Alex woke up and luckily, he didn't have any wolfs around him so he could relax this morning. He also looked at his status and saw that his health had went up 20 percent which seems to be about as much as he heals every night.
He climbed down the tree and before he started walking, he made two more spears but since he didn't have room in his inventory, he strapped them in an X across his back
Damage: +30%
Speed: +1
"Really 'Spear' like it is not really a spear, listen I work hard on each and every one of these give them a little respect" Alex had seen this before but he was feeling confident about himself so he decided to say something.
"I don't think actual spears are supposed to break when an enemy bites them. I also don't name anything so complain to someone else." Lu said in a mocking tone
With all the confidence he had built up completely crushed Alex continued to move forward. He found another slime that he quickly threw a spear at killing it instantly unexpectedly he got a unexpected message.
Suddenly a small wealth of information, mostly things he had figured out himself that simply clarified themselves, appeared in Alex's mind.
Alex took the other spear from his back and balanced it perfectly on one figure before twirling it around his body very quickly and making a lighting fast stab with it.
"Well, that is very cool, I wonder how many levels are there, can I max it out and be the best spear user in the world." Alex said with a grin on his face from his new knowledge and power. Alex went and received his spear along with the slime crystal.
<"Blue Slime" Crystal discovered>
constitution: +1
Alex was happy about finally improving something other than strength or speed from a slime so he kept moving with a grin on his face.
After a short day of travel Alex felt tired again, probably a result of his the mostly healed shoulder wound and hard battle the day before. He did his normal routine of climbing a tree and resting on a few branches before falling asleep.
"Wake up but be quite." Alex woke up to Lu's voice early in the morning. As he looked around not far from his tree, he saw a huge deer with antlers that seemed to glisten in the sun eating grass below him.
Health: 100%
Level: 6
"Thank you experience points for delivering yourself to me once again." Alex grinned while he prepared to throw his spear. The most powerful spear he had thrown yet came whizzing out of his hand, the stag looked up when he heard the wind coming towards him but it was too late the spear was too close.
< 10% Damage to "Great White Stag">
The spear hit its mark on the body of the stag but it simply hit it and feel out. The stag stood on its hind legs and suddenly a blinding light overcame Alex and he stumbled back and fell out of the tree.
<-5% Health>
When Alex recovered and rubbed his eyes all he could see was a sparkle of white running at a high speed away from him.
"Man, right as I got back to being full health this happens. Lu, what was that, why was it so bright?" Alex said while picking up the spear that wasn't able to pierce the Stags sturdy hide.
"That my boy was magic, channeled directly to the deer's antlers to create a distraction to run away. Animals that can use magic are pretty rare but they are all extremely hard to deal with and have a very specific style of fighting. In this case not fighting I guess hahaha." Lu said in a voice that he tried to make sound deeper and more grown up.
Alex had no idea how he would face one of those in the future but it seemed like they weren't aggressive, it was him that attacked first, so he decided not to worry about it.
After that Alex walked for a few more days before he came to the 2-week mark of walking. Over the last few days, he had nothing happen to him. He didn't see any slimes, he wasn't attacked by wolfs, and he didn't see the stag again.
"It's quiet TOO quiet." Alex said while looking around nervously.
"You moron, let me tell you something I went through every memory you have and ANY time someone said that in ANY form of media it would immediately cause trouble for them. I just hope that when you die in the next few minutes you make in fun for me." Lu
Alex shuddered at Lu's words but he kept moving forward with a very bad feeling in his chest. After about an hour he stopped and looked to his right.
"Well, I guess it took more than a few minutes but there you go. So, are you going to go towards the smell of blood and rotting flesh or are you going to keep walking like any normal person would?" Lu said with obvious sarcasm.
Alex thought for a while looking between both directions before he finally sighed and continued moving towards the village.
"Well, that's boring." Lu said, if Alex could see him, he would definitely see a large smile on his face.
Goal: Investigate the strange smell
Time Limit: 2 hours
Rewards: 100% Experience
Penalties for Failure: -200% Experience
"Wha..Well.. I guess I could have seen that coming if I really thought about it. So, you are taking away my experience how will that work." Alex said still afraid of going towards whatever was creating the smell of death.
"You will go down a level giving you a negative unassigned stat point until you make up the level you were at." Lu explained
Alex sighed and turned to his right. He shook his head before sighing again and moving towards the gruesome smell. "I just had to go and open my stupid mouth; everyone knows not to jinks yourself like that."
