CHAPTER 6
(Going to the cafeteria)
I woke up the next morning feeling well rested I kind of slept from 5pm to 8am. I unpacked my luggage, then had my bath and dressed up, I looked at my schedule to see if perhaps there is a class in school.
Today is a Sunday so the cafeteria opens at 9am and I don't have any class today. I then carry my black Louis Vuitton bag (since everyone carries expensive things I felt it will be nice to blend), I was wearing a short jean skirt and black hood crop top and then I plated my curly hair into two in a kind of Aliciakeyz way and then did my edges I then wore diamond stud earrings and matching bracelet then match my outfit with a flat black converse. I head out of the room and lock the door.
One thing I noticed in Newcastle high was that normally girls dorm is meant to be restricted from males but this is a school for the rich (the school doesn't make the rules, the students do), as I head out of the girls' dorm, I saw different kind of students (basically different categories of pompous white teens who were over spoilt by their nannies), most of them gave me the disgusted look while some were openly gossiping about me, I heard things like (who is this ugly girl? How did she get into this school? She looks awful! She needs to go for some facials! Stupid wannabe.) I really won't give a milk bottle except one of them comes to disturb or fight me, besides I promised my brother that I will stay completely away from trouble. The remaining people didn't even notice me they were busy pressing their phones to even look at me.
After some minutes of walking I get to the cafeteria finally, as I enter the cafeteria I study the place, there was a spot only for the popular kids (you dare not try sit there), there was a spot for the LGBTQ+ community (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender…), and like in every other school there was a spot for the nerds, there was a spot for the soccer players, basketballers, tennis players, cheerleaders (even though majority of them were part of the populars) also the spot for the gossip girls and the hot jocks and there were few empty spaces. I place my order for some spaghetti and meat balls with a bottle of water.
I was bored as hell in the cafeteria, I literally played with my food and grumbled a lot that I had to tell myself it's enough, so I carried my things and threw away the rest of my food then dropped my plate. I then started heading back to my dorm room.
When I got to my dorm room I got bored looking around so I started checking my phone for messages on WhatsApp, then checking tiktok, snapchat, WeChat, Instagram, discord, twitter. (I don't do Facebook, not that the app isn't dope but I just feel it's for old people).
I was popular in Oakwood because my brother was prom king of set 2017, I'm a cute black girl with curves, and my parents are rich.
Not that I treated people like trash, I like everyone except the creepy nerd ones and the all-round jerks. My theory: is if you smile at me, I smile at you then we can be friends, but, if you give me that weird… Nerdy…stupid smile and I frown at you, we can never be possibly friends (period).
I've always kept my distance from two faced jerks. I know them and they know me too. That's why I have been able to keep boundaries, I also learnt a lot from my brother, not that he was a positive influence on me but I learnt from all the girls he left heartbroken. From Daisy to Melissa to Anna to Tessie to Lilian to Emma, their countless. I'm always studying people especially boys, so when they come flocking around me like sheep's without shepherds, I treat them like they never existed.
After 3 hours of unending chats, my fingers were hurting and then I decided to take a shower, like a really, really long shower. It was already 1pm in the afternoon so what good timing, after forty something minutes of bathing, I decided to wash and condition my hair, which took approximately 20 minutes. My hair was awesome, GOD!!! (Always make sure you have a good strawberry scented shampoo around, it's very, very important if you want a nice hair).
Then I took a nap for less than 2 hours when I woke up it was 4pm and on my schedule I had to go pick my uniform. So I didn't find it necessary to do make up so I just packed my hair, wore a yellow t shirt and trousers with some fluffy pink slippers.
I head out of the dorm building, and then go to the reception.
Receptionist: How may I help you?
Emily: please! Ma'am on my schedule it says I should come collect my uniform.
Receptionist: Oh!!! Ok, please sit down.
I sat on the chair at the reception and started playing a cooking game (I just love anything that has to do with cooking, ha! I'm starting to miss home and I haven't even stayed here more than 24 hours).
Receptionist: Miss Rodriguez!!!
Emily: Yes ma'am.
Receptionist: follow me please.
I stand up and then started following her into the room down the hall.
When we entered it was full of everything you ever need as a school girl. Our uniform was a blue cheque skirt (it was short, like really short), a short white sleeve shirt, a matching blue tie, and a deep blue blazer, with black socks (ankle and long) and shoes.
Except from the uniform, Newcastle had the essentials for a school girl, they gave a makeup kit, nail polish kit, hair kit with some essentials like hair straightener and blow dryer. It was awesome.
