Chapter 2

'Knock knock'

"Come in." said the person behind the door.

Maya turn the knob and get in the room. With the help of the stranger that she met just now, she finally found the principle room.

"Please have a sit Ms.Green if I am not mistaken. My name is Sarah Brandon. You can call me Mrs.Brandon and I am the principle here." said the person.

"Yes I am. I am new here. I would like to take my timetable and can you tell me what class am I?" askes Maya after she take a seat in front of the principle.

"Yes sure darling. So your class will be Emerald. I will call someone to assist you to your class and she will show you around the school during recess. Is it fine with you darling?" asked Mrs.Brandon.

"Yes Mrs.Brandon." said Maya and wait calmly for the one who is going to show her class.

"Oh here she is. Please come in Ms.Ray. Have a seat." said the principle and asked the girl to sit beside Maya.

"You calling for me madam?" asked the girl who Maya think her family name is Ray.

"Yes indeed. This girl beside you, her name is Maya and she was in your class. I want you to show her the class and later on, during recess, I want you to show her around the school." said the principle.

"Okay madam." said the girl.

"Hey my name is Jenny Ray. You can call me Jenny." said Jenny with smile plastered on her face and pulling out her hand for a handshake with Maya.

"Hello. I am Maya Green. You can call me Maya. Oh you are the one who show me the principle room, am I right?" asked Maya as she saw Jenny face and shake her hands.

"Thank goodness you still remember me." said Jenny while laughing.

"Okay girls. Continue your chit-chat during recess. I don't want you guys to be late for the first period." said the principle while clearing her throat.

"Oh sorry Mrs.Brandon." said both of them in unison and end with a small laugh.

"So why are you here?" asked Jenny as they walk to their class.

"My father just got a new job. So we have to move out from our old place." said Maya.

"Oh okay. So do you already have a friend here?" asked Jenny with enthusiasm.

"About that. No I don't. Because I don't know how. In my old school, everyone said that I am just the spoil rich girl and arrogant. So yeah." said Maya while scratchin her nape.

"Do you want to be my bestie??" asked Jenny and hoping that Maya will accept it.

"I would love to." said Maya and smile to Jenny.

"Okay we are here. I will tell the teacher and then you will come in. Don't go anywhere okay." said Jenny and get into the class.

"Sir, there is a new student. Should I call her in?"asked Jenny to the teacher who teaching the Chemistry subject.

"Oh let her in Ms.Ray." said the teacher and wait for Maya to come in the class.

"Okay so class, we are going to have a new student here. Can you introduce yourself please?" said the teacher.

"Hello guys. My name is Maya, Maya Green. I hope we can be friends and get along very well." said Maya and scan every each face that was inside the class.

"Okay Ms.Green. You can have a sit beside Ms.Ray." said the teacher and Maya go to the seat with a happy face as she can seat beside her new friend.

"So class, shall we continue?" asked the teacher and earn a groan from his student.

"Hey, i think we were destined to be together." whispered Jenny and wink to Maya. Then they both laugh quietly.

After a 2 hours of learning the Chemist on the periodic table that have a lot of things that the student should memorized, Maya let out a deep sigh and put her head on the table.

"Hey, bestie. It's time for our recess.You already drained out? We still have 3 more hours in school you know." said Jenny while laughing looking at Maya that already tired from the first period.

"I never knew that we should learn Chemistry for 2 hours. I am really tired and the class seems boring." said Maya and look at her friend, Jenny.

"Well, sir John always known as the most boring teacher here. He always make a dad joke and laugh with his own joke." said Jenny and shrugging her shoulder.

"Hey let's go now. I have to show you all around the school. We don't want to be late for the second period after this. Come on." said Jenny while pulling Maya hands.

They went to a lot of place. The science lab, computer lab, janitor room, clinic and their last destination was the garden.

"So, this is our garden. It is called Galaxy Garden because the farmer who manage this garden, once have a dream to be an astronaut. He really do love the space. So that's why he named it Galaxy." said Jenny while walking around the garden with Maya beside her.

"Wow. This flower is pretty nice." said Maya and attend to pluck it off but got slapped by Jenny on her hand.

"Ow! What was that for?" asked Maya while rubbing her redden hand.

"You cannot pluck it off. You know the farmer, people here call him psycho.He always holding his rake and always watching the student who always walk near his garden with an intense glare. You are lucky that he is not here because he have family problem or else you are already become his first victim." said Jenny.

"Now let's go to the cafeteria. My tumny already made a lot of sound you know." said Jenny while rubbing her stomach. They both laugh in unison as Jenny made a joke about her flat tummy.

On their way to the cafeteria, Maya bumped into someone chest as she did not pay any attention on her way because she was busy listening to Jenny's story.

"Ow. My head. I am very sorry." said Maya while bowing to the person in front of her. Then she raised her head an see three student with a fit body. Looking like the most popular bully in school.

"Next time, watch where you are going or you are dead." said the person.

"What?? You also wrong here. You also should watch where you are going." said Maya with an irritated voice.

"Hey come on let's go." said Jenny while pulling Maya hands from the 3 guy.

"Wait. Why should we be scare for the person like him?" asked Maya not knowing what is the person capable to do to her.

"Wow. You already has the audacity to raised your voice in front of me." said the person while smirking.

"Okay I am sorry Jake. She is new here. Please let us free this time. She don't know that much about this school." beg Jenny.

"Thank goodness your friend said sorry. Or else it might be the last day you see the sun shine." said the guy with name Jake on his nametag and walk away leaving Maya and Jenny behind.

Maya was watching his back from behind and stare it until he cannot see his back.

'I hope it was not you.' monologue Maya in her mind and walk to the cafeteria with Jenny.
