After Alex had climbed down the tree he turned and faced the Southwest. He smiled bravely and started his journey to the village he saw from the tree.
As Alex walked through the forest, he was constantly on the lookout for slimes or anything else he could use to level up. After walking for a day, he had not come across any obstacles but he was getting tired so he decided to climb a tree for safety at night.
He found a large section of overlapping branches that could hold his weight and drifted into a peaceful sleep.
"HEY WAKE UP! We got visitors." Alex heard Lu shouting inside of his head in the middle of the night.
Alex heard growls coming from all around his. As he looked at the base of the tree, he saw a group of 6 hungry looking wolfs jumping and scratching at Alex with red eyes.

"I am so dead" Alex said in fear when he noticed the level of all the wolfs. "How am I supposed to beat 6 level 5 wolfs as a level two."
"Well, it doesn't seem like they can get up here so just wait them out" Lu said in a smug voice.
"Yeah, and what do I do when I need to eat or drink?" Alex said annoyance.
"You haven't even seen water in the past two days and you don't feel thirsty at all. You have divine energy running through your body that gives you all the nutrients you need to survive for 6 weeks until you run out of time. You still have to sleep because your body is using a massive amount of energy that your mind can't keep up with yet." Lu finally explained why he was so relaxed in a time like this.
"I don't even want to say anything about why you didn't tell me about this earlier but I guess it's fine." Alex continued watching the wolfs as they seemed to lose interest as the night went on.
Suddenly all of the wolfs looked to the same direction at the same time. When Alex followed their eyes, he saw a deer much larger than any on earth, almost the size of a moose, with glowing white antlers that sparkled in the sunrise.
The Wolfs all growled while they stared fiercely at their new pray. The deer turned and took off at a great speed away from Alex while the wolfs followed.
"Well, that was pretty convenient for me, I should go before the come back." Alex said as he made his way down the tree.
Alex hurriedly ran away from where he was trapped until he ran into another problem.

Before the monster could react, Alex sprinted towards it and with a mighty jump brought his tree branch down on the slime.

"That was pretty badass if I say so myself." Alex said as he looked towards the crystal on the ground.
<"Blue Slime" Crystal discovered>
Strength: +1
"I guess I couldn't rely on two slimes to level up forever." Alex said with a sigh as he absorbed the crystal.
Alex Walked for the rest of the day before resting in another tree top and hoped for no wolfs to suddenly attack him.
Alex traveled for a week and a half repeating this. At sometimes Lu would wake him up to more wolfs in the night and he would have to wait until about noon those days before the wolfs lost interest and left so he could continue walking. During this time, he would face about a slime every day while walking.

After leveling up again the slimes only gave him 10% experience so his level up was slow. Alex had also decided to put all three stat points into toughness.
"Hopefully today is the day, I feel confident in my plan." Alex said with an eager expression.
Alex had gotten tired of increasing his experience 10% at a time and he definitely didn't want to use slimes any more for his levels. Today he was going to take down a wolf.
Alex had been collecting long tree branches just for this mission. He had sharpened the ends of quite a few making them into prehistoric looking spears. His plan was to wait until a group of wolfs sat under him at night and then he would pick one off with throwing spears from a safe distance. He had been practicing his throw and with his new strength he was very deadly.
That night Alex sat in wait hoping that a group of wolfs would approach him like they had been on occasion. He didn't have to wait that long after the sun went down before a group of 4 wolfs smelled him and started jumping at him from the ground.
Alex gave a confident smile before he sat up and took aim at one of the wolfs directly below him.

As the wolf opened his mouth to snap at Alex he suddenly stopped and fell to the ground limp with a spear through his mouth sticking out the back side of his throat with blood dripping constantly from the tip.
*Blaugh*
"Thats a lot more brutal than the slimes were." Alex said as he covered his mouth to stop his gauge reflex after he saw the gruesome display he had just caused.
The other wolfs looked at their falling comrade with sad eyes before giving out a howl and looking at Alex with terrifying red eyes filled with rage.
"I was afraid you would run away and I wouldn't be able to use the spears I had tediously made with a single rock. Luckily it seems like you guys are kind of dumb so I will take as many crystals as you will give me." Alex said as he regained his composure and prepared to face the fact that he would have to cause even more gore in his second life.
