CHAPTER 8

FLASHBACK (Mommy's POV)

I am on my fifth month of my pregnancy. I and my husband  went to the hospital for check up.

It's been two years ago when we lost our first child.We are very careful about my second pregnancy because I and my husband can't afford to loose our second child because if this child will  also die then there is no chance for me to be pregnant again.

Here we are now in front of my OB

"Mr.and Mrs.Gomez,I am sorry but the child inside the Womb of Mrs.Gomez has a small chance to survive"

I began crying and crying.

"Please my dear,My precious Rogue Argonne please survive"

My husband is really sad about what the doctor told us.He put his hand on my shoulder.We can pass this I will do what I can my wife.

A month passed by my pregnancy is still on critical condition.

"My wife let's go to my Laboratory,I will show you something."

"Are, you sure it will not harm daughter?"

"Yes,my dear"

My husband pushed my wheel chair until we reached his laboratory. He looks so happy,I am still puzzled why.

He went near a  big glass cylinder full of water. Something is floating inside it ,It took me a few seconds to realize what is it.

"A fe-fetus"

"Yes my wife,even Rogue Argonne will die inside your womb we can still have her"

"How did you.."

"When the doctor said that our daughter has a little chance to survive I did everything,I study how to make a clone"

"Thank you"

I felt something horrible,Blood started to flow from me.

"Hold on I will bring you to the hospital"

My vision start to blur.

When I wake up I  am on our room, there are so many apparatus attached to my body. I saw my husband holding my hand.

He was very happy,He called our doctor,the doctor checked my vital signs.I am going to touch my womb but on my surprise my womb...my womb is  not big any more ,There is also a scar of operation  on it

"Where's my Rogue Argonne? What happened?"

"Calm down my wife, you were on your sixth month of pregnancy but our Rogue Argonne didn't made it,It is dangerous for both of you if she will remain inside your womb"

"Is she gone?"

"No she's still with us"

"Is it our Rogue Argonne or it's her clone?"

"My wife both of them are still with us"

"Thank God"

They removed the unneeded  apparatus,I am still weak so the dextrose will remain.

They put me on my wheel chair so that they could  bring me to the Laboratory.

My precious Rogue Argonne is on a smaller

Cylinder but not like the clone her cylinder is warm and she is also connected to a oxygen tank.

I go near to Rogue Argonne's cylinder and touched the glass.

Keep surviving my dear.

I also go near to the other cylinder,The fetus inside it looks exactly as Rogue Argonne.

"Please survive Reigue Xenonne"

"Reigue Xenonne? It's a beautiful name for her"

The telephone rung,I answered it .

"Hello?"

"Hello Mrs.Gomez, it's de Sagun"

"Oh,Jurine"

"How are you? How's Rogue Argonne?"

"She's fine now"

"I am looking forward to go there and see her"

"She isn't alone"

"How come? In all of your ultrasounds there is only one fetus that can be seen"

"Reigue Xenonne, isn't Rogue Argonne's twin she's just a clone"

"A clone?, but cloning is against the law?"

"Yeah,it is against the law,so please don't tell anyone"

"Okay"

"We will love Reigue Xenonne as much as how we love Rogue Argonne"

"That's good,bye"

"Bye"

The call ended.

"My wife who is that?"

"My friend,Jurine de Sagun"

"Some one from  the Mafia ?"

"Yah"

"Are we going to return to the Mafia,when Rogue Argonne and Reigue Xenonne are already three years old?"

"I don't want to come back to the Mafia world"

"Why?"

"We already have Rogue Argonne and Reigue Xenonne,I just want to concentrate on providing all their needs"

"Both of our daughters are fighters"

Few months later, Rogue Argonne and Reigue Xenonne are on their ninth month at any moment they are ready to come out from their cylinders.

"My husband I am so excited to hug our daughters"

My husband gently open Rogue Argonne's Cylinder.

We opened Reigue Xenonne's cylinder.

Our doctor checked the both of them.

"Both of them are healthy"

"Thank God they were healthy"

After that check up we clean the both of them and dress them on their lovely pink baby clothes.

Months passed by and I realized how hard it is to be a mother and a business woman at the same time.

I am really thankful that the Mafia isn't going after us but still I and my husband should be prepared.

By this time Rogue Argonne and Reigue Xenonne are going to have their first birthday tomorrow.

We just invited our closest friends,No Intruders are allowed . This is just for the safety of our daughters.

It is 10 Pm, and I was here on my bed with my husband beside me I can't sleep and I don't know why.

I heard a cry from the room of my twins.

I headed to their room,My husband follwed me.

Rogue Argonne is into a deep sleep while Reigue Xenonne is crying so loud I go near to her.Her face is redish and her lips are turning violet.

"My husband look at Reigue Xenonne!"

He quickly rushed to me and Reigue Xenonne.

He lifted her and bring her to the lab to check her.

He laid her on a bed and connected apparatuses on her,I am feeling so much pity for my Reigue Xenonne.

"My wife,there is a big hole in her heart,I don't know why didn't the doctor saw this when he checked them"

"Is there a chance for her to survive?"

