the white corn at his face making my heart scream for my stomach was fully anticipating some flavoured cream. I was sad that I won't be tasting the white one but maybe the pink one will do.

"Who are you and what do you want?", she asked the Goliath looking man who seemed as though he was representing the group. He walked toward her and adoringly, she didn't seem to be afraid of him. She gave him a chest up and nose high in the air.

"I am a person like you....and what I want is simple....I want what I want.....", he replied in a rude tone.

"What?", I asked confused.

"The heart wants what it wants...that's what boss always says",he replied and left his whole gang laughing as though he had cracked the funniest joke in history. I looked at them with a groomy face and he didn't seem pleased about it. He grabbed me by the neck and threw me on the other side of the road smashing my phone against the hard surface as well as my arm. I groaned in pain as I wasn't used to these things. Fighting wasn't who I am. I believed in peace and whoever tried to take it away from me.....will answer to Prim!.. I peeped and saw Prim still standing in that position as though she was glued to the ground. She took her ice cream and threw it and Goliath the second making him angrier. He waged war against me and Prim and we were covered by an army of mad men like this one. I wasn't worried about myself but Prim. I was scared for her. Who knew what these mad men would do. After they got their hands on me, one after another they punched me and I kept groaning after a single one. I screamed Prim's name asking her if she was okay as though I was okay were I was. I didn't see were it came from but a punch landed on my jaw I guess signalling me to keep quite. It worked but I couldn't quiet down at anyone's order when I was checking up on her. Just her...and it made me receive tight and hard slaps that am sure would have my teeth spreading all over the floor in bits. With both my hands grabbed, my struggle was ineffective and there was nothing I could do. They kept slapping me one after another as if tossing a ball in a basket. As they hit me, they kept insulting me, calling me different names and telling me to stay away from Prim. Like I would ever! They repeatedly slapped me making my head swing back and forth. Tired of slapping me,the huge guy came forth and sent another punch into my stomach making me cry out.

"Omar!!", I heard Prim's cry of anguish as I staggered and fell down to the solid ground. The rain began to pour down heavily and I could see traces of my blood flowing along with the water. I couldn't manage to get up and protect Prim. I felt bad. I felt useless. I felt like nothing! She constantly tried to free herself from these men but couldn't manage to. They were just too strong. I cried as my eyes slowly closed. I didn't know if I was passing out or dying. I really wasn't sure which of these was happening. As if it wasn't enough, the huge guy came and grabbed my neck and started to drag me along the road. I didn't know where he was taking me to neither did I have the strength to look around. He stopped and looked left and then right and then left again. At first I was confused on what he was doing, definitely not trying to cross the road; but when I saw where he was headed I figured out his plan. He was standing and making me face my car. I apologized to myself as this was really going to hurt badly. Whether I liked it or not, he was going to throw me against the car's windscreen. Glory to God I always used plastic windscreens such that even if it smashed, the effect wouldn't be as effective as that from a real glass windscreen.

He twisted his neck, readying both of us about what he was going to do and was about to throw me when something hit his head from the back. He threw me down like a useless pack of chips, alerted by the smack and quickly turned around.

"You let him go okay...this instant...", the pretty voice of Primrose Gerardia echoed in my ears and was somehow making my pain go away. Here I was lying on the ground embarrassed and ashamed for not protecting her when she was in my place doing what I was supposed to do.

"You fools! You can't even handle one woman!",he shouted in pure anger after all his men lay on the ground as though they had been sedated. He walked toward her and gave her a tight slap that ended up throwing her on the other side of the road even made me shiver from were I was. I could feel the tremour and quake of the slap and I knew this man had crossed the limit.

"Hey! No hurting the girl remember?", one of his friends whispered but thanks to my hearing Instincts I was able to catch what he said and that's when I knew all this was planned. It was all a well planned conspiracy against me and Prim.

"Let's finish this off and go home, shall we?",he asked as if my reply really held value to him. Before I could even really think about it, he smashed my head against the reflector on my car. He carried me and threw me against the road as though he just wanted to kill me. When I reached the solid ground, my whole body began to ache with pain. I could hear him laughing and coming back. His footsteps heavy and clumsy coming toward me like arrows splashing me with a scarce scary wind from the tension of the arrow. As he reached where I was, he 'accidentally' hit my side making me to hiss in pain. With each passing second,I wondered why I wasn't unconscious yet. All these beatings yet none of them told my brain it was time to get conscious. I just lay still and hoped for a good end to this chapter. I yearned for it to get closed so that we see something else.

