"What?! Three weeks?"
Jaws dropped, wide eyes and confused expressions. The class stared at the four Rioden who flinched at the sudden exclamation that almost all of the class did except for Aaron, Vantel, and Neodelle who were surprised by the news that they received.
Delora looked at Lily and their eyeballs almost come out of their sockets due to the shock that they received.
All of them gathered in the reception area after a day when Violet suddenly collapsed in the field, in the middle of their completion of regimens.
The medical unit arrived with the four to bring Violet back to her room where she would be recovering for three weeks.
"Isn't that too long?" Theodore asked, worriedly. "And what really happened to her? Almost all of us couldn't sleep in worry."
The four couldn't help but to agree on what Theodore said to them.
By the looks and appearance of Violet's classmates, they have eyebags below their eyes that slightly surprised the four. To think that there would be some bodies to worry about Violet despite her appearance and lack of knowledge and information about her, surprised them.
But little did they know, that three out of the nine students didn't get enough sleep because they kept on thinking and brainstorming about why would a person who is plotting something would suddenly collapse like that.
And of course, it's Aaron, Vantel and Neodelle. Although Neodelle was also worried and thinking about why and what triggered Violet's situation right now.
"Can we visit her now?" Brian asked with his worried expression.
But sadly enough for him, the four shook their heads as an answer to his question. "We're sorry but you can't visit her yet." Kesha said. She was only looking forward to seeing her crush and it was making Virgo because of her fingers constantly fidgeting in front of her.
Kesha knows that she needs to restrain herself or she'll be dead by the hands of Jirile and Ginger who are seated on both her sides. "Just for the time being."
Brian furrowed his eyebrows at what she added. "Why?"
"Her energy is undergoing repairs in her body thus explains why her body temperature is actively rising and she said it herself to be alone for the first week." Herlye said. "Plus, the percentage of immunity is also there. She'd been in the same situation before so the possibility that she'll wake up sooner than expected is high."
"How about the teacher's tasks day?" Theodore asked. He's also worried about Violet's academic performance that everyone didn't expect.
"Ha?" Ginger dumbly asked. She blinked for a few times before chuckling, finding his question absurd. "You don't need to worry about her performance in school. You see, she's a genius."
"But she got a zero on a surprise quiz." Neodelle pointed out.
Ginger sneers, not taking what Neodelle said seriously. "Who the fuck was that? She's no Violet."
At this, she got a smack from Jirile and Kesha who bowed their heads as an apology for their cousin's mockery. Herlye just looked away, getting a secondhand embarrassment from her companions.
"Well, whatever." Virgo sighed heavily. "Can you just explain to us what happened to her?"
Violet's classmate became aware of the exchange of glances going on between the four.
For a moment, Vantel and Aaron's suspicion was strengthened by the actions of Violet's so-called cousins until Ginger suddenly stood up.
"Nnnnope. I don't want to explain that complicated thing. Imma head out now." She said, rejecting the place to explain but the three held her wrists, stopping her from going anywhere.
They all glared at Ginger. "No." They said in unison.
That made Ginger's eye twitch as she pulls her hand back to herself. "No! Why don't you do the favor, Herlye?! Kesha?! You're both smart, right?!"
Kesha's eyes widened in surprise exaggeratedly. "Me?! Smart?!" Kesha exclaimed. "Didn't you just say before that we weren't blessed with a smart brain?!" And she used Ginger's words against her, hoping to not get the place to explain the situation to the people in front of them.
"You said not to bring you with me?!"
"You do the job! You're leading us, right?!"
"Why me?! Jirile's the oldest here!"
Jirile who was just silent on the side gave her a deadly sideward glance. "You're just one day younger than me. You b*tch."
Ginger got angry as she got offended. "Hey! No calling names!"
"Just do your job, Ginger!" Herlye said.
Meanwhile, the s-class was rather dumbfounded than to be surprised by the scene before them. Somehow Aaron and Vantel thought that maybe they were not what they think they are.
Looking at them now looked like normal cousins who were fighting for toys and food.
In the end, Jirile was the one to explain Violet's situation while Ginger was holding her red cheek. She was slapped by Jirile.
In. Front. Of. Them.
Time passed by; the teacher's tasks day took place in the field where Violet was last found conscious. The s-class was participating with no enthusiasm at all.
Have not been for Jirile and the others, s-class would have been targeted by glares.
Class-s have been enjoying the privilege given to them while the Class A students and below were still stuck in normal rooms and things that made them jealous and spiteful against the s-class and thought of them as arrogant and conceited people.
But when some students watched the interaction between the four girls, the glares they've been receiving for some time now somehow lessen.
