Brandon sat atop a building in some city he didn't like being here but it was his turn to monitor this areas hunter facility. His kind the predators had started monitoring the facilities as a way of keeping one step ahead of the hunters. Brandon knew it was important but he hated the city all the loud noises and bright lights still he followed orders and watched for anything important. Brandon hated hunters because of them he was the last of his specific type of predator his type had been nicknamed phoenix by the humans due to regeneration abilities as well as pyrokinesis and wings. Brandon started feeling hungry predators were meant to eat humans but they could also eat human food to sustain themselves Brandon had actually grown quite fond of some human foods including the lunch he currently had pizza. After eating he looked to the horizon the sun was coming up so he climbed down the building and began heading back to the base none of the people on the street payed him any attention but why would they predators had a unique ability to appear like a normal human. Soon Brandon got to the base it was in an old abandoned church or rather under it Brandon took the secret elevator down and was greeted by his friend Damian.
"Hey Brandon is it really morning already?" Damian asked curiously.
"Yes its morning and you still haven't gone to bed have you." Brandon could tell from the dark circles under his friends eyes.
"Sleep who needs it." Damian said jokingly.
"You because it's your turn tonight." Brandon was serious if Damian was to tired something could go wrong and cost him his life.
"Dude you worry to much." Damian said mildly annoyed.
"Well someone has to watch out for you it may as well be me." Brandon said laughing slightly.
"Are you two horsing around again?" Asked Rosalina sounding very annoyed.
"No of course not." Said Damian who wouldn't admit it but he was scared of Rosalina.
Rosalina glared at Brandon. "Is he telling the truth and don't lie." Her tone was serious.
"We didn't do anything just talking." Brandon was calm and stared back at Rosalina the two of them had unresolved business but neither of them had time to fix it. So without another word Brandon went to his room and went to bed.