"Please...let him go...haven't you done enough already?", she asked clinging so tight to me. She held me so close so much so that I'd feel her heartbeat from her chest and it was racing. She wasn't scared that she'll lose her life...she was scared that she'll lose me! She kept shouting my name and begging these men to leave us alone. Whatever word she uttered was either a request for them to leave or just leave us alone right there. I might have been sad, weak and a lunatic but I was strong about one thing and it was that I had Prim with me. The fact that she was right here helped me believe that it was a risk I could take. She really was amazing. She fought them for me. Even after knowing that she'd be barbecue and get served to the kraken she didn't really care. All she cared for was me. She cried as she came to my aid and examined my badly hurt face.

"Omar am very sorry....am really sorry...It's my fault...",she wept and continued cursing herself. She said all sorts of words against herself and I wondered if she meant all those. She called herself inconsiderate and a pure maleficent. I wished I'd tell her it wasn't her fault. I wish I'd make her understand none of us was wrong. I wish I'd wipe her tears away and bring back that fascinating smile which I saw when she was looking at the fireworks in the backyard at Tabello's palace. Unfortunately, all the energy I had was only enough to make me let out a sigh and went unconscious.

=====

I slipped out of consciousness and into the awakening darkness. If felt like I was floating. Around me all I could see was darkness trapping me in its grasp. It was almost suffocating me, making me grasp for air, for oxygen. At first the darkness seemed cold. Ice cold. Even colder than that. It was like being trapped in the ice in the Antarctic circle. Or even Antarctica. It almost froze my body making it numb and unreal. That's what this all seemed to be. Unreal. With every single part of me aching and no memory of what happened,I tried to turn but my body was suddenly weighing much heavier than my car. "Wake up my love....please wake up....", I heard her voice but faintly. My sight was blurred so I couldn't see her clearly. My eyes were so heavy I couldn't fully open them. I wanted to see this damsel that was whispering these life threatening and menacing texts. I heard the door open and someone came in. Someone I recognized just by sniffing her scent. It was Prim! If Prim wasn't the one next to me then who was...?

"Is he awake yet?", Prim asked. I didn't get the reply the other woman gave. Maybe it was a nod or a gesture. She left the room and Prim came and sat where the other person was. I felt her put her hand on my forehead and swiped off my hair that covered it. My vision was still blurred, but from her touch I knew it was still Prim. Someone can steal her perfume and think they can fool me but no one has the chilling, sizzling touch of her hands.

"Who....who....was that?", I asked out of breath and went back to the showdown. I went back to closing my eyes and extreme weakness hovering all over me. I couldn't accept this though. I know I was ill and weak but weakness was just another villain I had to deal with in this life and eliminate. I assembled all my energy sources to make sure at the count of three I get one shot of strength boost and perform a miracle by rising up from this bed. Three, two, one...Go!

When I opened my eyes, I was hit with blurry vision caused by the light. Remembering what happened, I woke up abruptly not knowing were I was. Looking around, I sighed in relief releasing I was in my room. Memories of yesterday came racing back to me. Fear. Terror. Torture. Beating. Almost murder. Then all the hitting came racing back. I was badly hit as though I was a punching bag. My headache was bad as though I was being hit with a sledgehammer. I sat up on my bed and tried to bang my head with my left palm to activate my brain. I sensed someone's hand gently removing my hand from my forehead and placing it down on the pillow. She came near me and helped me sit properly by supporting my back with some of the pillows from my bed. She raced to my table and dipped a piece of cloth in the hot water. She then squeezed the cloth and used it to touch my eyes. Slowly, slowly the heaviness disappeared and then my eyes saw clearly. I was glad the face I first saw was that of the person I truly loved. Liam always told me that when you close your eyes, the very first person you see is the one you love. Quiet true but now I have a better theory. I found a way to perfect his way of thinking. You didn't need to close your eyes to see the face of the person you love. It didn't require such a drastic step. Even when your eyes are open, she'll always be in front of you....whether physically or by other means. And she was really right here.... I missed her eyes, her face and her smile. I didn't know for how long I'd been asleep but I was happy that I was finally awake.

"Today is day number five right?", I asked her as she massaged the rest of my face with that cotton cloth. "Omar...please dont think about that...", she replied trying to brush it off and avoiding to look at my face. I grabbed her hand waving her curls in the air and forcing her to look at me.

"Today is day number five....Right?", I asked again.

