"Summer was acting weird," he said in a monotone voice. Blue eyes stared straight ahead, but the wall was of no interest to him. "Teenagers. Many people grieve in various ways. I'm no expert with kids, but there should be some sign of grieving from a child who lost both parents at the same time. There should be something. Yet, there was no sign of rebellion. Summer just acted like nothing happened. Like everything was okay. I told myself she was in denial."
