Battle against the Crows

"They are even weaker than I thought, this shouldn't be that hard" Alex thought while he tightened his grip on the club and dashed forward.

The crows were coming at Alex from a lot of angles. From his chest level all the way to the tree tops and everywhere in front of him the crows descended on him.

The first crow came from directly Infront of him, Alex swung his club turning it into an explosion of blood and feathers.

The crows didn't seem fazed by the overwhelming power difference and continued their charge.

By the time Alex's first swing carried through another three bird were coming at him from his all sides, with the one in the middle above his head. Alex swung from left to right in a diagonal taking care of two while he brought his elbow and knee together catching the last one before its sharp beak bunched through his stomach.

While Alex showed his high combat instances the other sides of the combat were also fighting. Hemspear adeptly used his spear as a deadly polearm and vicious staff, spinning it around himself using both sharp and blunt side to not allow any crows past him

Tyr however was having a much harder time; he had already abandoned his bow for two short knifes. However, Try could not match Alex or Hemspear in terms of speed, he could only defend his vital points, this caused his to have many cuts on his arms and legs that were starting to slow him down.

Tyr's only saving grace was his sisters low level fire spells, however she was a magic caster who barely trained before having to come back home and run her families shop so she did not have the ability to keep up in this fight she could only protect her brother and hope the others would be ok.

Falmir saw the state of the battle field and grabbed a shield and sword from the cart to join Tyr. With his shield he was able to protect from most damage however he was to slow to counter attack so he couldn't take out many crows.

Even with the help of the three weakest fighters the front was up against the most crows and they were slowing down slowly but surely.

Eventually duo wasn't able to stop all of the crows and a few started to get through their defense and head for the carriage.

"INGRID WATCH OUT!" Tyr yelled while watching the crow just past his range dive towards his sister.

"Im fine watch your fight!" Ingird yelled while flames started wrapping around her hand just like it had been since the beginning of the fight.

However just before the fire shot out of her hand it died out and Ingird cough up blood.

"Wow what a time to run out of mana. Tyr better make it out of this." Ingrid thought as she watched the crow's beak, that shinned with a sharpness, heading straight for her chest at a speed that didn't allow her to do anything. Fulthir stood to try and pull her out of the way but it was far too late.

Just as Ingrid closed her eyes and accepted her fate, she felt a sharp wind blow by her then a resounding thud not far away.

As Ingrid opened her eyes and looked towards the thud, she saw a crude stick pierced all the way through large tree and a crow's corpse impaled on the near side.

She then turned her attention to the new commotion on her left side.

There she saw Alex who had already finished his 20 crows moving through the remaining enemies like a tidal wave. All that was left behind him was blood and smashed crows. Each swing of his club was instant death for two sometimes three crows at a time.

Tyr's pressure was soon relived and he looked in awe at Alex's incredible show of dominance towards the beasts that almost killed him and his sister.

By the time Alex had almost finished the fight in the front of the carriage Hemspear also came to help after finishing his battle.

Soon the fight was over and everyone was having their wounds patched by Fulthir and Ingird with bandages from the carriage.

Soon the group was dead silent while everyone looked at Alex in fear and admiration.

"I know I am very weak for a Full Bronze Stage Cultivator since I don't have any martial skills, but your ability far surpasses what I have heard any Bronze stage can achieve. I...If you don't mind me asking where did you get your cultivation technique?" Hemspear asked with a new found fear that Alex would be upset by his question.

"Lu why is it suspicious for me to be stronger than them?" Alex asked while making a pondering face to buy himself time.

"He thinks you are at least a silver stage cultivator from your strength. In lower worlds like this one Cultivation techniques are rated by how far one can go with them.

Even just silver techniques cannot be guessed or stumbled upon like bronze stage ones, so they must come from somewhere. Basically, he is asking who your teacher or Sect is.

You probably shouldn't tell him you have a technique that doesn't have a grade because it doesn't have a max and that you got it from what he would call a god." Lu replied while laughing

"I come from a faraway land. My father was a great cultivator who passed his knowledge to me before he died." Alex said with a fake somber impression.

"I see. I am sorry to have reminded you of something you would probably want to forget. Anyways we are all in your dept for saving us. I would not have made it in time to help the others if it wasn't for you." Hemspear said while giving a slight bow to Alex that the others all copied.

"Don't worry about it this is what you told me my job was so it is only to be expected that I would carry it out to the best of my ability right. HAHAH" Alex said while laughing to lighten the mood.

The others joined in quickly, soon the awkward air had dissipated and everyone divided up the crystals from the battle, made camp for the night, and eventually slept soundly with Alex on watch first.