"Right...", she surrendered. I loved it when she did that. She looked at me in a lovely manner and slowly took her hand away from mine. She rinsed the blood off and went on the other side of my face.

"You're not doing okay....so don't crack your brain too much. We'll continue with your challenge some other time....let's focus on your health first...", she spoke at the same time rubbing my face and easing the pain. She finished and then put the water and the cloth away. She climbed on my bed and helped me stand up too.

"From now on....I'll continue with the challenge okay....you did five days I'll also do five days... ",she explained while taking the pillows outside of the pillow cases. Confused I just stared at her and waited for what she had to say. She removed the buttons and gave one to me. She did the same with the other and she carried it.

"We're going to have a pillow fight okay....whoever wins....will continue with the challenge....", she winked and slapped my face with her pillow spreading the white stuffing all over my face and letting them fall all over the bed like feathers in a nest. It stung a little and was also relieving. It was a life giving experience and pain taking. When the soft cotton landed on my face,I felt a touch of glory and amusement. A whole new realm opened up and instead of pain, I felt joy. The coldness that I felt dispersed and now I felt warmer. Everything was burning and I had no way of escaping the burning sensation that was surrounding me. The flames flickered closer.

They where genuine flames and they burned in iridescent patterns. Intrigued by the colours, I reached my hand out to touch the flames. They seemed to follow my movement and flickered closer to my hand. The sight was so rare; so different such that it seemed to put me under a trance. Eventually, my hand was engulfed in the flames but the weird thing is that they didn't burn. I reached in further up to my elbow was in. Then, my waist started to burn. It was a horrible sensation that raced through my body as the iridescent flames burned my body. It was as scaring as the sight of a syringe but through it all, I was completely numb that I couldn't feel any sort of pain. I tried to pull back but was unable to. It's as if there was a spirit in the flames that kept pulling me to it.

Soon, the flames engulfed my whole body and I heard whispers coming from it.

"Am glad you're okay....it gives me joy to see you like this...am so sorry I had to make us go there. I just wanted to go for a walk but everything got ruined. I didn't mean for you to get hurt...am truly sorry...",the warm voice whispered into my ear. The heat somehow helped me flex and rebuilt all my shortcomings. All my weaknesses got strengthened and I was myself again. This fire was so different. Cosmic and love attributed. It healed me. It restored me. It strengthened me.

"Am sorry..", my eyes got opened and I saw Prim. She was the one who's voice was in the fire. It got me by surprise to how she got in. What was she doing in my inventiveness? I couldn't see her clearly though...I couldn't even see her!! Am pretty sure this wasn't an adverse reaction from the drugs I took. It felt so real. Or perhaps...was she the fire?

I raised my hand to touch her skin in an attempt to confirm my hypothetical questions. I touched her skin with my forefinger and later followed by the other fingers. She blinked consecutively and quickly looked down, like a shy angel. She looked beautiful. She was beautiful! I smiled and engulfed her in a bear hug.

"Whoa..!! Where'd all the strength come from... ?", she asked completely shocked that I had energy for such an embrace.

"Am full of surprises...", I whispered in her ear making her jerk from the tinkling sensation that came from my whisper.

"I see....ready to go in the game now? Is your head okay??",she asked placing the back of her palm on my temple checking my temperature. I nodded in response to her question.

I raised my hand weakly and crushed the pillow against her face, unstuffing it. We went on like that for a while; picking pillow after pillow filling up the bed with stuffings that went all the way to our knees. Actually my knees as for her it was somewhere in the legs. You know, short people!

Out of pillows, she looked at me and then at the pile of tiny, white, feathery, stuffings. She scratched the back of her head and I knew she was hatching a wicked idea.

"How about we throw ourselves on this pile of cushions?", she asked biting her lower lip in a manner that made it hard for me to say No. I nodded nervously although I wasn't sure about it. She pushed through the stuffings and got to were I was. She held my hand tightly and closed her eyes.

"Visualise it as an ocean and we are standing on a diving board....and are about to jump in", she said. Am pretty sure she was visionary and busy imagining the whole thing. She peeped through her left eye to look at me and caught me staring at her. She raised an eyebrow and I quickly shut my eyes. "You are allowed to scream and shout out the craziest words you would ever say....or the fun and cool words you'd ever think of....",

"Got it..", I replied after I already knew what I'd say. She began the count down from three and the moment she said one, we both screamed 'Cannonball!!' and jumped onto my bed making the whole stuffings fly in the air and filling up the whole room. I woke up and saw her under the beautiful white rain. She was smiling and laughing with the stuffings landing on each part of her face increasing the glamour and sparkle of her face. She was more than what I thought she was. More of a mythical being than a human being. She got up and joined what I was doing. She noticed that she caught my attention so I let her get the most of me too. She looked at me the way a mother looks at her baby for the very first time. With happiness, bliss and love. She crawled toward me and removed some of the cushions that landed on my face. I did the same and winked. I smiled followed by a light laughter. All for this person whom I longed to love and to cherish.

