Forbidden Grade

Just like Skills, Abilities were graded into six categories, mainly Common, Magic, Rare, Epic, Legend, and Mythical. Obviously, the lowest grade, Common, had little to no potential while on the other hand, the Mythical grade had no limits to its potential.

For example, a Common grade fire ability could serve as a good lighter or a good torch. But a Legend grade fire ability could burn down an entire city into ashes.

How much more if it was a Mythical grade fire ability?

The difference in potential between grades was that huge and significant. It was something that couldn't be overlooked even by someone like Jax.

Which was why he should be grieving right now when he learned that his All Elements ability was just a Common grade. However, that wasn't entirely the case.

He actually awakened two abilities!

And the second ability he awakened was something he never dreamt of awakening. It was so rare to the point that it was excluded from the ability categories. A Forbidden grade which was said to have been extinct long ago.

Just thinking about what it could do made Jax shiver in excitement.

But that didn't end there. On top of his Forbidden grade ability, there was also his Title, passive skill, and active skill that was also hidden. Jax believed that all these hidden stats weren't ordinary at all.

Fortunately, they were hidden. Even No.111 who was the guide there couldn't see them for herself. If that wasn't the case, he wouldn't have been able to escape her eyes and avoid being recorded. That could definitely bring him a lot of future trouble.

This must be a secret he must take to the grave. Even to his friends, Jax planned to hide it from them.

''Now then, let me see the description of my...'' Jax muttered as he was about to see the description of his skills. But when he had taken another glance at the first ability he awakened, he couldn't help but feel his heart aching.

All Elements...

That was his Royal Jabat Family unique ability which enabled them to have great affinity to all types of elements. They could use and control any of the elements except the special and unique ones.

In any case, only those who carry the bloodline of the Jabat Family could awaken such an ability. Other people might be able to awaken the same ability with close to zero probability, but it wasn't as good as how the Jabat Family could awaken it.

And if some people really awakened it, they would be most likely recruited by the Sacred Holy Land and receive special treatment in accordance to the grade of their ability.

If they refused, then they would be exterminated without fail or be put on their blacklist for subjugation.

Putting that aside, Jax also awakened that unique ability. But he awakened the lowest grade, almost making him feel hopeless. No wonder he awakened late compared to his brothers and sisters around his age, it appeared like his awakened ability was of the lowest grade.

But that didn't matter now. If he wasn't able to make use of his family's unique ability to become strong, then he would have no choice but to abandon it.

Jax finally smiled. He forgot the matter about his family's unique ability as he took a deep breath and finally said, ''Soul Eater, see description.''

- (Inherited) Able to absorb the talent, skills, ability, etc., of the soul of the dead that has been swallowed by you. You can stack up to five permanent souls and five temporary souls to use their abilities at your disposal.

- You can lend one of the temporary souls to someone for them to use its talent, skills, and abilities for a given amount of time. (note: a certain amount of mana is needed to increase the amount of time to last)

- The soul that has been lent to someone can disappear when the one who swallowed it receives a fatal injury or when you retrieve it yourself.

''What the... this Forbidden grade passive skill is really something!'' Jax gasped with a cold breath. Of course, he only said it inwardly.

But just as he expected, that hidden skill was also a Forbidden grade. And he wasn't oblivious to why such a grade was terrifying and was branded as Forbidden.

Forbidden grade skill could just be used endlessly without the consumption of mana! And it did not have any cooldown. On top of that, it didn't have any kind of restriction. It could be used just by anyone as long as the condition was met.

[Soul Avatar (forbidden)] - (active)

- (Inherited) Sever part of your soul to make it your Soul Avatar. The Soul Avatar is only able to use 10% of your original attributes, but it can hold a single temporary soul for it to inherit the soul's skills and abilities.

- You can also possess your Soul Avatar and manipulate it yourself. Manipulating the Soul Avatar allows you to use all your skills given the fact that you can only use 10% of your power.

- The Soul Avatar can disappear on its own when it's idle for a certain period of time, or when it's not given a mission, or its mission has been fulfilled.

''Hmm... This is something really good as well if I use it the right way. And since it doesn't consume any mana and it has zero cooldown, this skill can be my special skill. I can think of many uses for it later on.'' Jax remarked inwardly. Forbidden skills were really the best!

''Thank you, Master, for gifting me these skills and abilities...'' Jax finally spoke aloud, his eyes went watery. He couldn't help but think about his Master who had given him the chance to become the main character.

Meanwhile, No.111 was snapped awake by Jax's sudden words. She slightly opened her eyes to take a glance at him, but she immediately opened them wide when she saw that this brat was now crying.

Seriously, this brat was hopeless. Should she go there and comfort him at least?

Well, it wouldn't hurt her if she did that at least.
