The year passed and Daisy's weekly letters became monthly and they were filled with pictures of her Pokemon. From the first time she caught them, when they evolved and everytime they won a contest ribbon or a gym badge. After a year Daisy had four specific teams ready to help her, two teams to tackle the contest line and two to handle gym battling. Although from time to time she mixed things up to keep up the variety and add her own personal touch to battle.
The contest line up involved:
The first group line up consisted of Oddish who evolved into Gloom then evolved into Bellossom, Eevee, Caterpie who had evolved into a Metapod then into Butterfree, Feebas who had evolved into a Milotic, Staryu and Corsula.
The second group line up consisted of Bellossom, Chikorita, Luvdisc, Ladyba and a Clefairy she had luckily caught at Mt Moon.
The battle line up involved:
The first group had Bellossom, Squirtle who evolved into a Wartotle, Scyther, Staryu, Magikarp that evolved into Gyarados and Machamp.
The second group had Bellossom, Spearow who evolved into Fearrow, Sandshrew who evolved into Sandslash, Horsea who evolved into Seadra, Weedle that evolved into Kakuna than into Beedrill and Venonat that evolved into Venomoth.
Ash had met all of the Pokemon whenever Daisy rotated them to train the team or do a mix up or take a break. Although some of the Pokemon were wary of meeting new humans, because of the fact some of them were abused or abandoned by their previous trainers before Daisy had found them, they had warmed up enough to be taken care of by the assistants. Daisy was currently on her final ribbon and her sixth gym badge, which she had just won from the young gym leader Sabrina. She was not much older than Daisy and the two had become fast friends after the battle if the photo that Ash saw was anything to go by. He was happy she was enjoying herself despite some of the hiccups she went through during the journey. Gary meanwhile was excited Daisy would be returning home for a small break. The Grande festival would start soon and his sister wanted to relax and rest a bit before starting up her training again.
Gary grinned, "I can't wait for sis to be home."
Ash smiled, "You are very excited."
Gary, "Course I am, Blue is too although he will try to act cool about it."
Ash snickered in answer, "She'll be here in a week right?"
Gary nodded, "Yup, I can't wait to listen to the stories she didn't write in the letters."
A week later Daisy was welcomed back to Pallet town to be greeted with a small party much to her surprise. She had spluttered and asked why to which her grandfather had answered she deserves to relax a bit and a party was the best way to do it. The Pokemon were enjoying the food and the boys filled in Daisy on their daily shenanigans.
Daisy, "I'm happy you decided to care for one egg each you guys. Taking care of Pokemon let alone a baby Pokemon requires a lot of work and patience."
Blue, "We know D. But we'll work hard to care for them."
Red smiled, "They'll be the happiest Pokemon in the world."
Daisy, "I'm glad to hear it. I remember when my Oddish first hatched. It was the best feeling in the world."
Daisy spent the week after the party relaxing with her Pokemon at the lab, while also volunteering to help the assistants out in caring for the Pokemon. During the evening Gary would come over with his friends and the four of them would listen to her as she recalled her adventures. Leaf may have been a bit star struck looking at the ribbons Daisy had collected so far, while Green was impressed by the badges. Red and Blue would join them when they returned from their own classes and listened to the teen as she talked about the people she met.
A week after the relaxing time was over, Daisy was ready to hit the road again. She planned to get settled at one of the lodge houses for trainers at the Grande festival and start training. The Pokemon were excited and pumped up just like their trainer and ready to take on the challenge. The Professor had promised her once the festival starts everyone would be there to support her and to take care of herself. Daisy had left after that and unlike last time Gary did not put up a fuss.
A week after Daisy had left the four Pokemon eggs started to glow intensely. However after the many false alarms the four boys had decided to wait the glow out by holding the eggs. It was when they were hanging out together after classes were over and the older boys were watching over the younger boys simultaneously that the eggs hatched surprising the four of them.
Blue gasped holding the little Pokemon in his arms, "A Happiny, I got a Happiny."
The little Happiny squealed in excitement feeling her parents happiness and warmth.
Red was holding his own Pokemon, "I got a Charmender."
Charmender yawned snuggling into Red and making herself comfortable.
Gary was starry eyed holding the little Pokemon, "An Axew, look, look, I got an Axew."
Axew cooed at Gary who was holding him gently. He was a curious one however and looked around his surroundings.
Ash was happy, it is his first Pokemon, "A Riolu. Hello Riolu, welcome to this world."
Riolu looked at Ash before looking around noticing the other young Pokemon and humans who were caring for them. He gave a nod before settling himself down on Ash's lap and making himself comfortable. As the young newly born Pokemon settled themselves the door opened revealing Professor Oak who had come to check in on them. To say he was shocked to see four different young Pokemon in the room instead of the eggs was an understatement.
Samuel snapped out of his stupor, "Well I'll be children, Congratulations! You are now parents to four different Pokemon."
Blue, "Thank you Grandpa!"
Red, "Thank you Professor!"
Gary, "Grandpa, can you check if they are healthy?"
Ash, "Yeah Professor, we want to make sure nothing is wrong."
Samuel smiled, "Of course kids, follow me!"
The Professor led the four excited kids back to the lab where he checked the young Pokemon over before giving them a clean bill for health. However despite the excitement the good Professor was honestly flabbergasted by how the four eggs from different Pokemon groups ended up together especially since the Pokemon belonged to completely different regions. Looks like he would need to keep a closer eye on the trainers that pass through Pallet, they are the only way different Pokemon eggs from different Pokemon groups and different regions could end up together. Delia and Rose were very delighted with the new additions to their family and helped Ash and Red make them comfortable in their new homes.