"I would like you to make me some coffee", she said and got up. She helped me get up too and we went to my kitchen.

"... But I don't know how to make coffee...", I tried to turn the situation around.

"Oh don't worry.....am here....nothing can go wrong...",she said sitting on the counter. She signalled me to go to the cooking area and I did.

"You just do as I say...okay?",

I nodded and began doing as she told me. Step by step I carefully did everything. I was making coffee for the very first time and so I had to make sure it was spectacular and amazing that even when out on the market,it would win a lot of hearts. I carefully took two spoons of espresso and poured them in the pot. She said we will do it the local way without coffee makers and pitchers. I agreed. Who would deny advice from the best coffee maker in the whole universe?

I took milk from my fridge as instructed and added to it. Let it boil and blend together with the espresso. She said she loved it sugar free so I didn't bother even adding any. I just got weirded out as I wondered how that would taste without sugar. After letting it boil for sometime, I poured it into two cups and tossed the other one to her.

"Thank you",she smiled and took a sip. She clapped right after and immediately kissed my nose.

"You deserved a kiss on the nose for this. This is good", she said taking another sip.

"Thank you...",I smiled feeling all good and amazing. I felt so great as though I would do anything. I felt really brave and strong. I felt like ironman and dared to take out anything or anyone that comes my way. I was happy to see her drink the cup to the last drop. I knew she wasn't joking when she said she liked it. She wasn't that kind of a person who would lie to see you smile. She wasn't that cheap. She was far more expensive. So much expensive for she was made of truth. Truth alone. She spoke the truth and was deserving of it too.

"Hey hey hey... ",Liam burst into the kitchen along with Cass. He was carrying a flower bouquet with a get well soon card. He gave it to Prim and asked her to give it to me. I found it funny how he had to use a third party for the very same task.

"Hey Liam...",I greeted him back.

"How's my favorite person?", he asked. I heard a cough from Cass and I looked at Liam and he knew what he did wrong.

"..second favorite person...",he repeated and with a gesture this time that assured her she was number one.

"With Prim around, I'll forever be awesome", I replied looking at her. She was the reason why I was strong again.

"Thanks to Prim then....", he said giving her a hug.

"Not forgetting the drugs he was given too. If it weren't for them he wouldn't be this strong...", Cass said crossing her hands on her chest. I exchanged looks with Prim and then she looked at Liam who told her it's okay. Cass wasn't herself lately. She just couldn't compliment Prim no matter how great she did. Something was definitely wrong with her. I didn't know she was this jealous all this time. And why was she even jealous of Prim? What did Prim have that she didn't have? She couldn't stand the fact that Prim was the reason I got better. I tried not to get mad though. I tried to keep it low and cool.

"So....what'd you guys do today?",Liam asked changing the topic. He also sensed the tension in the atmosphere and so he just thought of dissolving it.

"Well...we stared...and then talked and then had a pillow fight and then we stared again...and then made coffee and then you guys came", I explained.

"Looks like you had nothing better to do than just stare...", Cass scoffed. She was delusional and I was getting really annoyed. "Are you serious? Staring is the best thing that I'd ever do. I'd love to spend my whole day staring at Prim than doing anything else...", I replied to piss her off. I also meant it though. I really did. I saw her taking a glass of water. Yeah she needed that! She must have been hot. Hot jealous!

"Okay...um Prim.....is it possible for us to use your house this weekend for a game I would love us to play? Right after we the grand official opening of Cassandra's Palace...?",Liam asked softening the mood between the two ladies.

"Yeah sure....no problem....", she replied smiling as though she won a lottery. Well of course she did. We were going to play our game at her house. Super and sweet. I've never seen her room before so maybe I'll get the chance to see it now. I didn't know why but I was just abracadabra into seeing her room.

