"You know, the sun really is a bitch. Like I'm just here, trying to adjust my eyes from the total darkness you see all night, and the sun is just there, shining away. Inconsiderate bastard!" Terrick complained. His complaints were cut short as he was smacked in the back of the head by a certain mage.
"You disrupted my beauty sleep because you wanted your injuries healed. I'm not gonna to do this if you keep fucking talking," Clementine warned. Terrick's just laughed at her antics. A laugh that Clementine doesn't know if it was made outta of fear or humor.
"Wait, Mar, did she heal your wounds too?" Terrick asked his brown-hair friend. Amaris, who was sitting on a log, eating an apple, looked at his dark skinned friend and nodded. Clementine finished up healing the brown-eyed boy and left to get an apple too.
"Did you know Gods of Death love apples?" Terrick randomly said.
"I don't know if you are referring to me, or if that's a reference," Clementine remarked. "Which, by the way, no one gets."
"That because y'all uncultured," Terrick replied. He laid down on the ground and closed his eyes, soaking in the rays of the sun. "I love the sun."
"I thought (munch) you hate (munch) the sun (munch)?" Amaris questioned between bites. What can he say, it's a really good apple.
"That was before, this is now. You gotta be woke, broski. Aware of the shit happening around you, ya feel?"
"Nope, not at all."
"That's suck for-Ahh!" Terric shouted as he opened his eyes, with the sun beaming right at him. "Fuck the sun! The sun is bitch made! I put that on Ordo! The sun only in the sky because it doesn't want its ass beaten."
"Can you shut up?" Clementine, annoyed at the boy's rant, said.
"Ahh, I see," Terrick replied. "You know Clementine, they hated Jesus because he told the truth."
"Who's Jesus?"
"Like I said, y'all uncultured."
"We might have to get you to a doctor when you get back, Terrick," Amaris told his friend. Terrick eyes widened after hearing Amaris's statement.
"Fuck no. Doctors are not to be trusted. Never!" Terrick exclaimed, obviously having some sort of PTSD of doctors or something.
"Speaking of what we're gonna do, I really need a spa day. All this walking and fighting is messing up my body," Clementine said.
"Instead of focusing on the future, we should focus on the now. Are y'all ready to go back in?" Amaris asked his fellow companions.
"Eh, I guess. This really is a pain in the ass though," Terrick remarked. Clementine nodded in agreement. '
And with that, the trio venture into the cave again, searching for the necromancer. They retraced their steps and finally reached the bodies of the Varlyand Regiment.
As they walked past the bodies, they couldn't help but feel nervous on what to expect. The chaos energy they sense just keeps on getting stronger and stronger as they near the source.
"The walls look kinda worn down," Terrick commented. And he wasn't wrong as the walls were full of cracks, random holes, and instability. "Also, the air randomly gets strong at times. Like what's up with that?
"Chaos as a whole is meant to break things down and cause anarchy. What we are seeing is the environmental reaction to the lack of Order," Clementine explained.
"I really don't understand the point in doing all this," Terrick said. He put his hands in his pockets and continued, "What does this asshole gain for doing this?"
Amaris shook his head at Terrick's naivety. "Terrick, evil never needs a reason to do anything. They just do it, without any thought of how others might be affected, that's why they are evil."
"Your views are really black and white, you know that?" Clementine told the green-eyed boy. She then turned her head to look at Terrick, "We don't know what he wants or desire nor should we really care. I'm in this for the money, not for helping people."
"I bet you actually have a heart of gold," replied Terrick.
"Like always, you are wrong."
"Whaddya mean like always? I'm like always right."
"What you just said was wrong."
"Lies."
"Nope."
"So...we reached an odd looking door guys," interrupted Amaris. The two stopped bickering with each other and looked at the huge double door.
"Damn, this is like three times your size broski," Terrick pointed out.
"It's also at least several hundreds times your brain size," Clementine replied. Terrick stuck his tongue out at the young mage.
"Why does one side of the door have a multitude of cracks and tons of moss while the other is completely clean?" Amaris murmurs to himself. He snapped his fingers, "Ahh, it's because of chaos."
"Interesting. Anyways, are you guys ready for this battle?" he asked his comrades. He was answered with nods of agreement. "Then, let's go." Amaris pushed the door open, and walked in, to finally vanquish the evil that was camping in here for far too long.
