Unwanted Feelings

"It's a simple question," Josh reasoned.

"Simple?" Courtney laughed. The sound wasn't loud or filled with mockery. Somehow it was like a song. " You never answer any of my questions. When I ask you about Kyle, you freeze up. Whenever I ask you why you hate the idea of me being a vampire, you stop speaking to me completely. Those, Joshua, are simple questions too. You can ask me anything and I will answer without a doubt. But, when you ask me to reveal things about my best friend when you won't do the same for me, it isn't simple."

Kyle was a private person. By the looks of it, Josh grew up with Kyle. Therefore, he got Kyle's attitude for secrecy. Though Colin was more open. He was like them. None of us knew anything about him. We knew more things about Josh and Kyle than we did Colin.

Josh's eyelids flashed open to glare at Courtney.

"My name is Josh," he gritted out.