I asked them to wait for me in the living room as I had something to show to them. They all left the kitchen and I went to my room to get my most priced possession. I've never had something so expensive as this. I don't know at how much it was bought but it meant so much to me. I walked all the way to my wardrobe at the end of the line and opened it. I found it lying right where I left it a few years back. I've never really taken it out just dusted it on it's position. I never attempted to move it. I just felt so drawn to it so much that I had to protect it. A single scratch on it would imply my defeat and I didn't want that. I slowly drew it away from the wardrobe and walked toward my bathroom to give it a light wipe. I cleaned it making it sparkle and I kissed it goodbye. It was going in the perfect hands now. I loved and trusted Prim so much to hand this to her. I walked toward the living room and carefully placed it in her hands right in front of Liam and Cass. I wanted my two friends to be the witnesses of this romance. I wanted them to be there as I hand such over to her.

"Prim....I would like you to keep this vase", I said slowly putting it in her hands. She looked at me completely shocked. I understood each and every expression on her face. She might have been frightened and disturbed. I expected that.

"You're...giving her that vase?", Cass asked almost dropping her glass "You said it means so much to you and you'd never trust anyone with it. You said it's much more important than a high degree ancient artifact...", she explained. I understood every word she said and why. I totally got her. I could see the envy in her eyes as she asked me all these question. With no sense of embarrassment in her eyes, she kept on asking these ridiculous questions that gave away her jealousy and right in front of her boyfriend. I looked at him and I knew he was irritated by her behaviour.

"Yes I said all that and I meant all those words...that's why am finally giving it to Prim...I trust her with this vase",I answered her and rendered her silent. I turned to Prim and gladly gave her the vase. She slowly opened her hands as if she was receiving hot coal right from the burner and was afraid of getting blisters. I gently put it in her hands and she received it in a welcoming manner. She kissed and hugged it carefully keeping in mind that it would break.

"Thank you...", she replied giving me an assuring smile. She completely understood the whole logic behind me giving her that vase. I could tell she knew just what I was implying. I gave my family to her. The vase meant my family and I surrendered it to her. I loved her that much. She looked at me and I could see her eyes speak. It was more than gratefulness and more than joy. It was beyond a hearts contentment when it finds recognition in moments of despair. I couldn't fully understand what she was saying so I decided to take her aside. But before that, I needed to ask her something.

"Who was in my room the time you were coming in?", I asked. I really needed to know that woman. She felt like Luen and I was really confused. I knew I wasn't losing my mind but this whole thing was insane.

"Oh...Cass....why?",she asked;the smile on her face fading.

"No....I just wanted to know. I thought it was you so since I couldn't confirm I had to draw myself away before my mind thought of anything unusual.....", I lied. "So... What's up?",

"Um...I need to get home. My aunt might be worried about me....", she explained.

"Oh....okay....", I was sad that she had to leave but I understood she couldn't stay. She's been with me for almost each and every day and now she had to go away. I got used to having her around. Dependent and reliant on her I became. She was like the sun I'd see to know it's day and the moon to hint me it's night. I was sad that she had to go but it's not like she won't ever come back. She's going to come back.

"I'll see you out...",I suggested.

"No no...you need to rest...we can talk later....it's really no big deal", she said putting the vase down and gave me a light hug. She waved at Cass and Liam as well and went out. Later,Liam said he had to leave too and he went away leaving me in a very distractive position alone at home.

I walked to my room, leaving Cass on the living room. I didn't want to have any form of conversation with her so I just couldn't stay. What would we even be talking about? I was blank. I walked to my kitchen, took out a carton of my favorite Cerés juice and walked all the way to my bedroom. It was almost sundown and we would be walking to my balcony right now to look at the stars. She loved that. Studying the stars. She would call them names and I wonder if she was God himself. Of course not! I walked to my balcony and remembered the very first conversations we had. She really was a piece of cake and I loved every single word that came out of her. She was like a rose whose petals had fallen off but she still had strength to live and move on. I didn't know her but I knew she carried greatness.

I took a sip of my juice and continued to reflect on the events that have happened lately since that day.

"Am glad you're doing okay....", the Conny voice became louder in my ears again. She was here. She walked to where I stood and joined me in admiring the beautiful view.

"Beautiful, isn't it?",she asked.

"Uh-huh...", I interjected. I was so put off and wasn't in the talking mood and with each passing second,I was getting angry. Every breath was an atrocious beginning of an era full of conniving minds. I was getting angrier and more angrier even by the slightest glimpse of her.

"So....you took her to Disneyland and to Paris?",she went on straight without winding and which was something I really liked. I don't like winding roads. "Why did you come in my room and said all those things you said?", I asked ignoring her question.

