A kind young boy witness’s cruelty beyond his imagination and attempts to do what he believed the right thing. A world ruled by light is hard for someone who lives in the dark.

The New Moon

I slowly pull myself up and drag her body deeper in the sewer, I need to begin the next step now or she might die. I grab my only clean knife from my pants, and cut open a small wound on my wrist. Her one good eye that looked dead, suddenly gained some life. 


"Look don't try to kill me lady, I am the one who just saved you back there." 


I think she can't kill me, but all I know is what that old man said. And he only talks about the outside when it is just the two of us, he won't say anything with others nearby.


I place my wrist that is bleeding in the mouth of the so called vampire, her one eye is staring at my arm and I noticed something. Her tongue is also gone, so are her ears and nose, the more I look at her the more I see how much has been taken. 


The people that did this are probably at home showing their family their trophies like hunters from a great hunt.


She drinks blood huh, well I will just leave the wound in her mouth tonight. I am tired of being a idiot who saves demons, I will a idiot tomorrow.


Waking up I feel my arm is still in her mouth, but she is now sleeping. Well I better lay low for a while, good thing my home is the literal sewer system.


Her one eye opens and this time I see some life in it, oh she started sucking on my wounded wrist immediately.


"Alright alright, I'll give you some more blood just wait a minute." 


Grabbing my knife I cut the same wound open and place the wrist back in her mouth,  this time I made the wound deeper.


"So this is my home, and don't worry I don't get visitors often."


Pointing to my surroundings with my other arm I show off my home proudly. She doesn't seem to care and is only focused on drinking the blood.


Grabbing her underneath my left arm with my right arm still being used to feed her, I began walking into the deeper sewer. I don't know if they will try to investigate but for safety sake I will go to the harder to reach areas, in the deep sewer there is barely any light but I can manage.
