Final Bout and the Outcome

When I opened my eyes, everything was different.

The night sky was substituted with strange swirling lights. When I looked down, we were standing on some kind of stone platform. The cracks in the stone platform were giving glowing the same color as the swirling lights. I noticed there was some kind of statue in the middle of the platform. It looked like some kind of... mutated bug.

I immediately turned my attention to Marth. I need to focus. I can't be distracted by some strange lights and a bug statue.

I pointed at my Katana and tilted my head, signaling if we should continue and he grinned at me.

Whoosh!

I appeared in front of him and begun swinging my sword. He did the same and our blades would clash every time.

When there was an opening I took it and wanted to try out this new combo I developed. Sometimes my gamer side takes over.

I swung my sword upwards and he blocked. I would feint a downward slash and he would raise his sword to block it. But then I repositioned my hand and did a horizontal slash which slit the bottom of his chest and above the belly. After that, I spun around slashed diagonally, sending him back.

I didn't let him rest though. I flew forward and turned vertically, then I spun around rapidly with my sword aiming down towards Marth.

Clang-clang-clang~!

My Katana would repeatedly keep on striking Marth's sword and I was not going to stop there. When he least expected it, I kicked him in the head and sent him crashing into a stone wall. The stone wall collapsed, burying Marth in a pile of rubble.

I got up on my feet and sheathed my Katana. Then I got out of my spirito form.

"Fuu… fuu…" I was taking deep breaths in order to calm my heart down. I can feel the centipede trying to go astray but I managed to sneak some of my shadow magic inside my body to control it from acting up.

For now, I just need to rest. If only I had the time though.

Crumble!

I looked over and Marth had escaped from the debris. He'd look at me and a large smile appeared on his face.

He flew towards me and I quickly got into spirito form again. I'd raise my arms to block but when he swiped his hands, he took it with him. He first shattered my arm-blades and gashed my elbows which were not protected by scales. My arms were now torn off but I managed not to roar in pain.

I watched as he threw my arms into the air and devours them. Then he turned towards me and pounced.

Shit, I don't have enough time to regenerate my hands. Crap, I can't even regenerate with all these lights around. So in a panic, I turned around and quickly spread my wings, an explosive force shot out from my wings, blasting him back.

Whoa, I didn't even know I can do that. I did it in a panic to block but... looks like I found a new technique.

Marth dashed towards me and I turned around, spread my wings, placed all my strength into my wings, and smacked him away into another stone wall.

The stone collapsed and buried him in the rubble again. I focused energy in my throat and shot out a purple beam at Marth which caused a giant explosion.

Boom!

When the smoke cleared, Marth emerged from the debris and threw a punch. I blocked with my wing and smacked him with my other wing which he blocked. He threw another and I blocked, I did the same and he blocked.

I wasn't even fighting with my hands, I was fighting with my wings, as if they were a second pair of arms.

He took his sword and attempted to thrust it towards me but I used my wings as a shield, protecting my upper body. But since my wings didn't have scales, they were easily ripped through and toxic energy began to leak out.

Marth quickly jumped back, avoiding my mana intoxication and I covered myself with my wings, using shadow mending to heal my arms with my own shadow.

After repairing my body, I picked up my Katana and ran towards Marth.

I swung and he blocked. I used my scabbard and swept his feet, knocking him into the ground and brought my Katana down towards him which he blocked again but blew him back.

Energy brimmed at the end of my palms and I fired a volley of Scarlet Bullets from both my hands.

The energy bullets hit Marth and the floor around him. Some of them struck the stone wall behind him and it eventually collapsed.

Marth managed to evade it. He then picked his sword off the ground and threw it at me. I stepped to the side and waved my arms, sending him another round of Scarlet Bullets.

Marth surrounded his arms with vigor and he swiped his claws at my attack, cutting my Scarlet Bullets in pieces.

At the end of his palms, he fired his own barrage of energy bullets. I quickly used a Tyrannical Fist and smashed the ground. The shockwave of my attack blew the energy bullets off course.

When I stood up, I rushed at Marth and focused all of my energy into my legs. As soon as Marth approached me, I threw a volley of full power kicks at him. I did every kick imaginable at Marth and all he could do was try to block but I broke his guard on the 6th blow.

After ramming him with the force of a flurry of powerful kicks, I used Tyrannical Fist and thrusted it into his stomach.

Ka-Boom!

An explosion erupted, but when the smoke cleared, a hand instantly grabbed me by the throat and pressure was applied.

I began to choke as Marth lifted me in the air. He picked his sword up and a cruel look appeared in his eyes.

He recoiled his arm and quickly thrusted his blade in the wing-shaped crest on my body. But when it entered my body, all I heard next was the faint metal thud.

Marth narrowed his eyes as he took his blade out. It seems that the crest replaces my body with a flow of ethereal energy that can't be interrupted. Looks like I don't need to protect that part, but the other parts of my body I do.

Marth switched his aim and swung his sword, chipping off my scale in the middle of my chest. I struggled to get out as I was losing strength. He was about to swing again and I thought of an idea. I concentrated a mass of energy in the middle of my chest so when he struck it once more, it'll cause a shockwave and I'll be able to escape.

I was proven correct. When Marth struck it once more, a shockwave blew him away from me and I was free.

After taking deep breaths, I picked up my Katana and drew it out. I focused all my strength into my left hand and wrapped vigor around my Katana in my right hand. I'm going to go all out, I don't even care anymore, it's about time to end this.

I darted towards Marth and he quickly ran towards me.

As soon as our fist clashed, an explosion erupted, followed by a bright light. And then...

...we were back.

But it looks like the sun was rising. When I looked at the ground again, we were standing on the Lulator's shell which looked like it had dried up a bit.

We were back... but what place were we at before? That place with swirling lights and a bug statue.

I shook my head and decided not to think much about it. I turned my head towards Marth. He grinned and waved his hand, beckoning.

I roared at him and flew towards him. He roared as well and dashed towards me. I rose my sword and he did the same. Then-

Krrsh!!

...

...

"Ough!"

Marth turned into human form and coughed up blood. Blood leaked from the side of my mouth but I didn't cough.

I had thrusted my sword through Marth's stomach and his blade was through my chest. Neither of us didn't have the strength to push our weapons deeper or remove them.

Marth eventually went limp and his head rested on my left shoulder.

"...this...is...my lost..." He whispered. I pulled my blade out of his stomach and he fell to the ground.

I took deep breaths and looked at the sky. I used the remaining strength I had left and pulled his sword out of my chest.

When I turned towards Marth, he was lying on the ground and he slowly shifted his eyes towards me.

"Heh... you fought well..."

He began to cough up more blood as I just stared at him. He opened his mouth and began to talk again.

"I'm wasted... you completely... drained me off... my energy..."

I stared at him and lifted his sword. I placed it in his hand and reached into my pocket. Then I pulled out a bracelet. Marth looked at me and smirked.

"You... is that mine?"

"Found it while I was on my way to fight you again. It wasn't that hard to spot once you can see in the dark."

"...interesting..."

He coughed up another round of blood and I dropped the bracelet in his hand.

"Stop talking. Your cause of death will be from blood loss instead of me killing you with my bare hands. Hurry up and go back to camp. You can come challenge me anytime you want. I'll be ready."

Marth smiled and equipped the bracelet. I hovered my blade over his head and slashed, he vanished right after.

Finally...

I don't think I can stand... anymore...

I'm tired...

...

Why...can't I breathe?

Maybe... it's because I'm tired...

I'll just... lie down...
