While back on Zon:

I did not know what to do. I was upset that I was marked. My mind seemed to have gone blank. I wanted some hope and some miracle.

I got up and moved towards the kitchen and then towards the sink.

Was hoping that washing the marking which was on my neck and my breast with the medicinal water would remove it. But the moment the water touched the marking it just evaporated.

My brain had stopped working. I even ignored the fact that the water had evaporated not realising that it had evaporated due to heat released by the markings.

I went back to the cot and sat on it leaving a sigh. I did not want to surrender to Ethan anymore but wanted to confront him. Surrendering to him will be my last option.

My fighting spirit did not want to give up the battle so easily. I said to myself let me give myself one last chance and with that I again intended to see if there was any other way to invoke the power of the dragon and that way I could get out in search of the wormhole without any fear. My hopes were raised again.

I opened the tab and opened the search window and searched - "Methods for invoking the dragon power" and the results flashed on the tab screen.

Dragon Marking

The dragon is the most supreme and powerful marking on Zon and the fire dragon tops the dragon list. The fire dragon is extremely rare and appears once in a billion year. When it appears Its mostly seen in royal families and very rarely in a commoner.

The marking appears based on the body conditions of Yin and a fire dragon marked Yin will rule Zon along with her Yan.

The offspring born out of Yin and Yan will be powerful and rule the multiverse. The strongest of the strongest forces will bow down in front of this supreme power which will be born.

I felt she i was reading some weird fantasy fiction novel. I continued reading the rest of the details.

The marking will be visible only to Yin but Yan can only sense it and will not be able to see it. Until activated. He will only get a fair idea about the marking he has marked on Yin, while he is in Yin's close proximity. This rule applies to any marking.

Half of the powers of Yin will be transferred to Yan once he has marked his Yin.

I gasped after reading this.

Yin will get back her powers along with the powerful dragon powers after the activation of the marking. The powers may take some time to come to its fullest potential once it's activated. There are various methods one can to pursue, if the power needs to reach its full potential at a faster rate in a lesser time.

As all the categories of dragon marking is considered powerful, with the fire dragon being the most powerful among them, only a powerful ritual can activate it. The only powerful ritual available today to activate it is the Yin and Yan ritual. No other methods are capable of activating it dragon markings.

Till the dragon is activated, Yin will only have to live with the half the powers and she will be unable to survive for long due to the heat produced by the marking.

It hit me now why the water had evaporated and I would die soon.

Shock waves hit Rachael one after another. Her life now seemed to be in the hands of Ethan. Either she survived or just die a dogs death.

If she decides to die her death would be miserable and go wasted. She had hoped for existence of other methods to activate the dragon power, which had given her some hope but all her hopes so far had died just like fire being extinguished.

This was all Destiny's work and Rachael was fighting it without knowing she was exactly doing what destiny wanted her to do.

I need to change my thought process. I will surrender to Ethan which was the last option I had, but not before knowing why he had marked me.

On the flip side I could save Ray with this power.

But after what Ethan made me go through in the last few days, even for a short duration of time, it may not be easy to love him with my soul and heart. My beauty has become a curse to me today. I am just surrendering to the circumstance with my mind and heart shut out to Ethan forever.

"Oh god ! I really don't know why I am in this situation. I'll endure it for this life but please get me out of this birth and death cycle , or if I ever have to be reborn let me be born as a normal person." I said a silent prayer in my mind.

I then checked when is two full moons in the tab and it was exactly in 5 days from now and a shiver ran down through me.

I just shut the tab off and cried till my heart's content. Finally I got up to eat the guey substance as I no longer wanted to control my hunger.

I walked to the kitchen poured the last part of the guey substance into the bowl and had it near the kitchen counter standing. I did not bother to go back to cot. I also ate the Ricama noodles which I had saved for today.

I finally cleaned all the dirty dishes. Turned off the charging counter and went back to the cot. I turned off my mobile and hid it. I did not want to keep any alarm. I just wanted to sleep. These two days felt like a roller coaster ride. I had learnt enough. I had cried enough. I had lost all the hopes I had to get out of here. I was powerless.

I just cleared the history of the tab which I had gotten used to, except leaving the history of Yin Yan ritual. And finally I popped myself on the cot and went to deep sleep
