Bang Bang Bang
Loud knocks bang the wooden door.
"Marcus it's your turn to clean the horses crap!" a large bald man yelled.
"Yes Mr. Dean." A scrawny boy gets ready with his beat up clothes.
"Agh. I need to cut my hair soon. It's getting in the way of my face.."
Marcus headed towards the horse stalls through the longer route per usual.
"Hopefully I don't stumble upon the others." Marcus looked up at the cloudy sky for a moment. He doesn't really enjoy meeting others it is quite depressing. Specially since they are all trapped for various horrid reasons in the hands of Mr.Trokk.
"One day I'll pay off my debt..tsk" Marcus went about his day cleaning the stalls. After completing a few more tasks a man clad in elegant armor came up to him and said "Marcus. Mr. Trokk has summoned you to his office." in a monotone manner.
Mr.Trokk's office?! What could this be about. Could I have offended someone or Mr.Trokk himself? Marcus broke into a cold sweat and followed the armored man.
For once Marcus was dreading his existence. He knows better than anyone what happens when you piss of Mr. Trokk. Or as they call him outside of this mansion. "Shredder". Named after Shredding hundreds of opponents to literal pieces on the battlefield with his unusual ability.
Marcus reached the mansion. He's never been so close to it. It's honestly marvelous, not huge but intricate with its design. As they were nearing the entrance Marcus's legs felt weak and he felt nauseous he felt like his life was about to come to its end.
As he entered he was trembling and couldn't even bother looking around at the beautiful design inside. Marcus started to dread his deceased parents for not taking such a huge debt with them. After all, that's the reason he is in this mess for the past 12 years of his miserable life.
Finally. They reached a big red door. Which he could only assume to be his office. The armored man stepped forward and gently knocked. "I've brought the Seers child here."
"Enter." A very deep and powerful voice spoke.
"Seers child? Isn't that my family name?" he wondered as he stepped into the office.
"Sit."
"With pleasure Mr.Trokk."
"You've grown some. However not as much as i expected. Not that it matters. You are the son of Marcus Seer and Layla Seer after all. I'm almost certain this will pay off for the years of waiting." Mr.Trokk said with a grin.
Marcus confused wishes to ask so many things. Sadly it'd be unwise since he might disrespect Mr.Trokk.
"I'm sure you're curious about what I said."
Marcus nods in agreement.
"Before you were born your parents stole a very precious item of mine. And well, you see. I never got it back, that's because your family at the time held a lot of power in the Empire. which made them untouchable."
"That is until they lost their lives in war. Which is when I decided to take you in as payment. As of right now everyone believes the Seer bloodline ended with Marcus and Layla Seer."
"Sorry but Mr. Trokk. My family held power in the empire? Even so how am I of use besides manual labor Mr. Trokk?" Baffled Marcus asked.
Mr.Trokk chuckled. "Simply put it. You inherited your parent's power and with your last name. You'll work for me. Helping me climb in the empire. When your job is done I'll let you go. Till then you'll be mine."
Marcus wasn't really able to follow this whole time he was stuck in a small room and had to clean the barn endlessly for years to pay back his debt.
Mr.Trokk got up and walked up to Marcus in an instant. Before Marcus could even process his speed he felt a burn under his left eye.
"Child. I have set my brand on you if you disobey my desires I will know. And you needn't have me tell you what happens when people disobey me."
"For the next 3 years you'll work with my right hand man. His name is Lucky. He will teach you many things and help you awaken your abilities."
Marcus was stunned. He wasn't sure what'd be asked of him and he kept feeling a burning sensation under his left eye.
"That's it for now."
With a snap of a finger Marcus passed out.