"The hole is too big,her heart is still too week so as long as she is connected to the life support apparatus she will remain alive."

"What about a heart transplant?"

"Heart transplant is so dangerous, especially for her because her body is still weak,When she reached the age of  seven we can perform the transplant"

"That's too long, the Mafia's are looking for us and if they find out about Reigue Xenonne's condition then they might use her against us, Our daughters are our weakness."

"All we could do now is to hide her to protect her."

"To every one?"

"Yes to everyone even to Rogue Argonne"

"If that will make the both of them safe then I'll agree"

We made a room in the laboratory,the laboratory is in the basement of our house and the door to the laboratory is hidden,Only I and my husband knows about it.

Years passed by so quickly my daughters grows into a beautiful children. We are doing our best to train Rogue Argonne  and to take good care of Reigue Xenonne.

Now they were seven.We prepared a big celebration for Rogue Argonne. All of her classmates are invited.

Everybody sings Happy birthday so happily.

Rogue Argonne is wearing a pretty pink gown and  she  looks so happy.

When 4:00 in the afternoon we went to Reigue Xenonne while Rogue Argonne was so busy playing with her classmates and opening all of the gifts she received.

We brought a cake and a gift for Reigue Xenonne.

When we opened the door I saw Reigue Xenonne sitting in her bed with a wide smile on her face.

"Mommy,Daddy"

"Happy Birthday Reigue Xenonne"

"Thanks, Daddy"

"I gave her the box of gift"

"Thank you Mommy"

She blew the candle.

"Mom,Dad I am now ready for the heart transplant,I want to play with Rogue Argonne"

"Okay, Let's start?"

"Yes Daddy I am excited to finally meet Rogue Argonne"

My husband injected a medicine on her before doing the operation.

The operation is successful she's now in deep sleep and were still checking for any complications.

It's been two days before she wakes up but still she's weak and it would  take some time for her to fully recover.

After A year…

"Mommy I am so excited,I will finally meet my sister"

"I will go with Rogue Argonne while you will go with Dad"

"Okay Mommy"

I went to the mall with Rogue Argonne,we went earlier.

"Mommy it's my 8th birthday but where is Daddy?"

"He will be here later okay"

"Okay Mommy I'll wait"

As we planned Rogue Argonne and Reigue Xenonne are wearing  a twinning pink dress. My phone rung,an unregistered number was in the screen. I don't answer it,a few moments later my phone rung again and now it's my husband.

"Hello,My wife we are now here on the parking"

"We are here at the resto"

The call ended…

I saw my husband and Reigue Xenonne they are walking to our direction, Rogue didn't notice them because she is busy playing with her doll.

Everything happens so fast,A bomb exploded I hugged Rogue Argonne and we hid under the table to protect our selves from the glass fragments. And that's the last thing I remembered.

When I woke ,I am on a private hospital room.with my husband and Rogue Argonne  they were both still concious less.

By that day we are discharged in the hospital because we only got some minor injuries.

Rogue Argonne is now sleeping after her tragic 8th birthday.

"Where's Reigue Xenonne?"

"When the bomb exploded,I did my best to protect her,but because of the injuries I had I become so weak,I guy a big guy pulled her from  me , sorry"

"Its okay,No one wants this to happen but still we need to find her"

While we are talking  our telephone rung my husband answered it.

"Hello?"

I went to the living room where the extension phone is there so that I could also hear the other line.

"Oh hello,Mr.and Mrs.Gomez"

"Who are you!"

"Who I am doesn't matter,what matters is we had your Beloved one and only daughter that's all bye"

The call ended.

And we again talk to each other.

"The guy in the other line said that they had our only beloved daughter"

"Since they only know Rogue Argonne,they taught that Reigue Xenonne is  Rogue Argonne"

"Reigue Argonne we love her but I would some what thank her because she saved our real daughter"

"Yes that's true and still we need to look  for her"

Days,weeks, months  passed by we still don't have any news on where Reigue Xenonne is.

Rogue Argonne has still trauma because of the bombing.Now she is 10 years old and currently at grade 4

One day she just went home crying,We are asking her why but she didn't answer ,I and My husband are so busy in our business and finding Reigue Xenonne. We just received a letter from the school that our dear Rogue Argonne had killed one of her classmates.

I feel somewhat proud because for an x assassin of the mafia world having a daughter that is so strong and can be a assassin someday is a pride.

We payed  the family of Mathilda for them to be silent, Rogue Argonne had killed many of her classmates and we also payed someone to be arrested for what she have done.

We  decided to transfer her on a school where no one knows her but we lost communication with her until one day.

We received  a letter  written on a black paper the letters are sparkling gold

The letter says that my dear Rogue Argonne is now a part of an Organization that legally kills.The letter has a Sign of someone named  G.Suarez.

It is hard  that my dear daughter is far away from us.

She may had developed her ability late, but that made her strong.

Now  in the present  year my Rogue Argonne is already fourteen years old, we had a business meeting in the Philippines and she's also there I  can't wait to hug her.
