For every bad moment in my life, there was a second where speaking up would be the best option. It happened with my mother, with Kyle, and now, with my friends. However, like all the other times, words refused to leave my lips.
Amy stared straight ahead. "After the Red Moon Kyle avoided Brianna, so I thought they never mated. I started feeling guiltier about what I did. I was supposed to keep him out of trouble, yet I was the one who got into it. Now, he has to bail me out. Mom is going to be so disappoint…" A sob escaped instead of the remaining of the word.
Brian sank beside her and wiped the tears from her face. I studied my fingers. We were in the same boat. We were supposed to be leaders. Yet, we didn't behave like leaders. Both our parents were going to be disappointed in us. Her mother might forgive her, though. Mine would kill me without remorse.
