Kyle

My eyes drifted back close, reveling in the few minutes of silence.

If this was Scarlett's doing, then this was a matter for the High Council. Though it was the most rational thing to do, it would cause more harm than good. Aunt Lucile would freak at the mention of Scarlett being back in town. Maybe I was freaking out, I just didn't know it yet.

My eyes reopened and I asked the question we all came for, "What's the plan?"

Brianna sat up; the authoritative expression returned. "I do know a contradiction spell I learned at Eastmere. We could use it to break the spell. However, I doubt I'm strong enough to contain a blast if it happens. Plus, the words are new to me, so I'll need all the help I can get." Purple eyes flickered from Sabrina to Amy.

"I'm here to help," Sabrina confirmed. "And, I found a calming spell in my grandmother's spellbook that can help to ease our sexual libido. We could put it up around the school after."

"Nope," I shook my head. "No more spells."

Amy stretched out her hand on the table. "It's okay, Kyle. It won't hurt you. I made sure to research about it."

I blew out a mouth full of hot air.

I couldn't lose control again. But, I also couldn't allow the school as it was: in chaos.

"It's okay," she repeated.

'You have to trust them, Kyleon,' whispered, Wolfie, my mental voice. 'This is our opportunity to use them.'

"Okay," I relaxed. "But, what about the blast from the barrier?"

"That's why I need the help of Amy and Sabrina," Brianna answered right away. "No doubt, it's going to be a massive blast following the breaking of the spell. For this, to work, we each have to create a triangle outside the barrier. Once we're standing in that design, we will be able to contain it."

Somehow her response unsettled me. None of these girls had experienced this kind of spell before, and only one out of the three was a full witch. Not to mention, they were about to cast another powerful spell after a draining exercise. We could only hope they were powerful enough to handle such a task.

"Once the love spell is down, and the calming spell is up, we have to deal with the school population," Brianna continued. "That's where everyone else comes in. We'll have to unload Brian's truck."

"I can help with that," Josh chided, rubbing his palms together.

A soft snicker left the witch's mouth."I was able to bake as much as I could for the school population. We can set up at the front of the school building, so everyone can get a delight before they enter the building."

Josh at the edge of his seat. He caught Brianna's every word.

She paused for a slight second; her expression grew serious. "Whatever we are about to do is time-consuming. The last course begins at five-thirty in the evening. Lucky for me I don't have any class today, but we have three other days. We might have to change shifts. If you aren't up to it, speak now or forever hold your peace."

The room went silent.

"We joined the Young Council for a reason, not to relax," Jake responded for all.

"Good," Brianna beamed. "I made sweets. Heather and Drew will hand those out. The bakery will be handled by Josh—"

"Yes!" Josh did a first bump in the air.

"—and Courtney."

Josh's smile transformed into a frown. "Seriously?"

The Evil Queen shrugged and continued, "Eric and Lindsay will direct the traffic coming into the school premises. Ensure everyone uses the front gate."

They both nodded.

"Jake, Colin, and Summer, I want you guys on patrol. I need every single person whether it be student, academic or ancillary staff members to be equipped with one of my delights."

Colin groaned. "Why do I have to be paired with those two?" He pointed at Jake and Summer.

"Stop acting like a child," Brianna scolded. "But if you must know," pink lips parted for a slight second, then, "I trust you."

Colin's eyebrows shot almost to his hairline.

Brianna ignored his expression and explained, "You have an authoritative vibe working for you which suits this position wonderfully. Jake is a diplomat. Even though he has the power to compel, he refuses to use it. Therefore, his diplomatic strategies are needed. He can charm the academic and ancillary sta—"

"And Summer?" Colin pointed at the human with disdain.

"Is a human. She can talk humans into doing her bidding. That mouth of hers can help us. You, on the other hand, are dominant enough to ensure everyone follows the rules," Brianna finished.

Colin cocked his head to the side as if pondering what was said. When he spoke his face was brighter. "Fine." He didn't have to say another word for us to know he approved of her flattery. The same flattery that could be translated he was a bully.

"What will I do?" Brian asked.

"Once everything is set outside. You, Sabrina, Amy, Kyle, and I will be in the kitchen. The lunch menu needs to be altered. We'll inform the kitchen staff and try to help."

"And, what about those who eat off-campus?" Heather inquired. "Most people just have one or two lectures a day."

"Good question," Ashley jumped in. "Brianna had asked me to create pamphlets. I will be in charge of ensuring everyone gets one." Ashley grabbed her bag and pulled out a stock of gold pamphlets. "They have all the information needed about the Red Moon and also about what they can consume."

"I know most people hate reading pamphlets," Brianna added, "so, I added something to it. It's a spell that urges the viewer to read it no matter how uninteresting they are. It was a trick I learned at Eastmere."

Ashley hid the pamphlets in the safety of her bag.

"Okay, then. Now we all know the plan, let's get to work. We need to have everything organized before anyone starts entering the school premises," I spoke up.

"Okay!" came the following chorus.
