The wedding night came and both Samual and Sandra were exhausted. Their day was filling with such excitement and happiness with their families and friends at the wedding. It was almost midnight and the party was supposed to be over hours ago but their parents were having way too much fun. Henry enjoyed having his father daughter dance as they worked for months together to create a fun dance. He loved the time he spent with his daughter knowing she would be busy once she was married. The time went by too fast and he wasn't ready to watch his daughter leave and become a wife. Although he was happy for her he was sad as this chapter closed in his life. His wife Stacy was having a blast talking with his family and friends reliving their time watching these two fall in love. Every so often Henry saw glimpses of his wife looking sad. She loved being a mother, the only thing that she really enjoyed and that was over way too soon. And since they were not able to conceive their own this was their only child. Their pride and joy, their everything! Sandra seeing her parents enjoying her day was something she never wanted to forget. She wanted it to be etched in her memory forever to remember when she had sad times ahead...Samual watched his new wife beam with happiness with her parents he was just glad to see that this was her perfect day. She always appreciated everything it was beyond his understanding... how could a woman which had everything also appreciate everything, she was special.
Samual was first to lay down on the bed, he was so tired he barely undressed himself. All he could think was "thank goodness my wife doesn't need help getting her dress off"...He barely slept the night before with his groomsmen who wanted to bar hop. Sandra watched as she saw her husband attempting to stay awake, she knew he was tired and so was she which was disappointing...she wanted her first night with him to be like the books she read...she was conflicted as she felt both disappointed and relieved that he wasn't expecting anything of her tonight. She just wasn't ready yet and one would think ten years together she would be ready. Why was she hesitating with him? He asked her two years ago to marry him when they were of age and she gave a stern no. He was so upset she thought she might lose him but who is ready at 18? Her friends around her were getting married as soon as they could. Afraid to be single and unwed. Sandra didn't feel the same. She wanted to live first and had no doubt she would marry him, when she was ready. She was barely ready now but was more afraid of losing him. Sandra sat on the chair washing her face from the daily debris and completely lost in thought..."Sandy, will you come sleep next to me...we don't have to do anything tonight and can wait till you're ready..." Samual spoke gently as he knew she was torn. He waited this long what is another night? Sandra made her way to the bed in some sweats and a oversized shirt. She wasn't ready and she wasn't going to wear anything appealing that would tell him otherwise. She lay next to him like they were watching a movie they have done many nights together. Before she knew it she drifted off into a deep sleep. Samual was exhausted and watched his new wife as she slept. He must be the luckiest man in the world! He slowly drifted off into sleep himself not knowing this would be the last peaceful night in a long time to come...
