Dina lies to her mother, Kara

"I don't need that lousy memory back! All I want is to become a rich man the world has never seen before." Adrian declared his goal proudly.

"We do not need so much wealth in this world, when are you going to understand that? Didn't I tell you, not invest in this hotel before? See now, what happened to you? If you haven't done that then you would have not come here in the first place and got yourself associated with a sorceress.

Now don't stand like a tree in front of me and just go, get ready! We are leaving as soon as possible from this place. Who knows that sorceress may come back to take you away," Andrew ordered.

He walked towards the sofa and shook his head in disappointment. Adrian sighed.

"Alright! Alright! I was going to the bathroom earlier anyway. But I do recall something like you stopped me as you wanted to check the tattoo on my chest one more time. Am I mistaken or did I remember it wrongly?" Adrian asked with sarcasm that was clearly evident in his voice.

Andrew scowled at him but did not say anything or even tried to defend himself. He already understood that it was of no use to convince Adrain anymore. All he could do is wait for his Magicks ceremony to be finished successfully. Then he would just let him decide his fate on his own.

As Adrain saw that the conversation had ended somehow, he pulled his tired body towards the shower. He pressed a button next to the door and the blinds automatically covered the transparent bathroom's glass panels.

...

Dina decided to go directly to the tiny fashion boutique that she and Mike co-owned together. It stood in one corner of the famous ADN mall. When she came out of the hotel, she realized that there was no public transport available in that area.

"He not only brought me to a hotel but he even had the guts to make it to be in such a rural area? Did he really think I am an escort or something? Stupid! Idiot! Rogue! Jerk! Bastard! Scoundrel! Brute!..."

She cursed at him continuously for every single step she took on that deserted road. She walked straight and the road got split into two lanes.

"Now which one should I take?" She scratched her head and examined both the roads.

At that moment, she noticed an information board that had the area map placed on the right side of the road. She crossed the road and saw on the board that the nearby bus stop was five miles away from where she was standing.

"You bastard! Five miles? Why can't they provide public transportation in this area? How do they expect all the employees to come to work? By walking five miles every day?" She kicked the board but that only hurt her leg.

"Such a piece of S**t," Whatever bad words she could think of, she scolded Adrian using those while marching the long stretch of the five miles.

It was not like the hotel employee did not offer her a drop to the location she wanted to go to. But she just did not want to take it and declined the offer without even thinking it through.

She even gave the security guard quite a stare when he asked her, 'if she wanted him to get a taxi for her'. That made him shiver in fright and moved back a step as he got afraid that she might hit him.

When the security guard offered her help, she even thought, 'What do they take me for? Everyone thinks I am an easy girl to bully! You all wait until I show you my real face. Then you will all understand who exactly I am! Huff! Huff! Huff!'

Half-way through the stroll, she stopped in the middle of the road and looked around. Not even a fly flew nearby.

"I can't... I can't walk anymore… Should I just go back and ask for help?" Dina wondered.

"No, Dina! You can do it! You must be already half-way to the bus stop by now. If you go back then they all would just laugh at you. No… No... You can do it! You can do it! You are the strongest part in my body," Dina patted her legs and encouraged the aching feet.

Slowly, she dragged her body and reached the bus stop. Thankfully, she didn't have to wait for long and the bus came immediately. After she got on the bus she noticed that the bus would take her home instead of the mall.

"Wait! Wait!" She shouted and tried to stop the bus.

But the driver drove at high speed and joined the traffic. She hit her head and waited for the bus to stop at the next stop. She played with her phone in the meantime. She suddenly realized that she had to submit her design drafts by today for the upcoming fashion week.

As she found a reason to lie to her mother for not coming home, a small sly smile crossed her lips. She got down from that bus at the next stop and dialed her mother's phone number.

"Mom, I am sorry! I got late, so I slept in the boutique yesterday. Didn't I tell you earlier that I have to submit the designs soon for the fashion week? And today is the final day for the submission. I will see you later tonight, mom. I love you!" Dina hurriedly spoke without giving any space for her mother to intervene.

She was just about to end the phone call when she heard Kara's scream on the other end. That made her stop pressing the end button on her phone.

"DINAAAAAA!!!!" Kara screamed her name on the phone

"Mom," Dina whispered while holding the phone with her shivering hands.

"Are you really telling the truth? Or did you just go and beat up some random guy once again last night?" Kara inquired and tried to hold her anger in control.

"No! NO! Mom, why would I do that? I am not a rogue. You had always said that I am such a sweet child. So, how can I even think about doing such crazy things? Ask Mike, if you don't believe me. He will confirm it to you, whether I was working all night or not!" Without putting much effort, she lied to Kara and made Mike a scapegoat.

She was sure that Mike would somehow manage on her behalf and she doesn't have to worry. Meanwhile, when Dina noticed the bus that stopped in front of her, would go to the ADN mall, she got on the bus.

Kara took several deep breaths and tried to stay calm. She kept her temper in check, as she did not want to scold her daughter so early in the morning. Moreover, she had already known that she was preparing for the fashion week.

"Did you eat breakfast or should I come and deliver it to you?" Kara asked.

"It's ok, Mom. Mike said he would get me breakfast," Dina lied once again.

She did not speak to Mike after she ditched him in that nightclub.
