Little Chit Chat

Sunday was quite boring, although I binge watched Ginny & Georgia, it was awesome.

Then I talked to my mum but not for long because she was too busy to stay on a five minutes call.

Today, I get ready and started heading for class, I had English and unluckily for me Trisha was there.

Trisha is part of the ''populars'' in school, she's got her hand wrapped around everyone. She is not smart but she's influential so all teachers want to be on her good side so she gets good grades. I was assigned as her project partner.

Emily: hi Trisha.

Trisha: hmm….

Emily: ok, so...

Trisha: hold up, first off all, I don't like you and secondly I'm not fund of black people and you look like garbage. Thirdly, I don't know what weird shit is going on between you and Alex but let it end before I come for you.

Emily: sorry, but aren't we here for English class and our project and not to hear some useless rant. (Sarcastically)

Trisha: I don't really need to waste my spit because it is gold, and you're not even bronze but the next time you try me you're dead.

Then she storms out of class, I listen to the teacher until class ends.

I really didn't care much about her, because I know her type.

After school

I call Bryan too you know, ask him how his doing.

(Beginning of phone call)

Emily: hey Bry.

Bryan: watsup.

Emily: great.

Bryan: Did you miss your big bro.

Emily: Na!! Just wanted to ask how mum and dad are.

Bryan: Really? That's sad.

Emily: (Laughs) ok, how are you bro?

Bryan: I'm cool.

Emily: so... how is she?

Bryan: there is no she.

Emily: is that even possible.

Bryan: I broke up with Selina but there is this hot new girl in campus, her name is Fiona.

Emily: you are just weird you know.

Bryan: yeah.

Emily: for Christ sake Bry have a heart.

Bryan: I do have a heart.

Emily: ok, imagine if someone breaks my heart the way you do to other girls.

Bryan: oh well the case is different, I will break the boys bones, besides you don't date so I have no problem.

Emily: hmm…really.

Bryan: wait…wait…wait!! Hold on a sec, hope there is no boy deceiving you?

Emily: I don't know.

Bryan: hmm!!

Emily: maybe.

Bryan: so there is.

Emily: whatever!! So how is Bella?

Bryan: don't try and change the topic, who is he?

Emily: Alex Montez.

Bryan: be careful.

Emily: that's what I told all the girls who grew feelings for you.

Bryan: LMFAO.

Emily: I didn't call for your schooling though.

Bryan: whatever!!

Emily: is dad around?

Bryan: nah!! He travelled to India for a meeting.

Emily: really!! But he should have at least called to know if I'm fairing or if I'm alive.

Bryan: sorry Em, I'll talk to him.

Emily: how is mum?

Bryan: you know her, also busy as a bee.

Emily: you know bry I miss those days when we used to be a normal family until all this money came.

Bryan: yeah me too but I'm loving the money, I mean…I just spent 100,000 dollars on my new watch.

Emily: you bought a watch that much.

Bryan: you only live once girl!!

Emily: you spend way too much money!!

Bryan: that's why we are different, you're the conservative one while I'm the extravagant one!!

Emily: you could save Bry.

Bryan: I know, but I chose not to.

Emily: remember the year you bought a million dollar necklace for one of your many girlfriend's and you begged me to give you ten grand.

Bryan: which you gave me, cause you're the nicest sister ever.

Emily: next time you get broke don't ask me for money!!

Bryan: oh, come on.

Emily: I just need you to be responsible.

Bryan: ok, I will!!

Emily: ok, see ya.

Bryan: love ya, bye.

Emily: bye.

(End of phone call)

I felt sad so I decided to call Alex.

(Beginning of phone call)

Alex: hey lazy pants, watsup.

Emily: I feel sad.

Alex: oh!! What happened?

Emily: my dad happened.

Alex: do you need company?

Emily: you bet I do.

Alex: give me a few, I'll be right there.

Emily: ok bye avatar. (Smiles)

(End of phone call)

In five to six minutes I heard a knock on my dorm room, I opened the door and standing there was Alex in all his glory (Those biceps are aggressive).

Emily: hey.

Alex: hi.

Emily: come in.

He gets in and then I shut the door after him.

Alex: wow!! Your dorm is beautiful.

Emily: thanks.

Alex: you got any roommates?

Emily: nah!! Its fine, I quite enjoy the privacy.

Alex: true.

Emily: so… what can I offer you? Some chips or some burger?

Alex: chips thanks.

And then he sits on my bed eating the potato chips I gave him.

Alex: you said you needed to talk, what happened to your dad?

Emily: nothing!! Just that I haven't seen my dad in a long time and no calls, messages or anything in the last month.

Alex: have you tried calling?

Emily: his assistant is always telling me that his busy or in a meeting and it really hurts (slowly sobbing), sometimes I feel like the only family I have is my brother.

Alex: (moves slowly towards Emily and hugs her) everything will be fine, ok.

Emily: thanks, I needed that. (Wipe my tears with my hand)

Alex: I know what will lift your spirit. (Smirking)

Emily: what?

Alex: Naruto.

Emily: you've got to be kidding me!! And besides I've never really watched anime.

Alex: what!! Anime is the best.

Emily: (Laughs) ok, if you say so, let's watch then.

(After 2 hours of watching Naruto)

Emily: ok, I'd admit anime is interesting.

Alex: I know, I told you so.

Emily: (Laughs) thanks Alex for everything.

Alex: you're welcome, lazy pants. It's getting late I should probably go.

Emily: oh, yeah bye.

Alex: bye.

Then he walks out of my room. I felt happy, fulfilled, like never before. I had my bath and quickly rushed to bed.
