Isaac wakes up from the bed looking at the environment confused. He gets out and puts on his weighted shirt that is somehow repaired even though it got cuts and tears when he was fighting Kanade.
"How long was I out"? Isaac wonders to himself as he walks over to the door and opens it, only to be met with Kanade standing right on the other side of the door, and he shrieks and jumps back defensively while letting out a breath that he didn't know he originally took.
"Finally awake huh shortie"? Kanade says with a smooth tone as she walks in and sits down on the bed with a book currently in her hand. Her white hair flows down her back as she flips it and crosses her legs as she is sitting. Kanade is currently wearing a silver floral nightgown that accentuates her white like snow skin, she begins to put a bun in her hair as he looks down at Isaac. "Read this book, it'll teach you what the tiers of magic represent for humans, magical beasts, and other things humankind haven't figured out yet". When Kanade finishes giving the book to Isaac, she walks out the room.
"I can for not for my life even comprehend what that woman is ever thinking about. It's whatever though, I should try to understand all I can about this book". Isaac thinks and begins to read the book in his hands titled, "Tiers of the Arcane". An hour passes by and Isaac finishes reading and analyzing the book. While the tiers of magic aren't so complicated to understand, it is still complicated to actually rise in the certain tiers of magic. You begin at tier 0, this is the tier of magic that uses the least amount of magic stored in the body that gets refilled over time. Tier 0 magic is the basic foundation to a magical tree. A magical tree consists of the spells you gain during your lifetime as a mage, some magics just connect to the basic foundation spell you learn when you first awaken magic for the first time, while some mages invent spells to create long branches on their magic tree. The first awakened spell is special spell though, and a mage won't usually find a spell that they are more familiar with then their basic foundation spell. When you upgrade in tiers, your basic foundation spell will transcend in strength, and you unlock another magical tree that can hold new tiers of spells. Though it is still possible to improve your previous magical trees, since it is all connected to the root foundation spell. Once you go past tier 0 magic though, you begin to have grades of magic. For example, a tier 1 low grade magic can't compare to a tier 1 peak grade magic. Whether in magical power, usefulness, and any other aspect, the grades signify a league in magic, and the higher the grade, the better. Now while this book describes the mechanics to the tier system of magic, it doesn't actually specify anything for the higher level tiers of magic, only briefly giving an idea of how they might function, most likely due to it being a book for beginners. There was interesting info about how to progress through the tiers, one of the safest methods was to obtain a potion specifically katered to breaking through, though for higher tier breakthroughs, the rarer materials and potion recipes you'll need. Another method was to find a treasure that can force the breakthrough in your body. The last method was to endure life and death battles, and when your body is at its very limit, a breakthrough has a chance of occuring.
"Though the first is probably the safest method of all of them, it's the most pricey option, and I'm just a kid, there is no way I can procure the amount of money necessary. I also don't think I am lucky enough to just stumble upon some artifact that can help me breakthrough, the only choice is to play it risky and put my life on the line". Isaac thinks to himself with determination etched all over his young face. Just as Isaac begins to think about how to quickly progress from a tier 0 magi into a tier 1 low grade mage, a voice appears into the room almost as if carried by the wind.
"Your mother is here, meet me at the wall that hides the stairway going up to the library", Kanade voice travels into the room, and Isaac immediately begins to head to the wall. When Isaac arrives, Kanade casts a magical spell and reopens the wall, and he begins to follow her up the spiral staircase. As Isaac reaches the top and walks down an aisle of books, his mother spots him and runs up and hugs him.
"Hows my little warrior's day been with Ms. Kanade"? She asks in a motherly tone as if hinting that this is to only be expected of her.
"My day was great mom, I am glad Ms. Kanade taught me magic" Isaac replies with the enthusiasm that a child should have.
"Well that is great little one, now thank Ms. Kanade for everything today". Isabella replies in a calm tone
Isaac turns to Kanade and performs a short bow while saying the words "thank you". Both Isabella and Kanade look at the scene of Isaac bowing with strange looks, for a 3 year old shouldn't know about bowing, but they just chalked it up to the intelligence of Isaac.
"Ok little one, it's time to go home now. Ms. Kanade, thanks for teaching Isaac about magic". Isabella looks at Kanade and smiles gratefully at her.
"Anything to repay the favor", she says shortly before returning back to what Isaac assumes is the basement area of the library.
Isaac and Isabella then begin their walk back to their home. When they make it home, Isaac immediately jumps in the crib since there was still enough room for his somewhat toned chubby body. It was weird to sleep in a crib, but Isaac eventually falls asleep, ending the day.