"A question doesn't answer another...",she placed her glass on the window and crossed her arms across her chest. She gave me a look that I could feel was penetrating my skin by the look on her face and those cat eyes of hers.

"Oh doesn't it?", I asked again completely mad.

" Nope!",

"Then how about we start with you answering my questions. What did you say what you said to me?", I repeated myself which was something I didn't like.

" Am I not allowed to love you?",

"We both know that's not what you meant...", I completely blocked the path so that she doesn't think of escaping this one. This mindset had to be stopped once and for all. This mind of hers that kept thinking there was still a spark left. Oh No there wasn't. All the fire was gone...completely gone. That explained why she had Liam and not me anymore. She had to understand that and I was going to make her understand by crook or hook.....whether she cooperates or not.!

" You think I'll just stand and watch you take her to Disneyland and To see the Eiffel tower?",

"What's wrong with that?",

" You know I've always wanted to go there. You know those places are my favourite places. You said you'll take me there....but you took her instead",she said the last part in a low tone and I figured someone was broken. Broken Angel.

"It just can't work out for me to take you there. I said I'd take my girlfriend there.. which you no longer are...and since Prim is,why not take her...?",

".. So you waited until she'd become your girlfriend and you'd take her?", she asked completely changing the story.

"What???",

"That's unfair Omar...so unfair! You even gave her your vase. You said you'd never give it away! You never allowed me to even touch it!", she shouted at me. She was so angry and burning in jealousy making me realise this is a serious issue. It got personal. Very personal.

"Unfair? What does that even mean?? You're not my girlfriend anymore why should I treat you like one?",I asked slowly letting out the anger that was building up in me.

"Oh wow.....", she clapped "What's so special about her that you have to fight with me? What's so special about her that you give her so much value unlike some of us who have to wait until you get money? That's the excuse you gave right? But with her, you just did. You even planted a full estate spelling out you love her? You never did that for me!! What is special about this Prim? You even attempted to commit suicide just for her! Is she God? Did she give birth to you maybe? Is she the leader, owner of the universe or what? What makes her different??!", question after question she fired at me. They all came setting my world on fire. Like the fire brigade, I wasn't able to put it out so I just had to escape it lest I get burnt.

"Drink some water...you seem to be on fire...!!",I took her glass and gave it to her. She was crying and her tears got stained in her black eye-shadow and melted her mascara giving them a dark colour as they ran down her cheeks. She really looked like a monster. It all reflected who she was on the inside and I realised she became one. I never knew her to be this jealous. Was I really wrong here?

"You wanna know what makes Prim different? She doesn't have a malevolent mind like yours...", I pointed it out still wondering if what I said was right or wrong. I just had to tell her that and she just had to listen to me. Whether she's going to take heed or not, that was her problem. At least I did her a good favour by telling her the truth.

I walked toward my room and as I was about to leave,I heard a glass shatter. I quickly turned around and found it in her hands. In her rage, she squeezed the glass so much that it jabbed her palms and I could see her blood flowing and dripping on my floor. I was scared. What was this?

"All it took was one stupid glass and you quickly turned around to look at me. Wait until this shatter is of your heart. I don't care if it means I have to be the villain in your love story but as long as it gets you to give me the attention I want, I'll do it. I won't let what's mine slip off my grip. I'll never let that happen. Even if it means I have to get hurt...paint my body in scars...or bleed a little.....that's no big deal...just as long as I get what is rightfully mine!", she took a deep breath and looked at me.

I really had no idea what she was up to but I knew it was something dark and devious. I didn't know that a trip to Disneyland would upset her that much and awaken the devil in her. The broken angel was now a fixed demon. All the goodness in her dispersed and she now harboured a whole different character and theme. Nothing made sense to her as much as it didn't make sense to me. I knew everything was different and it'd be hard for her to accept it but i just didn't understand it to an extent that she would actually turn evil. What she just said was something no ordinary man would even think of. Something wasn't right with Cass. Something was definitely wrong with her and it was beyond jealousy from what I saw and had experienced. Things didn't really matter to her anymore. All she wanted was what she wanted....which I really didn't understand.

I wasn't scared though. I really wasn't scared. As long as I had Prim,I'd handle everything. I can do all things with Prim around me. All weight is weightless with her around....and this....Cass's threats ..were just a piece of cake. I can handle her. I can really handle her.

" I'd like to see you try...",I gave my reply after critical thinking
