''Fine, fine, I'll stop fooling around,'' Heretic Saint responded as he finally put the helmet on Mecaella's head. ''Wish you a good luck.''
After he bid his farewell, Heretic Saint pressed the red button, and just like earlier, electricity of white and blue engulfed Mecaella's body.
It only took a short moment before Mecaella finally disappeared just like Ben.
After that, Heretic Saint shifted his gaze to the kids who were left behind to see who wanted to go next. To his surprise, Jajah was already there, standing only next to him. Her puppy eyes were telling him that she wanted to go next.
''Master, I want to go next!'' Jajah couldn't hold it in anymore as she exclaimed excitedly. Since she became assured that there was no danger, hidden or not, she also became confident that their Master wouldn't try to kill them or anything.
She didn't even try to ask why their friends suddenly disappeared or where in the world had they gone to. As if she already knew where they went.
One thing she knew was that the device in front of her was set to test their abilities.
Jajah only wished to find out more about her ability as soon as possible!
''Alright, alright, no need to rush. Come, sit here,'' Heretic Saint replied with a helpless smile. This girl sure was lively.
''Alrighty!'' Jajah replied as she sat on the metallic chair right away. The shackles bound her hands and feet right at the next second she sat there.
Then Jajah gazed at her friends as she said, ''Goodbye everyone! See you later!''
Jax only smiled bitterly in response. On the other hand, Leovicente waved his hand to say goodbye with a smile.
Heretic Saint then pressed the red button and just like the first two, Jajah also disappeared when the white and blue electricity engulfed her body.
''Do you want to go next, Leo?'' Jax asked as he stared at Leovicente with a slight smile.
''No, Leader. I'm fine. You can go first,'' Leovicente replied as he scratched the back of his head gently.
''Is that so? Then I'll go next.'' Jax agreed. After that, he walked forward and went towards the metallic chair. ''I'll be next, Master.'' He added.
''Go on,'' Heretic Saint replied with a smile.
Jax nodded in response as he sat on the metallic chair. Heretic Saint pressed the button again and Jax also disappeared just like the others.
Now that he sent Jax off, Heretic Saint shifted his gaze at the last disciple he had. However, the atmosphere there suddenly changed. The usually timid and shy-looking Leovicente suddenly exuded different vibes. His expression went cold and serious as if he had just become a completely different person.
Then, all of a sudden, Leovicente kneeled with both his knees on the ground. He closed his eyes and bowed his head so deeply that his forehead hit the ground.
''Master, no, ancestor, please forgive this child for not greeting you properly earlier.'' Leovicente suddenly spoke with sincere and deep respect. As if he was talking not to man, but to God.
''Oh? How unexpected.'' Heretic Saint replied with a faint smile. He already knew that this kid was one of his descendants. But to think that this kid also knew that he was his ancestor. That surprised him a bit.
''Get up, child. Right now, I'm not your ancestor, but your Master. You shall not greet me like that anymore, understood?'' Heretic Saint replied. His tone of voice told the other party to take his words seriously.
''As you wish, Master,'' Leovicente responded respectfully as he got up from the ground. He then stared at his Master dead in the eyes.
But this time, his expression became colder. His eyes became sharp and fierce as tears of anger were ready to flow down from the corners of his eyes. Then he said, ''But our ancient family has fallen... We were almost annihilated by the Dem...''
''Enough,'' Leovicente was still yet to finish his words when Heretic Saint suddenly cut in and interrupted him. ''Don't misunderstand child. It's not like I don't care. But this matter is not so simple. It's something that I myself can't just interfere with.''
''But you don't have to worry, I will definitely resurrect them and revive your branch family at the right time.''
''Really?!'' Leovicente suddenly responded with a pleasant surprise and joyous tone. A wide and warm smile finally formed on his lips. If it was his Master who promised it, then there was still hope for their ancient family to be revived.
He should be patient at the moment and wait for the right time that his Master had promised him.
''Yes, yes, so right now, you should try to get stronger first. You can take your revenge later when you acquire enough power to help me face them,'' Heretic Saint replied with a reassuring bright smile. But then, he suddenly wore a smug face as he added, ''With the blessing of the Renegades that made you their vessel, and adding the fact that I'm your Master, it's only a matter of time before you can achieve your goal.''
''I understand, Master,'' Leovicente nodded in response. After which, he stared at his palm and tried to feel the new power he could currently feel within him. Strangely, his entirety was itching to try and test out his awakened ability now.
''It seems like you too are curious about your awakened ability,'' Heretic Saint remarked with a faint smile as he continued, ''Why don't you sit here to find it out already? Your friends there might be having a good time by now.''
''Yes, Master,'' Leovicente replied with a shy smile as he finally sat on the metallic chair. As weird as it appeared, that metallic chair was actually a measuring device. And he didn't know how that thing worked. It was the first time he had seen something like that as even in their ancient family, he'd never seen one.
Meanwhile, seeing that everything was set, Heretic Saint finally put the helmet on Leovicente before he pressed the red button. He didn't bid any last words anymore. His disciple soon vanished as well just like the others, leaving only him and the mythical beast, Tikbalang, behind.
''Phew,'' Heretic Saint suddenly heaved a long sigh as he wiped his forehead with the back of his palm. Facing his descendant, no, facing his grandson and acting like it was nothing surely was tiring.
