I hate this family

Jake sighed as he approached the door opening it. He stared at his visitors and he could say that he wasn't in the list bit happy.

" Your presence has been requested by Grand elder Novochronio " Jake nodded in acknowledgement and was escorted to the centre of the clan where elders made decisions.

Jake already knew what they were going to discuss . He walked to the Hall where all elders were gathered , this was involved the whole clan after all.

Jake knelt down like a servant. He loathed it. Being treated like a servant because of his disability , but now he could change the tides.

" Jake Novochronio " Said the Grand elder.

" Yes Grand elder " Jake said.

" I hope you're aware of the wedding. " The grand elder asked and Jake nodded.

" Good ,and what are you supposed to do on the marriage day ?"

" I am to accept the marriage and behave well for my clan " Jake said.

Suddenly there was a burst of voices all disagreeing with the marriage part. Of course Jake was to marry one of the most powerful youths and considering him being disabled raised concerns of the future children to come.

Jake was actually rooting for the elders against his marriage. To him , marriage was a not a blessing but a curse. So far this engagement contract brought him nothing more than hatred among people and increased his bullying .

" This is outrageous , Grand elder , our sons are more capable than him. He's manaless , the doctors even told us that he would not survive up to the age of 17 " An elder yelled.

" I am well aware of that , however the Phoenix clan had already chosen them to take part. Do not forget that you were not ready to partake your children in this marriage and thus forced the weakest children to partake the marriage. But now since the child of the Phoenix clan has grown to be stronger , you suddenly want to partake your children in the marriage " The grand elder was right , the elders were just power hungry.

And as if no one had a better reason for Jake to get out of the marriage , the youngest elder stood up and gave his idea.

" Grand elder , with your permission we could start the Novichi games earlier and the winner would be married to Elena , the Phoenix clan child. "

All the elders agreed to this idea.

" My decision is final , although I do thank you for your opinion . The Phoenix clan took names and we can not change in the last minute . Now all of you begone , let me be left with Jake " The Grand elder said.

The elders left throwing their stink eyes on the boy as they left groaning.

" Jake my boy , stand up " Jake stood up.

" What is your personal view of this wedding ?" The grand elder asked.

Jake was shocked , he wasn't being treated like some toy for the clan in front of the elder.

The Grand Elder seemed in deep thought before dismissing Jake. Jake got out of the Hall and was met by all types of glares. He hated attention especially by those who had nothing good to say about him.

Jake just walked away avoiding any type gaze given to him.

" It's official , that brat is going to be married to our princess " Some youth said.

" God , why doesn't he die. This type of people should be fed to our familiars. At least then they would serve for some kind of purpose " Another said.

" Stinking brat , he's poor , he's weak and he gets to marry Elena . No fair " Someone said.

Jake had even thought about committing suicide before getting the system however he reassured himself he was going to die soon.

Jake reached his home and sighed. He went and prepared himself food considering it was sunset and he wanted to cultivate all night .

He was going to get strong enough to finally going to wipe out those monsters on the face of the planet for killing his sister.
