Chapter 40: Gathering Of Different Powerhouses

A few days before, everyone in the Dragon Eagle City were busy. Cultivators gathered together. Some were making their way towards the Demon King Forest and some were still recruiting members.

All the cultivators range from Peak Stage Foundation Building Realm being the lowest and Peak Stage Core Formation Realm being the highest!

This force could be considered as terryfying! The majority of them were retreating from the Demon King Forest.

All the Beast are much more aggressive and bloodthirsty this past few days compared before. This is also Luo Yong's counter measure in order to eliminate some small fries that is trying to covet his fortunes.

Only those who are truly strong will be able to enter the Center Part of the Demon King Forest.

In the residence of Bai Family, General Su, Family Head Bai Shi and one old man were preparing for their depart.

The old man was surprisingly a Second Stage Nascent Soul Cultivator. He is the anscestor of the Bai Family and the one holding the forth.

There is also another anscestor from the Su Family but he will not join this expedition.

They could not afford to deploy both of their Nascent Soul after all. What if their is someone at the Nascent Soul that tries to invade their territory?

The name of the old man was Bai Fong, Bai Shi's great grandfather. He was already over hundred years old. He has a long black beard with his pitch black hair and eyes.

Surprisingly, he also has the same physique as Bai Shi back then but compared back then, the old man didn't get hunted down by some evil organizations.

They are also keep on thinking if there is something special about Bai Shi that attracted a lot of Evil Organizations to covet his body.

Bai Shi wanted to ask his ancestor about the special physique that he had but Bai Fong always avoided to answer and tells him to explore it himself.

It's not like Bai Fong didn't want to tell him, it is because they suspected that Bai Shi ia different from them.

They could only wait until he turned sixteen and everything that they needed to know would be unveiled.

"Are you ready?" Bai Fong ask to General Su and Bai Shi.

"Yes anscestor." Both of them replied.

This expedition to the Center Part of Demon King Forest would serve as a debut for being the Family Head of the Bai and Su Family respectively.

And Bai Fong will be here to protect both of them. But there is also another reason why Bai Fong decided to join, it is because of Shu Feng.

Base on what his son told him, Shu Feng would be there to protect Luo Yong during his weak state. He was somewhat interested in this young man. Since he was not afraid of the consequences of defending Luo Yong. He would become the enemy of all the present Human that would be there.

Of course he won't join the frey as a request from his great grandson and even his own son. He would only be there to protect Bai Shi and Su Hei after all. Hehehehe… .

Bai Hong and the group departed.

In another City close to the Demon King Forest, cultivators were also gathering. This is the Fullmoon City. It was said that the every Lord of this city has the blessing of the moon.

That every fullmoon, some strange howls could be heard in this city. It was said that some strange creature awakens in this city every full moon.

But this rumor is still not proven.

In the residence of the of Lang Family, the ruler family of the Fullmoon City, a young man named Lang Qing Du with two other middle aged looking man beside him were preparing their weapons and armors.

"You should be careful when you enter the Center Part of the Demon King Forest, Qing'er." Said by a woman who was looking at Qing Du with a worried expression.

"Don't worry mother, I will be careful." He said with a assuring smile. He then look towards the other two man who was standing beside his mother.

"I am going now brother, father." He said while cupping his fist. The two both nodded their head. One of the man which is younger even gave him a warm smile. This is his brother.

Qing Du made his way without looking back. When he was already gone, it was then that one of the man beside his mother fall on his knees and…. Started crying?!

"Stop crying and screaming! It was not like he would die." Lang Qiu, Qing Du's mother said while kicking the man who was crying on the floor.

"Bohohohoo, Maybe it was better to not send him to that brutal forest in the first place." Lang Tao said while crying on the floor. This is Qing Du's father and the current lord of the Fullmoon City.

Lang Jilie looks at his father with a disgusted expression. He always acts like this if it involves his little brother but when he was in front of him, e would act like a strict and mighty father.

He was disgusted since he cannot even show his true self in front of Qing Du and always fake his expression.

"Stop your crying father, Qing Du needs this to temper himself and remove his mild personality." He said while closing his eyes and putting his hands behind his back.

"But–" Before Lang Tao could finish his sentence, a kick suddenly came towards his face and sending him flying away with a BOOM!

"It was your fault in the first place! If you hadn't named him Qing Du and didn't always keep him away from harsh environment, he won't become so mild and soft!" Lang Qiu remark while shouting at his husband.

'Why did I even fall in love with someone who has this kind of personality?' She suddenly ask herself.

She also cares for Qing Du since he was like a delicate girl with his mild personality.

If Qing Du saw his supposed to be gentle mother becoming violent and kicking his supposed to be mighty and serious father who was crying and his supposed to be warm and kind brother being fierce, what would be his reaction?

Qing Du made his way out of the Lang City. When he was already far away. He showed a sly and creepy smile.

