Chapter 1

"Maya!! Wake up.. You are going to be late for school. Remember, this is you first day of your new school." Mrs.Green, her mother scream from downstairs hoping that her one and only daughter heard her.

"Okay mom. Five more minutes." said Maya with her sleepy voice and continue her deep sleep.

SPLASH!!

"OH MY GOD MOM, OUR HOUSE IS LEAKING!!PREPARE THE PAIL AND CALL UNCLE GEORGE SO HE CAN FIX IT!!" scream Maya in shock. Then she heard someone laughing and that time the reality hit her. It was her mom who splash a pail of water onto her face just to wake her up.

"MOM!! Why did you do this to your only daughter??" asked Maya in irritated voice as she always annoyed when someone disturbed her beauty sleep.

"Why you ask me? It was your fault. I told you to wake up but what did you do? You reply me with 'Five more minutes'" said her mom and immitates her sleepy voice just now.

"Oh my god mom. You don't have to go that far you know." said Maya and clean her soaking wet bed.

"Then next time, you better wake up early if you don't want me to call Uncle George to fix those leaking place." said Mrs.Green while laughing really hard.

"Hah funny mom." said Maya while rolling her eyes. Her mum went to her study table and sit down while watching her daughter clean her bed.

"You are now 18 years old honey. What will happened to you if I am not by your side anymore? Who will wake you up?" asked her mom.

"So now you are the one who will going to leave me?" asked Maya and stop for a while and watch her mother's face.

"No honey. It just that what if one day, you have your own house and you going to live all by yourself, who is going to wake you up, make you a breakfast." said her mom with worried in her voice.

"Mom, you don't have to worry about me okay. You are the one who have to worry about yourself. You are getting old." said Maya with a smile on her face. Then suddenly silence was around the room. Mrs.Green decided to break the silence.

"You still remember that guy am I right? And you really tried hard to find him. You still have those necklace on your neck." said her mom.

"No mom. I don't want to look out for a guy who leave me without any word, or letter or even a goodbye. And about this necklace, I think that I want to throw it away,but since it is to pretty, I don't have the guts to throw it away." said Maya while folding her blanket.

"Whatever you say dear. Go get a shower and get ready for school okey honey? I already prepare your breakfast. It is your favouritte brekkie, waffle with a low-fat vanilla ice cream. Hurry up." said her mom and close the door.

"Huh, why should I look out for you? You lied to me, you gone just like that without even a goodbye." Maya said to herself while watching the photo frame on her desk. The photo of a girl who was hugging a boy with a beautiful smile plastered on both of their face. They smile to each other as it was like a wedding photo where the bride and the groom look each other lovely.

"I hate you, Jake." said Maya and she went to shower.

"Hey honey. You done already?" asked Mrs.Green while pouring a cup of milk for her daughter.

"Yeah mom. Where is dad?" asked Maya as she don't see her father everywhere in the house.

"Your father already went to his work since it was his first day at his work place." said her mom and sipping her own tea.

Without wasting any time, Maya immediately went to the dining table to dig in her food. She eat the mouth-watering waffle like there is no tomorrow.

"I hope you will like your new school honey. I know that you will make a good new friends. I know you can." said her mom giving her some spirit.

"Yeah, just like my old school, where is no one would like to be my friend, saying that I was just a pain in the neck. The arrogant girl and spoiled daughter. Sure I will make a new friend in my new school." said Maya while rolling her eyes.

"Oh honey. Don't say like that. Not all school is the same. Oh the time. It's time for school. I don't want you to be late on the very first day of your school." said Mrs.Green trying to change the topic.

Without saying anything, Maya slid in her bag on her shoulder and bid a goodbye to her mom.

'I know she will make her second friend' her mom told to herself while watching her daughter go to the bus stop while smiling a little.

Maya waited for 5 minutes and the bus arrived. The bus full of people that stands from the old, young, student, worker and even pregnant women. Maya just get in and tried to look for an empty seat, but to no avail, she cannot find it. So she decided to just standing while holding the hand stand.

After a few blocks past her view, she reached to her destination, her new high school.She inhale a very deep breath and exhale it slowly while get down from the bus.

The school is full of many types of student. The one who is with their boyfriend/girlfriend, with their bestie, with the nerd student who wear a really big glasses and the one who look like a gangster.

Maya with her plain black shirt with some words written on it and a jeans with a black leather boots walk inside of the school. She just went through the crowded place. All eyes was on her. From the questionable one to the hatred one. It was a normal thing to her as she get the same one from her old school.

Maya tried to look for the principle office. She follow the sign that hanged up on the ceiling but for 15 minutes, she stilk cannot find it. Thank goodness the school started about 15 minutes more.

She was so focused on finding the principle room that she almost bumped into someone. Thank goodness,she realised it soon or something bad will happen to her.

"Oh my god. I am sorry.Are you okay?" asked Maya to the person in front of her.

"Yeah I am good. You are new here?" asked the person.

"Yes, and I was looking for the principle office. I have been looking for it about 30 minutes and I seem lost." said Maya while scratching her head feeling shy.

"Oh let me help you. You just have to go straight and turn left. You will find the room just right beside you. I have to go now. The teacher is asking for my help. Nice to meet you new student." said the person and walk away.

"Okay thank you for your help." said Maya a bit loud so that the person can hear it. The person give a thumbs up to Maya.

'It seems that it is not as bad a what I think.' said Maya to herself. She immediately went to the principle office following the thing that the person just now said.
