Advanced

The next few days Kaze tried to look for various ways he could sneak out of the building, but most importantly sneak into the restricted sections. It was frustrating that more than a week had passed but he found nothing. What frustrated him more was that he couldn't even figure out in which building his S-Capsule was kept. He might have to find an alternative escape if he fails to find it.

He tried searching about it in the various catalogs available for the IAEA. Not any direct information, but maybe some important clues. It was possible that it was near the launch center, but last time he was at the building, that before he morphed into his human form, he didn't exactly find his own ship. What if it was at some lab or something, undergoing various tests.

At this rate, probably his stress of dying would kill him before his body's unpredictable reaction of this planet killed him. They had another training session for the flying ships, given the good performers would get to fly advanced level spacejets. Kaze was aware that those ships that he flew the other day were not strong enough to aid in his escape.

He was hoping that one of the advanced jets would be able to leave the planet. They don't have to be durable till they reach Syverzius, just far enough to reach just outside the earth's security envelope. He would plan his escape in such a way that they would send an S-Capsule to him, and he would exchange in midway, having no problem surviving Zero Gravity or the space's vacuum for at least 15 mins.

On the training he focused his best at best at excelling, while the only teammate who proved ready enough to move to next level was Kane. The unbothered face of Kane sometimes morphed into curious mixed with suspiciousness whenever she glanced at Kane. It was as if she could suspect accurately what was wrong with him.

The advanced jet were two seater, which means they needed at least two people to operate them. Both the members were mandatory, and coordination required to fly the spaceship had to be precise to its attoseconds. For this purpose, most of the teammates were paired up if possible. Given how from the entire bunch it was just 6 people, it wasn't much of a problem.

From team A two guys succeeded, while from team D, a woman and a guy managed to pass. From team C naturally Kane and Kaze were paired up. Team C was the worst when it came to teamwork because despite the competition the other team got along fairly well. It was clear that Kaze and Kane would clearly have trouble communicating, especially since they were the least communicating duo of the whole team C.

The rest of the members were dismissed for the day while the selected sextet were led to a much sophisticated and well developed launch area. That's when Kaze realised that this place had more than one launch centers, each designated for one kind of launch. He wondered if his own S-Capsule was somewhere near.

"We will demonstrate how to fly these, and how different they are from the common airships. Pay attention. There are certain aspects where coordination would be necessary or the command would be ignored. You also might not wanna end up pressing the wrong button or something that could essentially end up setting on the self destruct setting, not to mention you might not make it in time for us to deactivate it".

"Can't they do it from down here" One of the guys from Team A asked.

"Unfortunately, no. I am afraid the self destruct mode exists to protect sensitive information during the time of crisis and thus any connection to the base of IAEA would be severed automatically the moment it turns on. The only way to stop it would be manually". The new trainer instructed.

"Can't you just teach us then"?

"We will teach you, but the process is complex. Which is why if you do well , we train you separately for that. Many first timers need 10mins to deactivate self destruct mode".

"Seems way too unnecessary, but okay" his partner commented.

The instructor glared at him which shut him up for good. He looked down waiting for further commands. Kaze was intrigued by the idea of self destruct. Now that he was planning on finding alternate escape it would be nice to have a self destruct mode in various of their intergalactic spaceships to protect sensitive information in dire situations. Leaking the details of their species to unknown lifeforms posed a potential threat to their planet.

They were instructed on various machineries and operating systems. How to use them and everything. Since it was pretty  high tech and can crash if not handled carefully, therefore for the first try they would be given a simulation. Based on its outcome it would be decided whether or not they would make it for the real deal.

The instruction process took a long while, almost twenty minutes. Two of them were starting to lose interest given how the information has already oversaturated their minds. On the other hand, Kaze had no problem focussing given his far enhanced mental faculties. Kane on the other hand tried to segregate the information inside her head based on a self based priority order. Given how she was just another human, that turned out to be pretty impressive. They could understand why they gave them the simulation at first.

The trio were given only one simulation ship, and thus they took turns. It was amazing how despite lacking any form of effective teamwork the only team that made it was Team C. Given how they were given a clear goal, apparently both of them thought of the same strategies more or less and no nonsense attitude of Kane went perfectly fine along with hyper focused Kaze.

Their training session ended at around five in the evening. Having had nothing since breakfast they were invited to join the instructor in their cafeteria for some refreshments. On the way, Kaze kept a lookout for everything he passed. Taking a mental note, he scanned any possible entrance or exits this place had to offer. His roaming eyes only came off curious to the rest of the cadets, but the tinge of suspicion on Kane's eyes prevailed.

On their way to the elevator, Kaze noticed a room labelled as biohazard. It came off a bit suspicious as the building was equipped mostly with technological aspects. In fact, even for any medical assistance they had to shift to another building.

"How come something biohazardous is present here"? The same inquisitive guy from team A asked the instructor. His question made it clear that it wasn't just Kaze who found it out of place.

"These rooms contain confiscated Alien technologies" The instructor declared.

"Why are they biohazard"?

"Because there could be multiple agents like some type of space parasite that could wipe out the entire planet. We must always deal with the unknown with utmost precaution" In a grave voice he clarified.

"I wonder what's the biggest thing that's in there"?

"A tiny spaceship we found a few months ago".