"Hahahaha, finally I was able to get out! It has been twelve years that I was confined in our residence and finally.. Finally I was able to go out and explore the outside world!" Qing Du shouted while pointing at the sky while looking smug.

He is not mild at all! Who said that he is soft?!

He is a sly kid and playful kid. Back in those years he always plays a prank on the guards and maids working at his home.

But everytime that they report him, he would lay the role of mild and soft kid who is even more delicate that a girl. Then his family believe that he is a mild type.

He soon got bored inside his residence and wanted to play outside. But because of his 'soft' personality, they won't let him be.

But he soon got an opportunity when an expedition to the Center Part of Demon King Forest came. He said that he wanted to temper himself. And his serious father really agreed.

He was always favored by his father and he was aware of it. But as far as his knowledge could cope up, his father is a serious and doting type and rarely shows emotions.

His mother in his opinion is a gentle and kind one, she would always be there and encourage him to play with swords and do some good works which he finds normal.

His brother is the warm type, he always smiles and give him some lectures on what to do if you capture a bad guy. He always keeps his smile and thought that everything that he was teaching him is also normal.

Sigh…. What would you think his reaction be if he truly knows his family's true personality?

I think this family is a family of actors. What a fake..

Both the man in the sides did not comment. Both of them had been beside Qing Du since he was a kid and they know clearly his true personality. They are even aware of how his family truly acts is.

They didn't dare to speak about it since they find it very interesting.

The two man are twins and both are at the Second Stage of Nascent Soul Realm! They are Lang Pei and Lang Zei.

Qing Du kept on laughing which made the two man awkward.

Cough….

"Let's go now uncle Pei and uncle Zei." Qing Du said while coughing when he saw both of them getting awkward.

Not just cities but also some Sects that are near the Demon King Forest were preparing.

White Crane Sect is one of them. It is a sect that specializes in both speed and grace.

"Defeat all those Filthy Demon Beast Senior Brother!"

"Yeah, show them the might of our sect!"

Shouts resounded at the entrance of the sect and followed by three twenty years old males wearing a white robe with a crane printed on the back.

The one in lead is Ruo Zeng, one of the core disciples of the White Crane Sect. He is twenty four years old and already at the Second Stage of Core Formation Realm.

The three of them were accompanied by one elder of the sect which is at the Third Stage of Nascent Soul Realm.

Some strange cloak man were also gathered at the Outer Part of the Demon King Forest. The one in lead is the man who made a deal with Kai Hong.

There are a total of seven of them and the one in lead is a Third Stage Nascent Soul and the rest has a cultivation level ranging from Third Stage of Core Formation to Sixth Stage.

Even some old monsters are already out of their seclusion just to join the fun.

This is a matter of fortune after all. If Luo Yong successfully advance to Sixth Stage Nascent Soul Realm then they can just forget about owning all the resources at the Demon King Forest.

This is where the law of jungle would be applied. The strong preys on the weak.

Luo Yong and Shu Feng together with the other four subordinates teleported down and made their way towards a desolated mountain.

It span for One hundred kilometers. It is completely desolate. There are no trees and the soil looks like a charcoal.

This place is used for every Beast that wanted to face a Tribulation.

Luo Yong sat in the middle while Shu Feng and the other four surrounded him from a thousand meters away.

They are not worried that someone would sneak since they would be implicated by the Tribulation and will totally kill them.

After an hour, some Beast and Humans appeared in the vicinity.

The Beast were on the opposite direction as the Human. No one made a move and just waited patiently.  

All the Humans were staring at Shu Feng with some strange gaze. Suddenly, a Core Formation cultivator cannot help his curiosity and voice out his question.

"Are you on the same side as those Beast?"

Everyone stared at Shu Feng and waiting for his answer.

In response, Shu Feng instead look towards a man who was sitting cross-leg not far away. He is not that catchy and looks normal.

His hair is in mess and wearing a dirty cloths. He keeps on drinking and didn't pay much attention. He sense that someone is looking at him and then he looked back.

Both of their eyes met, Shu Feng showed a faint smile and gently cupped his fist at him.

This made the man rub his illusionary beard.

'Interesting.' He thought while showing a smile on his face while continues on drinking his wine.  

The cultivator who asked previously felt irritated by being ignored. His face was dark and livid. He is someone at the Nineth Stage of Core Formation and someone who was didn't even had his hair fully grown dared to ignore him?!

"Hey brat! I am asking you!" He shouted. Everyone was getting amuse. They are expecting a fight to break out. The more deaths there are, the lesser their competitors will be.

But Shu Feng still ignored him.

"I wonder if Senior is here to also cause trouble?" Shu Feng ask while putting up an innocent look.

Everyone present twitch when they heard his sentence.

"Gulp. Ahh~ what do you think?" The man said after gulping another mouthful of his wine.

Shu Feng looked at his eyes and showed a slight smile without answering his question.

Shu Feng showed interest in him because of his title.
