Chapter 33

Mr. Shark stopped the car in front of a two-story wooden house with a small front lawn. It looked almost like it came out of a fantasy book.

We tried the keys on the door. It unlocked and revealed a dusty interior. There were empty shelves, a counter and several boxes piled on top of each other.

I went up the stairs and unlocked the door to the apartment. The second floor was a lot less dusty than the first. There were two bedrooms, a bathroom, a dining area, and the kitchen. There was a small balcony, which overlooked the nearby river.

It was small and slightly cramped, but it was very peaceful.

"This place isn't bad," Mr. Shark commented when he got in the room.

I smiled. "I like it."

While Mr. Shark was browsing through the items in the shelves and cabinets, I sat near the balcony and watched the sunset. It was beautiful.

"Mr. Shark! Come look at the view!" I called.
