Chapter Sixteen

Was it just a figment of my imagination?Was it just a dream? I must be hallucinating, there is no other possible explanation for this. I might have just been dreaming. I was not forced to kneel down before such a sinister man. He was not here, but it seems so real I can't tell from reality and a dream no more. This life has all been just like in the movies.

"Orphic." I whispered as memories of James flashed though my mind. Nyctophillia is what I am. A woman in love with darkness as it consumes me. Where ever there is darkness you'll find me and I see a little darkness in him. "Why you staring at me like that?" James voices looking at me with a frightening expression. "Huh" I said in a daze my memories has tied a knot tight in my mind forcing me to remember things I do not want to remember. "You look like you going to kill someone." James answers walking backwards towards the door. Oohmp! Cyrus falls to the floor pulling James down with him.

"what the hell man!" laughter fills the room "Damn you Alexis!" James screams followed by laughter causing me to roll my eyes in annoyance. This day just seem to be getting worse very minute. Wait where is Cara? No one has mentioned her yet and I haven't seen her around either. I need to see her right this instant.

"Guys!"

"what?" Cyrus and James mimicked at the exact same time. They both give each other a weird look then begin to laugh. "Jinx" they mimicked looking angrily this time. "I said it first so you owe me a date with your sister. No cancels." James demands. "electrical shock!" Cyrus cries. I must say Cyrus is looking a little pale over there. What childish bickering is this are we back in kindergarten now. "I said no cancels idiot." James says standing his ground by lifting his head up, shoulders held high and his arms was folded in front of his chest. "Only if she agrees then I'll agree" Cyrus explains.

"Guys stop bickering about me as if I'm not here this is important!" I shouted agitated at the fact that they are not acknowledging my presence. After all I am supposed to be their main girl so the full attention should be towards me and not each other. "Woman you getting on my nerves I think I should throw you back in the system." James groans, sounding as if he was in pain. His words hit harder than a rock and for a second I almost accepted it. "Sounds like a plan bro" I said in return as I stood up from the hospital bed and got my things walking out the door. I look back to see if they were following me but they just stood there and stared at me like I was some crazy person. "What I thought you going to throw me back in the system so I'm waiting." I exclaimed in utter anger. I could feel the anger rising in my chest. At any moment I could burst which would not be good for either of these two.

James walks up to me with an apologetic look on his face then grabs me in a tight hug. I don't dare hug him back even though his masculine scent draws me in. "I didn't mean it." he whispered in my ear. my arm hung loose on the side of my hips wanting to hold him. I know it's difficult to be angry at him when his this close to me so I try to break free from his grip by nudging him. Walking out by the door James shouts after me"Where are you going?" he questions "To find Cara." I replied shrugging my shoulders. James facial expression falls to the ground for a moment then turns around to look at Cyrus. Cyrus doesn't say anything but walks towards me and takes my hand in his.

"I think we need to sit down for this one." Cyrus says pulling me towards the sofa. Everyone was quiet and James looks like his about to cry. "What happened to Cara?" I asked annoyed "I don't know how to tell you this." James says looking down to the floor. Did something bad really happen to her. I hope she's okay she's my family now.