For the teacher's tasks day, they form a group in their respective classes and finish the task that the teacher will give.
When twilight came, the program finally ended with s-class having the highest grade given. It just proved that being an s-class isn't only a title given to them by chance but a title given for their excellency in various aspects of academics and physical capabilities.
"Are you going to change her bandage again?" Virgo asked when the four came inside their reception area where the rest of the class was having tea in the afternoon a day after the teacher's task day ended.
Herlye smiled meekly. "Yes."
"Will you be needing another fire resistance potion?" Delora asked. "I bought some yesterday for you to use."
"Really? Thank you." Ginger said, thankful for what Delora offered. "But on second thought, we would like to decline your offer. We still have a couple of fire resistance here. You should keep it for now."
"Have your bruises healed?" Vezkud asked the four while looking at their hands.
When Violet was placed in her room, the four always visit her to change her bandage daily. Sure, they were curious about her face but they can't have the moment to take a peek since their presence would distract her recovery as what the four said.
They were shocked to see the four come out with bruised hands like it was poured by some lava on it as it was heavily burned.
They asked what happened out of worry but what they only answered to the question was her temperature.
"Would you like to join us for tea?" Delora asked the four when they came out with their bruised hands. Not that grave or worse than the last time.
At that moment, all that Kesha can see was only Vantel with his leg crossed and sipping on his tea gracefully. She can even see flowers and blinding lights around him that made her squint.
'As expected, my love never disappoints even with ust drinking tea.' Her heart pounded as she admired the sight.
When Vantel batted her an eye because of the stare she was giving, she quickly averted her eyes and pouted as she looked around the area.
Vantel focused on his tea instead since he was thinking that maybe he was just imagining things, letting Kesha slip away unknowingly.
Little did he know, Kesha was already thinking about a family with a smiling Vantel there as well as some mini her and mini Vantel.
"We would like to apologize in advance. We aren't very ladylike as you think." Ginger said as they take their seats, as they agreed to accept the offer for once.
"We kind of get the idea." Aaron said and the rest remembered the time when they were in chaos in front of them.
"Is it okay to ask some questions about Violet?" Neodelle asked took them all in surprise.
Herlye who was halfway from drinking her tea choked while the three were having an error occurring in their minds, disrupting their actions.
'What's with him wanting to know more about Violet?' They thought.
"Don't take it the wrong way. You know, Violet hardly shares anything with us." Neodelle said immediately when they all fell silent, trying to avoid having them get the wrong idea.
"Is that so?" Jirile with a stoic face said. "Sure. But only with those we can answer."
The class looked at each other. Happy by what they heard.
"Where did she come from?" Brian first asked.
"From her mother's tummy." Ginger immediately said and ate a biscuit. Taking everybody off guard. When she realized their frozen faces, she blinked. "What? At least I didn't said vagi—."
"Sssstop right there buddy! Do you want to die so early?" Kesha covered Ginger's mouth before she could even say vulgar things.
"We're sorry but we can't answer that kind of question," Jirile said, apologizing for the first question that they dodged thanks to Ginger's nonchalant reply. "...yet."
"Yet?" Brian heard Jirile's mumbled words.
Meanwhile, two carriages made their way inside Althea and stopped in front of the center building of Althea where a couple of people were looking over to see what was happening.
The first carriage's passenger went out and the line of teachers waiting by the side greeted him with respect. "Welcome back, headmaster Gordon." They said and bowed their heads as a greeting to the head of the institute.
The second carriage's passenger went out and the students who were taking a peek were hooked by the beauty that they saw.
Mr. Ezekiel smiled at the sight of the familiar girl while the headmaster proudly stands before the girl, with his wide smile and raised chin.
"The Class A will be handling her for a short time before she goes to the privileged s-class. I am hoping you to take a good care of her."
Back to where the s-class were as well as Violet's four girls. The nine students were curious about the last word that Jirile said.
She wasn't even adding anything to bring enlightenment to their curious faces. Instead, she just smiled at them and without a word, stood up.
"I appreciate the tea you've offered. I truly enjoyed it but I must go now for some reasons."
"You're going now?" Herlye asked. Even the three don't have any idea where Jirile would be heading and they didn't know that her tea with the highest class would come to an end in a quick time.
Jirile smiled at them. "Yes. I would like to think that you'll be taking care of Violet while I am attending some other business. Ginger, I am counting on you."
"Wait- huh?"
Before she could even fully turn her back to the four, Jirile glanced meaningfully at Herlye who got what she was intending to be understood. Instead of nodding or saying that she got her message. Herlye just faced the class and sipped on her tea as if she saw nothing.
